League of legend (LoL) is one of the biggest games being played at this time, and it’s eSports’ biggest sport currently offered. This guide is going to help you get involved and hopefully win at LoL on both of Draftkings and Alphadrafts (pricing information is focused on DK, but you will easily be able to gain information for AD).
Have you wondered how you can join the DFS Army? Well I have an easy enough solution for you. All you have to do is click right here to join.
Joining will get you some pretty cool things, but most importantly you will get access to our Slack chat and direct access to all of our pros (MLB/PGA/Nascar/NFL/NBA). Now you also get ALL sports for the same low price!
There is also a deal that gets you a free month of access if you join Draftkings and make your first deposit. Just follow that link to get all of the important information!
If you want to join Alphadraft and support everything I do here just follow the link by clicking – HERE – There is no current sign up bonus for Alphadraft, but that doesn’t mean I do not appreciate you for doing it.

I hope everyone enjoyed their first two days of LCS NA. I know I had a blast on Friday, where I put up a great lineup I took 5th in the free roll and 3rd out of 58 in a $1.00 single entry. I was very happy with my TSM/nV stacks. Which if you are part of the Army and in our slack chat you would have heard that that was how I was stacking all of my lineups. The only real bad thing that happened to start this weekend was I decided to trust GMB after his great 2nd match against nV. Sadly that was an error that I talked myself into even though I knew better. I honestly took GMB in flex over Reignover. Well lucky for me I still took 1 of my 3 mans, and was close to the 2nd. Reignover however would have put me into the cash line on the GPPs as well though. The lesson here, stick to your gut, and do not talk yourself out of a great play just because someone shiny shows up the match before.
I want to make sure that I put a note of warning out. I have not yet gotten all of the matches watched from today. Normally I am able to get them all in after work, but with the new BO3 and the fact that I had to work 3 hours later than normal I have only gotten the first game from each match. So if I am missing something that is probably why. Luckily I still have a good idea as to what is going on, and still have all of my stats to fall back on.
Notes for each team: (these are rough notes on the teams, but the player notes in Google Docs is the important information)
Envy (who is off) Looked really good, but Team Liquid looked very lost. Even in the first game when TL looked good and like they would be ready to go into victory mode, they let nV get back into the match by making just small errors. This reminds me of the TL from last split, who are massively skilled, but manage to not show up. The 2nd match, TL never looked like they were even there. With that said I do not really like any TL players going against Team SoloMid. That does not mean that they won’t score big, it just means you have to hope to get lucky and have the right TL show up. Now TSM was much the same last split, but in a BO3 I think TSM is the smart move, but there will be more of that in the player notes.
C9 showed us yesterday that they have the ability to put up BIG points. They did this against a team as solid as Immortals, which means if IMT is close to the same team this split as last split, we can count on C9 a good bit. Many of the spots that C9 struggle in last split have been switched. One thing I put in player notes, but want to make sure you see is Bunny was benched in the 2nd and 3rd game for Smoothie. Now I cannot find any news out there that talks about plans going forward, but I think if Bunny could be benched at any minute he will be a risky play on any site that does not give you the substitutes points.

Immortals looked really good, and has shown that they are able to get that 2nd win in a BO3 against a top team. While playing C9 or TSM it might be worth noting that IMT is not the same all in team that they were last split, but against a team like P1 I am not worried at all. The biggest struggle with IMT is getting their salaries to fit. If you cannot get anyone from a lane, make sure you get Adrian in your support or even your flex spot. He is able to score points like an ADC, but gives you a damn low price for that skill.
Echo Fox looked solid, and I am excited to see how they do with their whole team as they go this split. I am not yet ready to place them on the top of the standings, but I am excited to target them anytime they are favorited to win. C9 is not the time to target them, Keith and Froggen are still great players, but I like them better in games they win. If eVagas isn’t willing to back them, then neither am I, at least this time.
CLG should have won on Friday if we went by the odds, but they struggled much like I thought they were going to. I do not think that CLG is a bad team, but they are not a great team for fantasy. I feel they are never worth buying because even when they pull off the big win, they tend to do it without scoring many points. This can be different for each player so make sure you check the player notes before a complete fade.
Phoenix1 sadly is just a fade. I am sure they will pull things together and grow, but I do not think I will be using them anytime soon.
Team SoloMid was famous last split for phoning it in, and losing matches off of small errors or a big error. The nice thing about BO3 is we get more chances to get things done right. I really hope TSM leads the pack (or maybe 2nd to team nV) and I think they will be much better for us in fantasy this split as well.
