Every week we will be breaking down the top waiver wire adds for your season long fantasy football leagues. This article will highlight some of the key players to target in week 4 and the recommended Free Agent Auction Budget (FAAB) you should spend. Check out the video to get a more detailed breakdown and a deeper list of players.
Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Targets
Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers 5-% FAAB
After an electric preseason, Doubs did very little in his first two career NFL games. In week 3 he increased his snap share to 89% and hauled in all 8 of his targets for 73 yards and a touchdown. The Packers wide receiver core still has a ton of question marks and Doubs could be given the opportunity to make a real difference on our fantasy teams. Production may continue to be inconsistent but will improve if he gains Aaron Rodger’s trust.
Zay Jones, Jacksonville Jaguars 1-% FAAB
Don’t look now but the Jaguars are the number one team in the AFC South through three weeks. Their offence looks impressive and Zay Jones has been a big part of that. He is clearly the number two receiver behind Christian Kirk and will benefit with consistent targets. Jones is still a Jaguar though so production may be boom or bust. He is a safe, low cost waiver target this week.

Running Back Waiver Wire Targets
Jamaal Williams, Detroit Lions 20-30% FAAB
D’Andre Swift has re-injured the same shoulder that forced him to miss four games in the 2021 season. Williams filled in admirably against Minnesota carrying the ball 20 times and tallying 87 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Lions liked to deploy a committee when both Swift and Williams were healthy but Craig Reynolds will now operate as the 2 behind Williams. Reynolds is the definition of a replacement level back so we expect the Lions to lean on Williams until Swift returns after their bye in week 7.
Khalil Herbert, Chicago Bears 5-10% FAAB
David Montgomery is day to day following the knee and ankle injury against Houston this week. Herbert exploded when given the opportunity rushing for 157 yards on 20 carries and scoring twice. The Bears are inept at passing the ball but the run game is producing. We may not know Montgomery’s status before waivers run but Herbert is a strong add this week.
