Part the Cloud: A Deep Dive into Wide Receivers and Defensive Schemes for 2025 Week 11

Welcome back to the Week 11 edition of “Part the Cloud”, where we continue our hunt for low-owned wide receiver plays. There’s always hidden value if you know where to look—and once again, this week brings plenty to uncover.

The Film Room — Last Week’s Picks

Rome Odunze

DK: 3.4x · FD: 2.3x
After a goose egg the week prior, Odunze bounced back as the focal point of the offense, hauling in 6 receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown. A solid performance overall—though we wouldn’t have minded a bit more juice.

Garrett Wilson

DK: 0x · FD: 0x
An incomplete, through no real fault of his own. Wilson exited in the 3rd quarter with an injury after seeing only 3 targets. Realistically, he should have been more involved, but the Jets offense remains… difficult. Until they make a meaningful change at quarterback, this team is likely a stay-away.

Jameson Williams

DK: 5.5x · FD: 3.6x
The star of the week. With Dan Campbell taking over play-calling, J-Will exploded for 119 yards and a touchdown on 6 catches. He hasn’t been a major factor this season, but he stepped up exactly when we needed him.

11 Personnel

Three-wide sets dominate the league—so let’s roll out our own trio.

Ricky Pearsall

DK: $5400 (4.17% projected ownership)
FD: $5700 (8.04% projected ownership)

Healthy again, Pearsall returns to a great matchup. Arizona plays a high rate of zone, and Pearsall excels at beating zone looks. He’s easily their top option versus man and a very solid performer against 2-high Zones. Add in the return of the quarterback who elevated him to the team’s WR1, and Pearsall becomes a standout play at modest ownership.

Cooper Kupp

DK: $4100 (1.91%)
FD: $5300 (2.22%)

With the Rams stout against the run, Sam Darnold should be busy. Los Angeles is a tough pass defense overall, but they are vulnerable in single-high looks—exactly where Kupp thrives. On a per-route basis, he’s been nearly as productive as Jaxon Smith-Njigba versus man, and he ranks 2nd best vs. Cover 3 by a wide margin. He offers a fraction of the ownership and price of JSN, and arguably, an even better matchup. Plus, who doesn’t want to torch the team that let them go?

Hollywood Brown

DK: $4300 (0.6%)
FD: $5500 (0.74%)

Brown hasn’t made a big splash with the Chiefs, but he’s starting to heat up. Denver primarily plays single-high coverages, and over the last month, Brown has been their most dangerous weapon against man—thanks in part to his strong performance on crossing routes. The Broncos have been running Man about 30% of the time (a top 10% rate) over the last month, per Fantasy Points Data Suite. With the Broncos patchworking their secondary in Surtain’s absence, this is a prime spot for Hollywood at a bargain price.

Summary

These are my three favorite low-owned wide receiver plays for Week 11.
