Defenses to Stream – Week 4 NFL Fantasy Football

DFS Army’s Gthom goes over the defenses to stream this week. The defenses to stream listed below are normally found in at least 40-percent of leagues.

Follow Gthom on the cesspool they call twitter, @GarettThomas.

Packers D/ST @ New England Patriots

Available in 60% of Sleeper Leagues

It’s straightforward with this pick. New England’s QB Mac Jones suffered an injury in Week 3, which will sideline him for multiple weeks. The backup QB situation is not ideal in New England, it is Brian Hoyer. The Packers-D has already logged seven sacks and three turnovers on the season. Green Bay should do enough to be a helpful steaming option in Week 4.

Cowboys D/ST vs Washington Commanders

Available in 45% of Sleeper Leagues

The Cowboys have displayed an elite pass rush through three weeks. Sacks are a great way to create a fantasy floor for your D/ST. Currently Dallas has the highest amount of sacks in the NFL. This becomes more polarizing with the Commanders coming into town, who have allowed the most sacks in the NFL with 15. Last week against Philly, Washington gave up nine sacks. Holy cow. Combine all of this with the Commanders coughing up five turnovers and we should see a solid game from Dallas. The Cowboys are 31st in takeaways, but I do see one-or-more coming in Week 4.

Eagles D/ST vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Available in 56% of Sleeper Leagues

Second in total sacks and top-10 in takeaways, the Eagles look like a solid option to utilize in Week 4. Through three weeks they are ranked as the fourth-best D/ST for fantasy football. They have scored double-digit fantasy points in two consecutive games and in Week 3, they were the best D/ST overall with 18-fantasy points. Jacksonville has been solid thus far into the year, but they will be trailing in this one which could easily force an interception or two from Trevor Lawrence.

Steelers D/ST vs New York Jets

Available in 58% of Sleeper Leagues

It has been a long fall from their Week 1 performance against Cincinnati, but in Week 4 the Steelers look like a team that could help you win your fantasy match up. Facing Joe Flacco or Zach Wilson, it doesn’t matter because both should be turnover prone. Flacco leads the league in turnovers through three games with six; Wilson logged 15 interceptions and fumbled five times (losing only one) in 2021. The Steelers have forced six turnovers and nine sacks thus far and that should increase on Sunday since the Jets have allowed nine sacks.
