This week, with 2 full slates over 2 days, I am going to do my articles a little different. I am going to point out the games that I want to target and then go position by position over players that I like to target. Friday is a great day for college football. The day after Thanksgiving has traditionally given us great games and this slate should be great as well.

Here are the spreads for the slate. I have highlighted the teams that I really want to target. The main game to target will be Houston at Memphis. That being said, D’Eriq King, Houston’s QB is out for the season so it will be interesting to see how the game plays out. I also want to target several teams that are expected to blow out their opponent.
QBs
McKenzie Milton is probably the safest QB on this slate. He is also the most expensive and will be very chalky. He is a cash lock for me at his price with what else is on the slate.
Justin Herbert goes up against Oregon State who ranks 129th in S&P+ total defense. He has a 30 point upside but also has had games in the teens. I think he is a great GPP pivot against a team that can give up huge QB production but he also could dud in a rivalry game.
Drew Lock has finally figured out how to attack SEC defenses with at least 19.88 DK points in the last 3 games. Arkansas is giving up about 250 yards a game to QBs and Lock has the weapons to make this a long day for Arkansas.
Holton Ahlers had averaged over 60 passes a game before throwing for only 31 last game. That being said, he is going up against a top 25 pass defense in Cincinnati. I love Ahlers as a GPP pivot off some of the bigger name guys with the way ECU uses him when they get behind.
Other QBs to target:
- Sam Ehlinger
- Clayton Tune
- Desmond Ridder
RB
Darrell Henderson will look to bounce back against a UH team that gives up over 34 DK points a game to RBs. He has over 20 rushes in 4 games this year. He is very expensive this week so GPP only for me. Patrick Taylor is a great pivot at a little discount as well.
Jermar Jefferson gets the ball 18+ times a game and is averaging 6 yards a carry. Even when they have gone up against potent offenses, Oregon State has continued to feed Jefferson. I think they continue to feed him this week in the Civil War game.
Jaret Patterson had at least 17 carries in 5 straight games before last week’s blowout loss. This week, he gets to go against the 122nd ranked run defense of Bowling Green. I look for Patterson to have a big day against a team giving up almost 27 DK points to RBs a game.
CJ Verdell might be my play of the week. At under $6,000, Verdell goes up against the worst run defense in all of FBS that is giving up over 46 DK points a week to opposing RBs. Verdell was injured last week but has been cleared to play in a great matchup!
Patrick Carr should see an increased role with D’Eriq King out for the year. Houston goes up against a Memphis team giving up over 150 yards a week on the ground. With King not taking away the rushing TDs that he is known for, Carr could feast!
Other RBs to target:
- Pooka Williams Jr
- Keaontay Ingram
- Larry Rountree
WR
Lil’Jordan Humphrey has been one of the best receivers in DFS this year and should feast against a Kansas team that is bottom 25 in the country against the pass.
Trevon Brown has upside over 40 DK points in this ECU offense. He makes for a great stack with Ahlers and could see a ton of targets in a game that ECU could be trailing. Tyler Snead has come back from injury to be a great second target as well. I like him if you need value.
Emanuel Hall has finally come back from injury and should have a field day against an Arkansas team giving up over 35 DK points a game. Hall came into the season as one of the top receivers in the country. He is a great GPP option this week.
Dredrick Snelson is tied for most targets over the last 3 weeks yet he is offered at a discount compared to the other starters. I really like stacking Snelson with Milton at the price he is at, to allow you to pay up other places.
Other WRs to target:
- Dillon Mitchell
- Scott Miller
- Anthony Johnson
- Damonte Coxie
- Albert Okwuegbunam
- Kahlil Lewis
- Devin Duvernay
