Part the Cloud: A Deep Dive into Wide Receivers and Defensive Schemes for 2025 Week 13

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Let’s dig into the Week 13 board and hunt down some under-the-radar wide receivers who can win some reps.

🎞️ The Film Room

Before diving into this week’s gems, let’s take a quick look back at last week’s calls. For the second straight week… the film room feels a little tense.

Luther Burden

DK: 2.5x • FD: 1.6x
Three catches and a 15-yard run — not the result we were hoping for.

Roman Wilson

DK: 0.0x • FD: 0.0x
Two targets, zero receptions. Hard to draw meaningful conclusions from that.

Christian Watson

DK: 2.2x • FD: 1.2x
He led the team in targets (7), securing 5 catches for 49 yards. But with the Packers not asking Love to do much, the ceiling just wasn’t there.

👥 11 Personnel

Three-WR sets dominate today’s game, so let’s follow suit. Here are this week’s favorite low-owned options:

Jakobi Meyers

DK: $5,700 (2.85%) • FD: $6,100 (5.5%)

Jakobi Meyers has now been in Jacksonville for a few weeks and appears to be settling in well. Over his last three games, he has been excellent against Man coverage, producing nearly one full fantasy point per route run, while also generating 0.55 fantasy points per route run vs. two-high safety looks (thank you, Fantasy Points Data).

The Titans run a primarily single-high defensive structure, and Meyers has shown he can be dangerous there, too. The reintroduction of Brian Thomas into this offense should help Meyers’ overall efficiency, though it may slightly reduce his volume.

There is some risk of Meyers slipping in the target pecking order, but his willingness to work the middle of the field — an area Thomas has been more hesitant to attack — keeps him firmly in play as a sharp, low-owned option.

Tyrell Shavers

DK: $3,200 (0.32%) • FD: $4,300 (1.1%)

Shavers makes the list thanks to his role versus two-high looks and a dream matchup. The Bills desperately need a get-right spot, and Pittsburgh — giving up the most fantasy points per game to WRs — fits the bill.

Shavers has produced well vs. two-high coverage, trailing only the TEs in that area. If Kincaid plays, we can pivot off him. But when Kincaid has missed (3 games), Shavers’ target shares were:

  • 19.2%

  • 16.7%

  • 0%

If Kincaid is inactive, Shavers becomes a strong cheap-WR consideration.

John Metchie

DK: $3,800 (8.14%) • FD: $5,700 (2.56%)

Metchie has quietly become the most reliable pass catcher on his team, earning a 25% target share last week. Atlanta is softer against the run, but the Jets will need to show some life through the air.

Over the last three weeks, he’s averaging:

  • 1.01 fantasy points per route run vs. two-high (shoutout Fantasy Points Data)

Tight ends are in a tough spot this week, making Metchie the clear option to attack Atlanta’s vulnerabilities. They move him around enough to keep him away from AJ Terrell at times, giving him room to operate. I think this is the week they fully embrace him as their WR1.

📌 Summary

These are my three favorite low-owned WR plays for Week 13.
