I am going to briefly touch on where to find some information and data and where to really dig to find those golden nuggets for CFB. The one big difference from CFB this year from last is the S-FLEX spot which allows you to play 2 QBs, which is HUGE! We will more than likely look at 2 QBs when I dive deep into 8 game slate in another article.
QB
Ty Gangi (Nevada)
For whatever reason, Nevada PorSt game is not on Fanduel. So, the DK players have a great option with Ty Gangi tonight against Portland State. He averaged 24 points last season and the Vegas total is 47.5 O/U. He’s at $10,400 but he’s hard to pass up with this matchup.
K.J. Carta-Samuels (CSU)
After a massive 537-yards, 5 TDs game, Carta-Samuels faces the in-state rival Colorado Buffalos. The Buffalos were horrible against the pass at 106th overall. Carta-Samuels should continue to up his Heisman hopes.
Value: Davis Alexander (Portland State)
It’s another DK only game, but at $5000, he’s really hard to pass up against the Nevada Defense that ranked 129th against the pass in 2017.
RB
Bryce Love (Stanford)
Hands down one of the best backs in all of college football. He averaged 25.8 DKPts a game last season. He’s going to get the volume only risk is that double-digit spread.
Jonathan Taylor (WISC)
Another Heisman hopeful, he averaged 141.2 yards/g last year. He’s expensive for a reason and you know what you’ll get from him. His ceiling is 50 and should see up to 35 touches tonight.
Juwan Washington (SDST)
A college that’s produced a NCAA leading back over the years, has another one. Last season, Washington averaged 6.6 yards a carry. Should have no problem against Stanford hitting pay dirt.
Value: Gerold Bright (Utah St)
Won the starting gig in camp, Bright is priced way under his upside. He’s a former WR and should be a great way to fit in the higher priced stars.
Value: Kell Walker (Army)
Army’s triple-option offense is always tough to defend. They ran for over 360 yards a game last year!!! Walker is also the leading receiver for the Black Knights. Dirt cheap, with upside very GPP.
WR
Olabisi Johnson (CSU)
He had 157-2 TDs last game and just like Carta-Samuels, he gets that weak Colorado defense. Stacking with Carta-Samuels seems like a logically play.
Brenden O’Leary-Orange (Nevada)
One of the top options for Nevada at WR, “BOO” should get plenty of looks tonight. High paced game and high total.
JJ. Arcega-Whiteside(Stanford)
He is the son of two professional athletes, you can google who, is back and will be a top WR this season for the Cardinals. He averaged 16.9 DKPts last season.
Value: Charlie Taumoepeau (Portland State) Sitting at $3900 on DK, Taumoepeau is the ideal Gpp tonight in the high total game. He’s a TE but they should be passing if game theory is correct.
