The focus of this article is to sort through the myriad of options on larger slates and find not only some solid foundational plays but also some spots that could go overlooked. We focus on stacks that are solid for small-field and SE as well as overlooked spots for large-field GPPs, and we discuss players that have good past history vs. the pitchers they’re facing. FIVE DFS MLB Stacks
Los Ángeles Dodgers
One more game in Coors for the Dodgers; they’ve actually lost two of the three there so far this series, but that’s not a reason to not consider them tonight. Jose Quintana has allowed five earned runs in eight innings through two starts, so there’s no reason to shy away from attacking him on this eight-gamer. Andy Pages is actually their best hitter at the moment, so start with him and add in good amounts of Shohei Ohtani and Max Muncy.

Atlanta Braves
Atlanta’s offense continues to be one of the league’s best (fourth most runs and second-highest team OPS), and this is a spot where I can see that continuing. Jake Irvin doesn’t look to have the command he wants quite yet (a 6.16 ERA and 1.47 WHIP over four starts). This could be a spot to get some leverage on the chalky Dodgers. Start your stacks with Matt Olson and Austin Riley.
Los Ángeles Angels
This is a big-time tournament-only stack given their upside (fifth most runs scored and second most HR in the league) and the matchup (they’re facing Dylan Cease, who strikes out a ton of batters and who could easily mow down double-digit Angels in this one). Still, in your large-field MME, this is the kind of call that could win you all of the things. It’s risky and volatile, but there’s solid ceiling potential. Mike Trout and Jorge Soler are your starting points; Jo Adell and a sneaky Oswald Peraza are secondary pieces.

Chicago Cubs
We know the Cubs’ offense has a lot of upside even though they’ve been very up and down so far this season; still, they’ve scored the second most runs in the league over the past two weeks. Aaron Nola looks a bit better through four starts than he did in 2026, but he’s not all the way to where we’d consider not stacking against him (a 4.04 ERA and 1.30 WHIP is gettable). Could be a nice option in your tournament builds. Ian Happ, Dansby Swanson, and Nico Hoerner are where I want the most exposure, and Moises Ballesteros has the HR pop you want; also, Carson Kelly is randomly hitting the ball well, so mix him in.
Kansas City Royals
If ever there was a time for the Royals’ offense to wake up, it could be tonight. Kyle Bradish has been very ineffective to start the season, pitching to a 5.49 ERA and 1.63 WHIP through four starts, making it out of the fifth inning just once). Low confidence and low floor, but they’re fairly affordable and have some decent upside. Bobby Witt Jr. only has eight RBI so far, but he does have eight stolen bases, so that raises his floor a bit; mix in some Maikel Garcia and Salvador Perez. Consider going over the field in your small stack section.
