Waiver Wire Adds Drops for Week 3 NFL Season Long Fantasy Football | DFS Army

Every week we will be breaking down the top waiver wire adds for your season long fantasy football leagues. This article will highlight some of the key players to target in week 3 and the recommended Free Agent Auction Budget (FAAB) you should spend. Check out the video to get a more detailed breakdown and a deeper list of players.

Running Back Waiver Wire Targets

Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins 5-7% FAAB

Raheem Mostert is definitively working in a committee along with Chase Edmonds. Mostert was the starting back in week two playing 55% of the Dolphins offensive snaps. While 11 snaps and 3 targets isn’t world changing, either Mostert or Edmonds could have solid RB 2 upside in the event of an injury to the other. Mostert is also a reasonable flex play in deeper leagues as the Dolphin offense will find itself in scoring position a lot in 2022. He is a cheap way to get a part of this offense.

Dontrell Hilliard, Tennessee Titans 1-3% FAAB

Dontrell Hilliard did not play in the Titan’s week 3 matchup against the Bills due to a hamstring injury. In week 1 though he worked as the pass-catching back earning 4 targets. Hilliard should be a cheap waiver wire add this week in PPR leagues as most fantasy managers will not pay him much attention having missed week 2. The Titans don’t look sharp to start the season and could be in catch-up mode a lot this year.

Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Targets

Greg Dortch, Arizona Cardinals 5-10% Waiver Wire FAAB

Greg Dortch is a solid WR2 through the first two weeks of the fantasy football season. He is playing in the place of injured teammate Rondale Moore but may not relinquish the position. Through two weeks he has gone 11/13, 118 yards and a touchdown. He is playing as the second option behind Marquise Brown as AJ Green is dust at this stage of his career. He likely won’t continue this production for the whole season but for the next few weeks, you can start him with confidence in your flex or as a WR3.

Michael Gallup, Dallas Cowboys 5-10% FAAB

The Cowboys are in desperate need for a second wide receiver option. Noah Brown has stepped in admirably but Gallup is a true WR2. Gallup is still available in 49% of leagues and needs to be picked up as he has a chance to play as early as next week. Get him before news breaks on his availability and it’s too late.
