ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL…well you have quite a few more months before that happens. If you still need that DFS fix however I got you covered. League of Legends is back for its 2nd slate this weekend with a slate full of DFS goodness. Sure it isn’t football, but this one actually has some killing in it so maybe it still has something to offer. Killing and winning money, how does life get better?
Starting us off will be CLG playing RNG. This one is expected to be a very one sided match. CLG is facing a team on the bottom who hasn’t won since the first week of the season. The odds makers at eVegas also see this as being a 1 sided match. The money line favors CLG 1.187 to RNG’s 4.859.

It is also important to remember that RNG is the best team to target when it comes to giving away fantasy points at every position. There should be more than a few points to go around tomorrow, and CLG is probably the least risky team selection you can make. Things for RNG however are not nearly as good as CLG is in the bottom 3 for points given to all positions. Freeze is by far the best player on RNG, but with CLG giving up so few points I would not suggest using him unless you have too. He is possibly the best long shot play, because if RNG does anything it will probably be done through Freeze. Risky GPP, maybe even a play that is so crazy it makes you go insane, but still a play.
Our second matchup is going to give us another chance for fantasy goodness. TSM is 7-4 and Dig is 3-8 with the money line giving an obvious favor to TSM. 1.263 to 3.9 is the lines given to us from Pinnacle, and I see no reason to go against them odds.

DIG is a team who gives up points to a few positions. Jungle is 3rd best and Mid is 4th best points given to opponents. For the most part all other positions are in the top half. Dig may not be the strongest team, but they are not the best team to focus on for fantasy either. With that said TSM is a solid team, who can make points from bad match ups and all players can be played. The luck for us is that Dig makes for a wonderful team to target for value because TSM does give up points. The second best team to target for fantasy points is TSM, at least that is what the numbers say. I just personally do not like to take teams who are expected to lose for cash. If an upset happens however it would not be a complete shock, even if a big one. Either way DIG could get points tomorrow and makes for a solid GPP play, unless I marked them red. The reason I do not like billy or Kirei is they do not get involved in kills, and if anyone from Dig is going to make good points they are going to need be involved. KiWiKiD is a risky play because support players only tend to get big points when their team is dominating. If Dig pulls off the upset he should be good for points. Apollo is also a risky play because he has a 65% kill participation, which is high for Dig, but low overall. Again if Dig has a big game, Apollo should be involved.
This is the match that I am most looking forward to watching. C9 started out the season as a strong control team, but they did not score a lot of big numbers. The last few weeks however have seen C9 control, and kill. It has been a nice change and I think it is time to jump on this new trend. Another trend that has stimmed from C9 getting involved in more battles is they are now also giving up more kills and points. This match has C9 as the favorite going in, but it is a close game. Not quite a coin flip, but close enough for DFS points purposes. (C9 – 1.467 NRG – 2.73)

Because C9 has not been the same team the last few weeks means I am going to ignore their season long trend numbers, and just base this off the eye test. The only reason you will see so much orange on the NRG side is because they have been struggling quite a bit the last few weeks. I do think they can make for a fantastic under owned GPP type play. If they go off that is. This is why they are more of a GPP play, and GBM is the closest to safe for cash I would go. Still he is a stretch and a cheap punt option.
Just to give fair warning, I need Froggen to go off tomorrow, so I am hoping he goes so big that they name a new hero after him tomorrow. With that said I really do like this match. We have TIP who has been a very beatable team facing a FOX team who has been on FIRE since their roster became whole. The biggest issue with all of that fire is their price tags are starting to climb a little. The odds makers have Fox as the favorite, in another close odds game. I am going to focus most of my LUs heavy on Fox players.

TIP is not a team you would want to focus on if we use their numbers given to us. However that has a lot to do with the fact that TIP’s matches have not been a challenge for their opponents. I do not see FOX having such a smooth game, so there should be a nice and long game for lots of kills. One thing to remember is on DK playing Fox will most likely remove your chance at the point bonus for quick win, but will give us more chance for dragons, turrets, and maybe a baron even.
Fox’s gives points to jungle and mid well according to their season long numbers, but remember that includes the numbers from before these last few strong weeks. I do like mash because Mash should be involved in any kills Fox gives up.
Wow that’s a lot of green. It’s IMT, and honestly they are always green…even if they did almost drop their match today against Dig. Immortals are the favorite to win here, and I do think that they will have no issue winning again. There is however a reason TL is in orange.

IMT almost lost their match against DIG. I would say that has more to do with the fact that they just played down to their competition than anything else. It could also be that they are lacking a little focus. If that is truly the case TL will have a great chance to go off. Piglet is the most solid play on the team, but remember their last match was very one sided. TL is completely solid GPP risk play.
