Quarterbacks to Stream – Week 7 NFL Fantasy Football

DFS Army’s Gthom goes over the quarterbacks to stream this week. The quarterbacks to stream on this list are normally available in 40-percent of leagues.

Follow Gthom on the cesspool they call twitter, @GarettThomas.

Trevor Lawrence (JAC)

Available in 45% of ESPN Leagues
vs New York Giants

For the second week in a row, there is not much on the waiver wire at the quarterback position. Lawrence provides a streaming opportunity where he is favored to win, he’s at home, and facing off against a beatable team.

Up and down has been the fantasy reality of Lawrence in 2022. He has scored as many as 25.2 fantasy points in a single contest, but he also posted 6.7 fantasy points, at home, in Week 4. Last week he was able to post 25 fantasy points on the road against the Colts. It is hard to know what you will get from Lawrence on a week-to-week basis.

Facing the Giants is not an easy task for a fantasy quarterback but they do allow points to the position, especially on the road in 2022. The Giants’ defense has given up 14.7-FPPG to the position and on the road that average jumps to 20.5-FPPG. The highest quarterback finish was Tennessee’s Ryan Tannehill with 22 fantasy points in Week 1.

Hopefully Lawrence and the Jags come out ready to roll at home. Its a young team that is hard to trust however.

Matt Ryan (IND)

Available in 83% of ESPN Leagues
@Tennesee Titans

Of course we see Matty Ice go off for 29 fantasy points, no surprises there… right? While chasing last week could get you in trouble, Ryan does present a solid streaming opportunity in a tough-to-navigate Week 7.

The Colts will be facing off against the Titans and they are one-of-three teams that have allowed a top-15 quarterback in each week of 2022. On average they allow opposing quarterbacks to score 21.9-FPPG, fifth worse in the NFL. The defense in Tennessee has also allowed the second most touchdowns to quarterbacks with 12 so far.

On paper, this is a good situation but it has been hard to rely on Ryan. Mangers will need a clean game from Matt Ryan for him to blow his expectations away. Expect a mixed-bag from Ryan against Tennessee. Divisional games can get weird and Jonathan Taylor should be returning for Indy as well.

Jimmy Garoppolo (SF)

Available in 83% of ESPN Leagues
vs Kansas City Chiefs

Jimmy G returns to the streaming column once again in Week 7. Over the last two weeks Garoppolo has scored 18 and 18.9 fantasy points, respectively. While he is never the sexiest option on the waiver-wire he does consistently finish around 15 fantasy points each week, with a chance to break 20.

The defense against Garoppolo has not stopped quarterbacks this season. Kansas City has allowed an NFL leading 15 touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks in 2022. This has led to the Chiefs bleeding 22.1-FPPG to the quarterback position, third most in the NFL. They too are one-of-three defenses that have allowed a top-15 fantasy quarterback each week in 2022

This game is projected to be the best for fantasy purposes within this article. It has a game total of 48.5 points and a tight spread of -3 favoring the Kansas City side. Trail this game more-so-than Garoppolo and hopefully you can get enough from Jimmy G and the 49ers.
