DFS Army’s Gthom goes over the defenses to stream this week. The defenses to stream listed below are normally found in at least 40-percent of leagues (prior to waivers).
Another HUGE turnout for our article last week! We nailed down two elite D/ST’s picks: the Dolphins D/ST (finished 1st overall) and the Chiefs D/ST (finished T3 overall)! The article finished with a D/ST scoring average of 9.75 fantasy points, along with three top-10 finishes.

Seahawks D/ST @ Los Angeles Rams
Available in 81% of Sleeper Leagues
The Rams are an official dumpster fire. Whether there’s a backup quarterback starting, or Matthew Stafford, the Rams are fielding a team of pre-season contributors. That is something we want to attack in fantasy.
In the last three weeks the Rams have allowed 8-FPPG to opposing D/ST’s. On the season that number is a higher mark at 11.4-FPPG. The Seahawks have been efficient at grabbing takeaways. In 2022, Seattle’s defense has a turnover-percentage of 14.2, fourth best in the NFL.
Another reason to buy and hold the Seahawks: they face Carolina in Week 14.
Browns D/ST @ Houston Texans
Available in 93% of Sleeper Leagues
Right now it is start anyone-and-everyone against the Texans. In the last three weeks Houston has surrendered nine, 19, and 18 fantasy points to opposing D/ST’s, respectively. On the season they allow an average of 9.7-FPPG, third worse in the NFL.
The Browns also deploy X-Factor and game-wrecker, Myles Garrett. The edge defender can always disrupt any game if he gets hot. Facing a team like Houston, there is a chance he takes over.
Buccaneers D/ST vs New Orleans Saints
Available in 51% of Sleeper Leagues
While the Bucs’ D/ST has not been the consistent fantasy defense like we all expected, their Week 13 match-up is a chance to gain some confidence.
Since Week 7, the Saints are allowing the second most fantasy points per game to opposing D/ST’s with 9.3. Continuing with the aforementioned time frame, we have seen double-digit D/ST performances 66-percent of the time against the Saints.
The Bucs were able to dominate their first meeting with the Saints in Week 2. Tampa Bay’s D/ST finished with 21 fantasy points in that contest.
