We’ve had nine different winners of $50,000 – $250,000 over the past several months, including another $50,000 winner this past Sunday on FanDuel!. Life is good for our members and we’ve seen a 100% growth in the company and upped our staff to 23 strong, handsome, and brilliant members (massive embellishment there). It’s been quite a ride and the beautiful thing is that we have another three months of the NBA season to consistently grow our bankroll until MLB is here. Slow and steady wins the race as far as bankroll goes and that will be important for today’s slate of games.
Let’s get to work!
Russell Westbrook is going to either be the key to winning the slate or the downfall for a lot of lineups. The Thunder are in a massive pace-up matchup and are implied to score 6.0 more points than their season-long average. Their 111.0 implied total is second to only the Golden State Warriors, who sit above the rest at a healthy 121.0 implied points.
Westy clearly is the premier cash game option of the night. Nobody on the slate has a ceiling that even comes remotely close to his and against a turnover prone team he has a monster ceiling of near 80-points.
This is one spot where I am not going to get cute, specifically in cash, and I will be locking him into 100% of all cash entries. I’ll gladly go down with the sinking ship if his 34.8% usage rate falls flat in this delightful matchup.
Kyrie Irving will likely carry a pretty healthy ownership rate because of his recent game log where he put up 57.9 FanDuel points against the Orlando Magic (more on them later). However, Kyrie has actually only cleared 40 FanDuel points twice in the last nine games. The Lakers do represent a nice matchup and pace-up spot, but it’s a mistake to pay down for him in cash rather then go up to Westbrook. In GPPs, it likely will be fine to get cute and fade Westy, especially at his mammoth price tag.
De’Aaron Fox is the guy I want to pay down for in cash and GPPs on Tuesday. His matchup with the aforementioned Magic is superb and he’s playing heavier minutes as the Kings are pushing the youth movement through Sacramento.
He has the best DVP matchup on the entire slate and over the last two weeks only Willie Cauley-Stein has played more minutes and carries a higher usage rate. In a pace-up game with a higher implied total than normal, Fox is a great play for both cash and GPPs on this smaller 5-game slate.
Jaylen Brown is a great way to leverage the elevated ownership of Kyrie Irving in GPPs. Brown not only has the third highest FP/Min rating (.82) at the shooting guard position, but he has a great matchup against a Lakers squad that allows 3.7 three pointers and 25.4 PPG to opposing SGs.
While the masses flock to Kyrie because of his game log and matchup, there is no reason to get too cute and play an off the wall choice. We simply just have to zig while the field zags.

Tim Hardaway Jr. is in a superb spot. Believe it or not, the Warriors are yielding 59.4 fantasy points to opposing wings over the last 10-games. That is the second worst rate in the NBA and it’s buoyed by the 35.7 real PPG they are giving up.
THJ has never met a shot he didn’t like and he’ll be used heavily to keep pace with the Warriors barrage of three pointers. He’s a fantastic GPP option and on a small slate I see no reason why he can’t be a cash game play at just $5,500 on FanDuel. His floor isn’t bad at all and his upside is ELITE at his current price.
I am on such a heater over the past four days I think it would be a disservice to our paying members to give away anything else. It’s a gorgeous smaller slate with fantastic cash and GPP options. Game theory will be huge on a slate like this.
