Yahoo DFS NFL Strategy for Week 11 | Picks, Tips, and Podcast for Winning Lineups

Yahoo DFS is a slightly different format for DFS with softer player pricing. Learn the tips and tricks that make successful Yahoo DFS players big money every week.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb (88) eats Green Bay Packers safety Darnell Savage (26) for a touchdown during the third quarter of their game Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis. The Green Bay Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys 31-28 in overtime.

Yahoo! DFS Cash Game Players for Week 11

Every week in Yahoo! DFS we look to target high floor players to hit the cash line in 50/50s, Double ups, and head to heads. Let’s identify the best cash plays as we look to hit the cash line again and find ways to leverage ownership in tournaments like the Yahoo! Baller.

Quarterbacks

Justin Fields $42

Look, I love Fields everywhere this week but I’m still unsure if I would rather play him than Allen this week based on his price and ownership. He’s now priced above Allen, Hurts, and Lamar which just feels too rich for my blood. A big chunk of his points in the past two weeks have come on long rushing touchdowns and we can’t rely on that for his floor. He’s chalk on DK and yet only projected as 5% owned on Yahoo due to the price hike. His ceiling is still high, the matchup is great, and he’s coming in as low owned?  Yes, get lots of exposure to him in tournaments. If the Buffalo Snowpocalypse is actually coming, I’ll probably lean Fields in cash as well as I whine about the price.

Josh Allen $40

Top projection on the slate from a team total and 4 yards shy of the top passing projection. Weather threatens this game so I’m not sure I’ll go with Allen in Cash unless the snow fall projects to be gone or minimal by game time – assuming the game isn’t postponed off of the main slate.

Jalen Hurts $38

The Eagles got the loss out of the way, now it’s time to get back on track vs a poor Indy team that is 1-0 under Jeff Saturday but the Eagles are a much tougher opponent than Las Vegas was. Even in a down game, Hurts still threw for two touchdowns and ran one in. Hurts’ 22.58-point projection is the 2nd highest on the slate for Quarterbacks.

Running Backs

Saquon Barkley $33

Barkley gets the 31st ranked rushing defense this week after smashing the Texans last week for 150 yards and a touchdown. He projects as the top scoring back this week for DFS Army and is my favorite cash game Running Back.

Joe Mixon $28

Coming off of a 5-touchdown game before the bye week, Mixon proved he’s still a force as he scored 53 points and over 40 before halftime! I like the other Running Backs in the $20-$30 range this week in cash, but Mixon is cash viable averaging 21 touches per game. He’s always a solid tournament play with his roofless ceiling.

Josh Jacobs $24

The last time Jacobs went against Denver in week 6, he got 22 carries for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also added 31 yards through the air. He’s one of the Running back standouts at the Domination Station again, so he’s in my player pool and likely my cash game lineup this week. ‘Desus’, as Geek calls it, knows best. Obviously.

Jonathan Taylor $24

New interim coach Saturday decided we needed a heavy dose of JT last Sunday and was it really a surprise? The center who once yelled at Peyton manning to, “run the ball more”, did in fact get the run game going last week by giving JT 22 carries to the tune of 147 yards and a touchdown.  I think they’ll continue to feed JT and I like his price on Yahoo! with his upside.

Dameon Pierce $21

Pierce is the top fantasy points per dollar play this week and projected as the chalk yet again. He’s been a lock for double digit points since week 3 of the season; The ceiling is questionable as he gets a lot of touches for not having a single game over 25 points, but he’s a solid cash game play with his volume, floor, and $21 salary. I like him in Cash games but is likely a tournament fade for me.

Winning Lineups

Wide Receivers

Justin Jefferson $36

Jefferson had a 40% Target share last week which brings his total to 32% on the season. This projects as a competitive game environment between two offenses with plenty of firepower and I’m comfortable playing Jefferson as long as he gets in a full practice on Friday. If not, I’ll look elsewhere in cash games.

Stefon Diggs $35

Diggs has the top Wide Receiver projection on the slate but that doesn’t factor in the blizzard that is expected to hit Buffalo. The weather in buffalo calls for 3-6 feet of snow between Thursday and Sunday, so I’d monitor the weather before deciding to play $35 Diggs in cash games if the game expects to be a snowy, sloppy mess. Postponement is also a possibility with this game.

Tee Higgins $27

Higgins had a 26% target share last week as he’s seen a bump in targets without Chase in the offense. The Bengals passing offense projects very well this week according to the Statsational power rankings. I’m not sure I’ll get there in cash, but I like him in tournaments.

