Every week we will be breaking down the top waiver wire adds for your season long fantasy football leagues. This article will highlight some of the key players to target in week 17 and the recommended Free Agent Auction Budget (FAAB) you should spend. This week we took a slightly different approach and are highlighting potential streaming options for the finals.

Top Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Targets
Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers 10-15% FAAB
Romeo Doubs demonstrated instant rapport with Aaron Rodgers to start the season. He averaged over 6 targets per game in his first 8 games as a pro. Doubs suffered the high ankle sprain in week 9 though which opened the door for fellow rookie Christian Watson to steal the second act. The Packers now enter week 17 with a juicy matchup against the Vikings who are a top 3 matchup for wide receivers.
Watson was ruled out of the week 16 contest with a hip injury which puts his status in question next week. The main beneficiary of the Watson injury will be Allen Lazard who saw 11 targets in week 16. Lazard is likely rostered in your league though, and is not available on most waiver wires. Romeo Doubs however is only rostered in about half of leagues which means he could still be available in your league. Doubs is a tempting flex play in your fantasy football championship.
Top Quarterback Waiver Wire Targets
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ERS 5% FAAB
Brock Purdy is quietly creating a quarterback controversy in San Francisco since becoming the starter. From a fantasy perspective, Purdy has demonstrated a solid floor and is also keeping his skill players fantasy relevant. In week 17, Purdy faces the Las Vegas Raiders. They are allowing the 7th most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Don’t let the last few weeks fool you. The Raiders are still the team that allowed the miraculous comeback by Baker Mayfield in week 14. Purdy should have a safe floor of 18-20 points this week with upside if he can find his skill players and allow them to work.
Top Team DST Waiver Wire Targets
Jacksonville Jaguars 5% FAAB
Steaming defenses can feel more like an art than a science in fantasy football. The Jaguars this week however are as straight forward as we could ask. On the season, the Jaguars rank #7 in DST scoring. The last three weeks they have put up double digit points and are looking hot. The Jaguars also have something to play for as they are currently in the driver’s seat to win the AFC South. In week 17, the Jaguars face the Houston Texans who are the third best matchup for team DST allowing 9.3 points per week. It would be very Jaguarian to squander this golden opportunity, but we are suggesting we lean into them for your fantasy football championship.
