Quarterbacks to Stream – Week 6 NFL Fantasy Football

DFS Army’s Gthom goes over the quarterbacks to stream this week. Most quarterbacks featured on this list are available in at least 40-percent of leagues.

Follow Gthom on the cesspool they call twitter, @GarettThomas.

Geno Smith (SEA) vs Arizona Cardinals

Available in 67% of ESPN Leagues

Smith has been lighting it up of late and no one saw it coming. He has been the QB7, QB2 and QB4 over the last three weeks respectively. The biggest surprise is that he leads the NFL with a 75.2-percent completion rate. Arizona is better than the teams Seattle has faced lately, but they still allow a modest 19.9-FPPG to opposing quarterbacks. There are not a ton of streaming options this week, but Smith should be good enough to keep fantasy managers happy in Week 6. If he continues at his current rate then he would be a clear add-and-hold for the rest of the season.

Jameis Winston (NO) vs Cincinnati Bengals

Available in 80% of ESPN Leagues

He has missed two straight weeks with an injury, and I am exhausted writing about Winston for a third consecutive streaming article (only for him not to play). If Winston plays, he is the second-best option on this list. He has attempted at least 34 passes in each game and finished as the QB7 overall in Week 1. If he is healthy, start him up against a Bengals defense that’s been tough on opposing quarterbacks. Keep in mind that Cincy has not faced much competition at the QB position. The only good QB they have faced (for the entirety of the game) is Lamar Jackson.

Carson Wentz (WAS) @ Chicago Bears

**Thursday Night Game**

Available in 52% of ESPN Leagues

Boy, oh boy… The magic of Carson Wentz. Will you get a 30-point game or an 8-pointer? Any week you start Wentz, you have to channel your best impression of Matt Damon’s “fortune favors the brave” commercial. While a 30-burger is likely out of the equation against Chicago, Wentz has overall QB finishes of QB3, QB5 and QB6 on the season. He has been a top-six quarterback in 60-percent of games and has yet to be shutdown by a bad defense. But enough stat-spinning, Wentz is not someone you should look highly upon in Week 5. Thursday night games are notoriously gross and this one does not disappoint with a 37.5 total for some sports books. Unfortunately there are not a lot of options this week with the BYE’s upon us. Proceed with caution, you should want to start Geno Smith and Jameis Winston (if healthy) over Wentz this week.

Jimmy Garoppolo (SF) @ Atlanta Falcons

Available in 89% of ESPN Leagues.

Any time Jimmy G creeps into the streaming article, it feel like a nasty week. Atlanta has not been good against opposing quarterbacks and they have allowed four top-10 QB finishes on the year. The biggest issues I have with Garoppolo is his lack of ceiling, which has never existed, and that the 49ers like to run the ball around the end zone. The 49ers are -5.5 favorites and their defense is stellar. Garappolo is my last option on this list but he is in play if you are desperate.
