It happened again. I cannot make this stuff up if I wanted to. This past weekend on FanDuel and DraftKings, we had a member win $250,000! This is our 8th member in the last 60-days to win between $50,000-$250,000! The DFS Army helmets are up and down the standings across all DFS platforms and our membership is closing in on 2,000 because of it. We have enormous momentum, no doubt about it.
On Sunday, in the $250 Sun NFL Do You Want More large field GPP, member “dbarlow87”, who also has a live final seat and had a $40,000 winning night a few weeks ago, took down first place and walked away with a life-changing $250,000!
If you want to read about this $250,000 win and seven more $50,000 – $150,000 winning lineups, go ahead and read this article!
Before we get started I just wanted to post this here just in case any of OUR members missed it on our VIP Slack the other morning. We’ve had four qualifier seats won on DK, several on FanDuel, eight wins between $50,000 and $250,o00 and dozens of 5-digit winning lineups by members over the past 60-days. I sent this little message out in Slack because recently our members keep praising the staff in Slack for all our extra one-on-one work and discussions. This goes out to all of you, the best members in the universe:
Guards
Eric Bledsoe has been very inconsistent as of late which leaves him as a GPP option only. I prefer him on DraftKings because his price leaves a lot of wiggle room for a scoring ceiling that smashes value. In a pace-up game where the Bucks are implied to score 114.0 points (8.0 more than their season-long average), Bledsoe and his 24% usage rate could see a one game boost to his 1.08 FP/Min scoring average.
Jawun Evans is going to make it hard to pay up for any point guard today when we also might have Shabazz Napier (who I break down a bit later in this article) to plug in at point guard. Evans might be the only other healthy ball-handler, in addition to Lou Williams, on the Clippers roster for Wednesday’s game with the Warriors. Evans scored 29 fantasy points and took 16-shots against the Warriors just two games ago. He then followed that performance up by scoring 43 fantasy points and playing 39-minutes against the Hawks. He’s only $4,700 on both FanDuel and DraftKings and represents superb value if the walking dead still roam the Clippers roster on Wednesday.
Goran Dragic is not only healthy now but he’s taking a ridiculous amount of shots. Over the last five games, he has taken 18-22 field goal attempts in each game and scored at least 28 FanDuel points in all of them. In three of the games he scored 46-49 FanDuel points. If we look back seven games, he’s had a usage rate between 25% and 35% in all of them. His minutes are up, he’s shooting the ball a ton, and the scoring is following. Yet, his price tag has not elevated one bit.
At $6,500, he represents elite slate winning value in a pace-up game against a defense that hemorrhages points to opposing guards. It’s a shame that we can only play two point guards on FanDuel, as there are several supreme values at this position tonight.
Shabazz Napier is priced incorrectly on FanDuel. He should be in the 6k range but he somehow finds himself $600 cheaper than he was on Tuesday night when he started for the injured Damian Lillard. If Dame is OUT again on Wednesday, Napier is someone you basically have to plug and play because he represents so much value and is talented to the point where you can’t fade him at this price.
In his seven starts in the last nine games, he has scored 29-plus points including two games over 40 fantasy points. He’s dialed in and playing at a very high level. On DraftKings, he’s an easy fade at his $6,200 price tag and elevated ownership level. There are a few players I really like around his price point that will allow us to leverage this ownership situation. I’ll break those down in Slack for our members today in my afternoon and pre-lock time notes.
I’ll also break down a very sharp game stack with game theory for large field GPPs in my Notes. Again, you can find those daily in our VIP Member Slack where we have 57,000 Weekly Messages among our 2,000 members and 19-staff.
Gary Harris is a great value on DraftKings where he is only priced at $5,900. The Nuggets have an implied total of 112.0 points and the Atlanta Hawks have been rocked by opposing guards all season. Harris doesn’t have the highest usage rate (18.2%), nor does he have the highest FP/Min rate (.85). However, with the matchup and heavy minutes that he plays, Harris is a superb cash game option for Wednesday’s slate at a volatile position that we normally tend to not pay up at.
Avery Bradley was one of my best player picks in my last article on Monday. I mentioned how underpriced he was since returning from injury and that he had been playing 33-minutes per game and taking around 15-shots per game. Well, he exploded and absolutely smashed value. The ideal way to attack GPPs is to use guys before they break out when they are at a low ownership and our members who listened to me did exactly that. Fortunately for the public, Bradley is still under-priced for his current role and opportunity, specifically on FanDuel ($4,900). I suspect he will be extremely chalky in cash games and likely GPPs as well, due to the matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.
I love him for cash on both sites tonight, however, I prefer to fade people who are not extreme talents when their ownership will be at obscene levels in GPPs. On DraftKings, I think you can get away with using him tonight because there are so many point guards with multiple position eligibility that will get shoved into the shooting guard position. On FanDuel, he just represents so much value it will be hard to pass up for the crowd.
Donovan Mitchell is someone I want to pay up for on FanDuel in GPPs while the crowd is paying down for Avery Bradley. Mitchell has elite 50-point upside and at his low-7k price tag, if he were to hit that ceiling he could bring you GPP winning upside.
Four times in the last sixteen games he has scored 50’sh FanDuel points. That gives us a 25% chance that he will hit that elite ceiling. The Wizards have played pretty good defense this season and done well against opposing guards, however, the Jazz are a bit shorthanded on offense and Mitchell has been given the green light to shoot from wherever and whenever. His 25% usage rate and .99 FP/Min have steadily been increasing as the season has progressed and I don’t mind investing in him for large field GPPs.
Malcolm Brogdon has been pretty boring, fantasy wise, for the past month of basketball. However, at $5,000 on DraftKings, he provides us with an opportunity to grab the starting shooting guard on a team that is implied to score 114.0 points against the fast-paced and sloppy turnover prone, Orlando Magic. While he likely only will hit value, he is the type of play that due to his matchup has increased value and opportunity to outproduce his price.
These are not even remotely close to all my plays, nor will I give them all out to the public. Our members are the best in the world and I save the juice for them. I hope you join us by the end of this article. About 9,000 messages are sent every single day in the NBA Slack channel which means if you join early in the day you will get a ridiculous amount of information, discussion, research, and analytical nuggets to use for your roster builds.
Forwards
I believe people might go to Giannis against the Magic in cash games, but in GPPs I am looking to pay down for Jimmy Butler. I love Butler in all formats and all sites but favor him slightly on DraftKings where he is only priced at $8,700. He’s the ideal play for our ladder system that we teach our members to use to maximize their nightly ROI by using a specific investment and contest structure.
If you want the rest of my forward plays, you’re going to have to join up and check out my updated “Slack Notes” that I will release an hour prior to lock. All three of our full-time NBA coaches release updates “Notes” based on the news cycle and ever-shifting NBA DFS landscape.
Centers
I can’t give away all the goodies for free.