Ceedee Lamb $24

Lamb’s 32% target share on the season is elite and he scores touchdowns with Dak back in the lineup, (3 in the last 2 weeks) which is exactly what we need on Yahoo. I think he’s a bit underpriced on Yahoo relative to his usage and upside so he will be in my cash lineup this week on Yahoo!

Amon-Ra St. Brown $18

Amon-Ra St. Brown is crazy underpriced on Yahoo. With Hockenson gone, he saw a 31% target share last week and the Detroit passing game projects very well again this week vs the Giants. Not shockingly, he’s top 3 in fantasy points per dollar plays at DFS Army. Second this week to the next guy on my list…

Michael Pittman JR. $14

Pittman is Matt Ryan’s favorite target and with Ryan back in the offense last week, we saw it with a 32% target share for Pittman. He’s the top fantasy points per dollar Wide Receiver play at his dirt cheap $14 salary.

Kalif Raymond $10

At minimum pricing, Kalif Raymond is also one of the top Fantasy points per dollar plays this week if you’re looking to save a few extra dollars to jam the studs in. I think there’s enough value to avoid going here but if you pay up at tight end or Defense, you could use the salary savings here with Raymond.

Tight Ends

Cole Kmet $14

Fields and Kmet have been on fire. I love Kmet as the primary stacking piece with fields in tournaments but he’s really a play in all formats. $14 and a 42% target share last week with 4 touchdowns in 2 games.

Dalton Schultz $12

He’s averaged 7.5 targets the past two weeks and turned it into an average of 64 yards. He also got into the endzone last week and his price remains low, so we’ll go right back to him in a competitive game environment.

Foster Moreau $11

Good matchup this week vs a Broncos team that – despite their elite defense – gives up a lot of receptions and yards to tight ends. He’s only $11 and caught a touchdown last week with Waller on injured reserve and we rate up players on Yahoo! who get redzone opportunities.

Defenses

New Orleans $15

Top projected Defense on the slate going against a struggling Rams team that is now without Cooper Kupp for at least the next four games.

Washington $12

top Fantasy Points per Dollar Defensive play over at the Dom Station for a Washington team that just beat the 8-0 Eagles and now gets a poor Houston team.

Las Vegas $11

The Broncos offensive line has been a mess with all of the injuries – Wilson was running for his life last week and could be doing the same this week vs Las Vegas.

Top Yahoo! Stack of the Week

Justin Fields and Cole Kmet

Total Stacking Price: $56

Total Projected Points: 27.29

Total Projected Ownership: 5.73%

He’s chalk on DK and yet only projected as 5% owned on Yahoo due to the price hike. His ceiling is really high, the matchup is great, and he’s coming in as low owned?  Yes, get lots of exposure to Fields in tournaments. All of his stacking pieces are cheap and projected as low owned so you can attack this from several different ways – especially with cheap Atlanta bring backs.

Top Yahoo! Leverage Plays

Joe Burrow 5%

the game total is low, but Burrow checks a lot of boxes as a favored Quarterback with over 250 projected passing yards, a high ceiling, and low projected ownership. That’s exactly the kind of QB that I want exposure to.

Justin Fields 5%

The price is really high, but there’s an inverse relationship here between his salary and his ownership and I like it. All of his stacking options are cheap and projected as low owned as well so we can afford the $42 this week.

Cordarrelle Patterson 6%

The Bears’ defense has been really bad since they traded away their two best pass rushers and Patterson is explosive and made appearances in GPP winning builds over multiple seasons. I like him this week at sub 10% ownership.

Antonio Gibson 1%

Washington’s rushing offense has a great matchup this week vs the worst Run Defense in the league. The timeshare looks to keep people off of Gibson this week, but I’d rather embrace it and play both Gibson and Robinson in different lineups.

Darius Slayton 2%

When he’s healthy, he’s Daniel’s favorite target. Last week he commanded a 23% target share and I love the leverage play here at low ownership going against the porous Lions Defense.

Tee Higgins 1%

Higgins had a 26% target share last week as he’s seen a bump in targets without Chase in the offense. The Bengals passing offense projects very well this week according to the Statsational power rankings. I like him in tournaments at low ownership.

Tyler Boyd 1%

The Bengals passing offense projects very well this week according to the Statsational power rankings. I like Boyd in tournaments as well at low ownership – his target share has been just a smidge below Higgins’, and he comes at a $2 salary discount.
