UFC 286 DFS MMA cash picks and strategy for Edwards vs Usman on March 18th starts here! This time we have a 15-fight card taking place in London, England. There are several very close matches on this card which will make for some interesting choices in your tournament builds. But, that’s not what this article is about. My goal is to help navigate you through this interesting card and find some solid fighters to begin your cash game construction with.

It may not be the sexiest way to build your bankroll but, over time it can be the most consistent. MMA UFC Cash Game Basics for DFS
In cash games, unlike tournaments, we are trying to build a solid floor with our lineups. Many times that may mean using a fighter with great odds to win or taking someone who is severely mispriced. Cash games are often times card dependent. For example, if a fighter is expected to be chalky in cash games and I feel they are in a good spot I have no problem eating the chalk and just rostering him. After all, he’s chalky for a reason. One major difference between cash and tournament play is getting past your aversion to play the chalk. Often times, the chalk makes a lot of sense. DFS MMA UFC 286 Cash Core Plays
Muhammad Mokaev (-800) 9.7k
Muhammad finds himself the most expensive fighter on this slate. It’s hard to ignore the upside he offers in this fight. He is the biggest favorite on the slate and has a great wins Inside The Distance Prop of -145. As if that wasn’t enough, he has never scored less than 119.9 DraftKings points in any of his wins. No need to overthink here in your cash builds!! Make the smart play here and lock Mokaev in and move on. That’s exactly the route I am taking here.
Casey O’Neill (-175) 8.5k
Casey finds herself priced at only 8.5k and almost underpriced for the upside she carries. She has scored 109.7+ in all 4 of her UFC wins. That’s insane value for this price range. At this odds value she is on of the 1st fighter I am locking into my cash game builds period! I strongly suggest you do the same.
Justin Gaethje (+195) 7.4k
In order to fit the higher-priced favorites on this card you are going to have to punt with an underdog or 2 on this card. Justin is my favorite cash punts on the entire card because he allows us the luxury to get 2 9k fighters into your cash game builds. Plus this fight carries a -250 Fight Starts 2nd round prop. I see no reason he doesn’t reach 25-35 DraftKings points in this scenario when he lands at 7.46 Significant Strikes per minute. That’s all we need from him at this salary and by using Gaethje in your cash builds it allows more flexibility with the rest of your lineup construction. This is the route I am taking on this card and I think you should entertain the thought as well.
Sure, these are MY favorite cash game plays, but maybe you play GPPs or like others. That’s fine…..you need tools, though. MMA UFC Fight To Target In Hybrids/Tournaments
Now that we covered some cash plays. Let’s breakdown 1 fight I really think you should get exposure to in your hybrid and tournament lineups.
Omar Morales (-115) 8.2k vs Chris Duncan (-105) 8k
This fight carries a Fight Ends Inside Distance prop at -250. Both fighters have paths to putting up strong DFS scores and the winner of this fight has a strong chance to be in the optimal lineup, especially at their salaries being in the mid-range. I will personally have a good amount of exposure to this fight in tournaments (north of 60%). This fight will score well for DraftKings purposes. My preferred play is Morales. He is not only the slight favorite but, projected to be the lower owned fighter. Having said that get some exposure to Duncan as well. He is definitely live for a 1st Round KO and would more than likely be on the optimal lineup in this scenario. Regardless of how this fight goes I think you need to get heavy exposure to both sides. If you plan on playing multiple lineups in tournaments this is a great fight to target both sides of in my opinion.
