NHL Building Blocks – April 23
All of the playoff series are now underway; let’s see who can go up 2-0 and who can tie things up. Let’s dive in!
The premise of each article in this series is to feature starting spots (building blocks) for your lines. These are plays that are cash-viable as well as GPP-worthy and can be considered in all contest formats.
Starting Lineup – April 23
The Goalie: Igor Shesterkin ($8400 DK / $8600 FD)
Looked great in G1, stopping 20 of 21 shots and giving the Rangers a strong start to the series.
The Center: Mark Scheifele ($5300 DK/ $6800 FD)
Goal and two assists in G1 (also two hits) and looked great.
The Wing: Kyle Connor ($6700 DK/ $8500 FD)
Two goals and an assist (five shots) in G1 and should have chances again.
The Defenseman: Cale Makar ($8200 DK / $8000 FD)
Goal and two helpers last game (also four shots and two blocks); will need to play just as strong to avoid going down 0-2.
The Value: Adam Lowry ($3100 DK / $4000 FD)
Two goals in G1 and the Avs’ defense isn’t terribly scary (especially given their goaltending).
The Stack: WPG1 (Scheifele-Connor-Vilardi)
The Jets exploded for seven goals in G1 (while giving up six) with four goals and eight assists (including Morrissey) coming from this grouping. The Avs’ defense isn’t inspiring even if they don’t give up that many again.
