We are back again for another UFC fight card. We have 13 fights on this card and it’s pretty solid top to bottom. Draftkings also has some really good payouts in tournaments this week. While chasing GPP’s is fun don’t forget about using proper bankroll management. I like to use the 80-20 rule. Which is 80% of my allotted amount for a card in cash games and 20% in tournaments. If this is your 1st time trying MMA don’t hesitate to hop in our Slack Chat and myself or 1 of our other coaches will be more than willing to help you out. Also be sure to check out our Research Station which has everything you need in one place to help you construct your lineups. There is also our red hot Domination Station that has been helping our members crush since it’s been released. Last and certainly not least give a listen to our VIP Podcast where Geek and myself rundown the entire card. With all the tools we have available you will be more than prepared for this card. Let’s get down to the breakdowns.

Ige (-150) 8.3k vs Santiago (+130) 7.9k
Ige is a tough fighter. He is an ok striker (3.14 SS’s per minute) and has solid takedowns (2.64 per fight). Santiago is the more experienced fighter. He is a good striker (3.55 SS’s) and has decent TD’s (2.74 per fight). Going off odds Vegas likes this to go to decision. Just going off both fighters stats I think we need to target this fight in tournaments. This is not a fight you need to have 100% exposure to but, I think it’s a good idea to have some exposure to both. My slight lean is Ige.
Oliveira (-150) vs Guida (+130) 7.8k
Oliveira is a solid all-around fighter. He is a solid striker and has good submissions. Guida has solid takedowns and good cardio. I don’t trust either of these fighters for cash games. I don’t mind taking a shot on either in tournaments though. Guida has been submitted 9 times so, that puts Oliveira in play. Plus in previous fights, Oliveira seems to get disinterested and gets frustrated. So, in turn, I don’t hate Guida as a punt. More than likely I will just cover myself by having exposure to both.
Benavidez (-260) 9k vs Pettis (+220) 7.2k
Benavidez is coming into this fight off a significant layoff. He is a solid wrestler and has good TD’s. Pettis is a solid striker that likes to utilize his speed. I really like Benavidez as a tournament play. I don’t think he will be super popular either. Pettis has been taken down in his last 4 fights. If Benavidez has succeeded in doing the same look for him to rack up points through TD’s and with advances. Pettis is in play as a punt.

Smith (-310) 9.2k vs Evans (+255) 7k
Smith is an aggressive fighter and is moving up a weight class. He is a good striker and has solid cardio. Evans is well on the decline. He is an ok striker and has decent TD’s. The main problem with Evans is he has a glass jaw now. So, he never gets his wrestling or striking game going lately. I probably won’t have a ton of exposure to this fight. Vegas thinks this fight will go into the later rounds. If that’s the case Smith will most likely not reach value. Overall if you are looking to limit your fighter pool you can feel perfectly fine fading this fight.
Coulter (-170) 8.7k vs La Rocha (+150) 7.5k
Coulter is a decent striker and has solid power. La Rocha is an ok striker and has decent TD’s. This fight has 1 of the best finishing props on the entire card (-450 to end inside the distance). For that reason alone you need to target this fight in tournaments. My preferred play is Coulter but, with this prop, you need to have some exposure to La Rocha as well. I don’t think either of these two are safe for cash games.
Bektic (-250) 8.8k vs Lamas (+210) 7.4k
Bektic is a solid striker and a good wrestler. He has good TDs and good cardio. Lamas is a good striker and has solid kicks. He is a good wrestler and has decent submissions. I like Bektic in all formats. Lamas is in play as a punt. I just think Bektic gets his ground game going in this fight and he puts up a solid score.

Gadelha (-525) 9.4k vs Esparza (+415) 6.8k
Gadelha is a good wrestler and has good Jiu Jitsu. She has solid kicks and good power. Esparza is an ok striker and decent wrestler. I like Gadelha in all formats if you can afford her. She most likely dominates. Esparza makes for an interesting cash punt if you want to go that route. She opens up a ton of room up top to get exposure to the heavier favorites. I haven’t decided which route I am taking in cash.
Blaydes (-185) 8.5k vs Overeem (+160) 7.7k
Blaydes is athletic and is a solid striker. He is a solid wrestler and has good TD’s. Overeem is a solid striker and has good knees. He has decent submissions. I like Blaydes in all formats. He has multiple ways he can win. Overeem is playable in tournaments. I just don’t know how much exposure I want to him since he has shown to have a suspect chin recently. My preferred play is Blaydes.
Jackson (-225) 8.6k vs Punk (+185) 7.6k
Not a ton to go off with either fighter. Unfortunately, this fight will most likely end inside the distance. For that reason, we should target both fighters to an extent. I just haven’t decided what my exposure will be.

Tuivasa (-240) 9.3k vs Arlovski (+200) 6.9k
Tuivasa is aggressive and a good striker. He has good leg kicks and is athletic. Arlovski is a veteran. He is a solid striker and has a good jab. Another fight you need to have some exposure to in tournaments (-325 to end inside the distance). My preferred play is Tuivasa if you can afford him. Arlovski is in play has a punt to have a small amount of exposure to.
Holm (-225) 8.9k vs Anderson (+185) 7.3k
Holm has very good leg kicks and a decent jab. Anderson is making her UFC debut. She will be at a size advantage. I will not have that much exposure to this fight. While I think Holm likely wins it’s most likely by decision. There is no way she reaches value if that’s the case. If you are doing the $1 150 max then maybe have a small amount of both but nothing crazy. Anderson is worth using in some GPP’s.
Covington (-130) 8k vs Dos Anjos (+110) 8.2k
In cash games, I think this makes for a very strong fight to stack. I am going to reserve my thoughts on this fight to our VIP’s. I will give them in Slack and our Podcast.

Whittaker (-200) 9.1k vs Romero (+170) 7.1k
Another fight you could potentially stack.
Whittaker is a solid striker and has good power. Romero aggressive and has decent TD’s. I like Romero in cash. I will give my tournament thoughts for this fight on our pod.
