Quarterbacks to Stream – Week 4 NFL Fantasy Football

DFS Army’s Gthom goes over the quarterbacks to stream this week. Most quarterbacks featured on this list are available in at least 40-percent of leagues.

Follow Gthom on the cesspool they call twitter, @GarettThomas.

James Winston (NO) vs MIN – Available in 71% of ESPN Leagues

Winston will be dropping back against a Vikings defense that has allowed 18.7-FPPG to the QB position through three weeks. Last season in 2021 the Vikings allowed 18.2-FPPG to opposing QBs, sixth-worst in the NFL. Defending the quarterback position is not something the Vikings normally do. Add in that Winston is at home and playing indoors, he should be able to get the streaming job done for your fantasy team.

Winston has yet hit his ceiling in a 2022 game. Playing against Minnesota could be an opportunity for him to achieve that. Kirk Cousins and the Vikings will have to be scoring points for a Winston ceiling game, and the Saints defense is stout at home.

Be sure to monitor Winston’s back and ankle injuries. It should not keep him out in Week 4 but if he is limited on game day pivot to another streaming option.

Marcus Mariota (ATL) vs CLE – Available in 75% of ESPN Leagues

Mariota has been a surprising fantasy relevant option for managers in 2022 and he is one of the quarterbacks to stream in Week 4. He has finished as the QB 10, 18 and 15 overall, respectively, through three weeks. His rushing ability also gives managers some additional support in the box score.

At home and indoors for Mariota, this game features the second highest game total by oddsmakers: 50. The Cleveland defense has struggled to defend the quarterback position too. So far in 2022 they have allowed 19, 26.9 and 15 fantasy points to opposing QBs.

The Falcons put up 26 points at home in Week 1 against the Saints, which is a tough defense. You should like Mariota and the Falcons to get at least three touchdowns against Cleveland. Streaming Mariota could easily net you two of these projected touchdowns.

Geno Smith (SEA) @ Detroit – Available in 93% of ESPN Leagues

Another surprise for fantasy has been Geno Smith’s finishes through three weeks. So far he has logged 17.2, 6.1 and 18.9 fantasy points, respectively. He was a top-15 QB in Week 1 and QB7 overall in Week 3. His worst game, Week 2 against the 49ers, was on the road which gives me some hesitancy towards Smith this week. Then I remembered that Smith will be playing a banged up Detroit Lions team.

Detroit has been putrid against opposing quarterbacks. They have allowed the third-most FPPG to the position in 2022, 23.9 FPPG, and they have allowed three consecutive top-12 QB performances. Last season in 2021 they allowed an average of 17.8 FPPG. Thus their 2021 woes have carried over into the 2022 season.

Oddsmakers are projecting this game to hit 50 points, the second highest in Week 4. Seattle is projected to score 22.75 points in this contest. Managers should look to get two touchdowns from Smith against Detroit.

Sleeper Quarterbacks to Stream:

  • Jared Goff (DET) vs SEA
  • Carson Wentz (WAS) @DAL
  • Matt Ryan (IND) vs TEN
