DFS College Basketball Winning Lineup Advice For Evening/Showdown Slate on Draftkings and Fanduel 11/25/2018

Good afternoon to you beautiful people out there in DFS land!  You have managed to find yourself in a great spot here at DFS Army.  I look forward to providing you with analysis and picks throughout this 2018-2019 CBB season!  Remember, if I mention a player and do not point out which site it means that my preference is the site where he is cheaper.  Let’s take a look at what games are on the slates for DraftKings and Fanduel this evening.  The KenPom score projections are in parenthesis.

Memphis (69) vs College of Charleston (70)

Miami (73) vs Seton Hall (68)

DK Showdown Slate is Miami vs Seton Hall

College basketball hasn’t been back that long, and we have the coaches teaching!  Save yourself time and energy by letting us do the work.  And, if you want to see a real track record of success, stop by our Wall of Wins page to see what we’ve done in NFL, NBA, and MLB recently.  We aren’t one-trick-ponies at DFS Army, and we are dedicated to sharing our knowledge with you to help you improve your game.

MEMPHIS vs COLLEGE of CHARLESTON

Memphis has a new coach this season, however, they still have the same questions in regards to lineups and rotations so far this season.  Parks returned to the starting lineup recently, while Davenport, who had been the Tigers’ best player so far, moved to the bench.  With what we know about usage so far this season, I want Martin and Lomax in some GPP lineups in this game.  I certainly understand using Davenport, Parks, and Brewton in GPPs, however, I will be limiting my exposure until I can figure out what their plan is.

For College of Charleston, the offense flows through Riller and Brantley.  Pointer is a GTD as he made his season debut just a few days ago.  He was the starting PG last season for CofC and I expect him to take that role back soon.  He is just $3000 on FD for this game and makes an interesting GPP option.  Should Pointer miss this game, I think that Galloway is an unspectacular, last man in option.  The rest of the team is filled with guys who play a decent amount of minutes without contributing much in terms of fantasy relevance.

MIAMI vs SETON HALL

Miami is full of athleticism which makes watching them a lot of fun.  I am torn between Lykes and Lawrence as my favorite Hurricane player this evening.  Lykes can stroke it from all over the court, while Lawrence is a super athletic wing who can do a little bit of everything.  I want to sprinkle in a handful of Hurricanes around those two as I think Izundu, Vasiljevic, Johnson, and Waardenburg are all in play for GPPs.  I think Johnson will be fairly popular after his big game.

With it being such a small slate, I can make a case to use one of about 7 Pirates in your GPP lineups for this evening.  I think guys like Thompson, Nzei, Cale, and McKnight are too cheap.  I think Powell is my top overall player on the slate as he has enormous upside and takes nearly 32% of Seton Hall’s shots when he is on the floor.  Nzei is my second choice to lock in as his minutes are secure and should be tasked with banging away against Izundu.  Thompson is intriguing to me as he put up some solid games for Syracuse as a freshman before transferring.  His minutes are all over the place, however, he does offer GPP upside at just $3700.

MIAMI vs SETON HALL SHOWDOWN on DK

I know I just broke down the game above, however, I wanted to take a look at the showdown slate.  I think you have to use either Powell or Lykes in the Captain spot.  I understand from game theory perspective that a guy like Lawrence or Izundu could be the play as they are capable of putting up monster numbers in multiple categories.  The one thing that worries me in this matchup is the possibility of big man foul trouble for either team, however, mainly for Seton Hall.  With Miami’s slashing style, we could see a lot of FT’s being put up in this one.  If playing multiple lineups, I would rotate Seton Hall bigs and hope you hit the one that stays out of foul trouble, or benefits from others’ troubles.
