Every week we will be breaking down the top waiver wire adds for your season long fantasy football leagues. This article will highlight some of the key players to target in week 2 and the recommended Free Agent Auction Budget (FAAB) you should spend. Check out the video to get a more detailed breakdown and a deeper list of players.
Running Back
James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars 20-25% FAAB
James Robinson is proving that an Achilles tear isn’t the career ending injury it once was. Robinson is our top running back waiver wire add on the week and should be rostered in all leagues. He had a near 50/50 snap share with Travis Etienne in week 1 but out touched him in the running game 11 to 4. The Jaguars will continue to operate a committee and Robinson will provide flex upside every week.
Jeff Wilson, San Francisco 49ers 15-25% FAAB
Elijah Mitchell suffered a knee injury during Sunday’s game and is expected to miss up to 8 weeks. Jeff Wilson is an experience veteran that has earned the trust of the coaching staff. We expect the backfield to devolve into a committee with Wilson leading the charge. He will likely split time with rookies Tyrion Davis-Price and Jordan Mason.

Wide Receiver
Jahan Dotson, Washington Commanders 15-20% FAAB
Jahan Dotson was a player we were high on all off season. He was going cheaper in fantasy drafts because he lacked the sizzle of the other first round wide receivers. Dotson showed great chemistry with his quarterback Carson Wentz though, and this translated into production in week 1. Dotson had an impressive 88% snap share, ran 40 routes and caught three of his five target which included 2 touchdowns.
Jarvis Landry, New Orleans Saints 10-15% FAAB
Jarvis Landry lead the Saints with 9 targets in week 1. He finished the day with 7 receptions for 114 yards. Landry has never been the flashiest player but he is a reliable wide receiver 3 in fantasy leagues because of the consistent targets. We would expect the rookie Chris Olave to eventually take over in this offense, but you can bank on Landry for a least the next month of the season to produce in fantasy.
