UFC Vegas 59 DraftKings Stud Plays

Jamahal Hill $9000

Hill is-150 KO/TKO/DQ, fighting and experienced Thiago Santos. However, in this case, I don’t see experience adding up to much as Hill appears to be the REAL DEAL. 6 of Hill’s ten wins have ended in R1 because he runs through whoever is in front of him.

However, he did lose in R1 to Paul Craig, but I think he learned from his mistakes and will not allow himself to get in a situation like that again. To that note, at 9k, I will have a stud like Hill in a majority of my lineups, whether they are SE, MME,  or Cash. I think he is one of the best plays on the card, as an argument could be made that he is discounted in this spot as the favorite in a 5 round fight. I like Hill to go over 120 fantasy points in DraftKings regardless of how he gets to victory, but he will likely finish Santos at some point in the fight.

Vegas 59 DraftKings Move: Owned at least 80% of all lineups, Lock in Single Entry

Bryan Battle $8700

Bryan is in an excellent position to smash here, as he averages 35 Significant Strikes Per Round and sports five submission wins out of his 7. That said, he is +800 to get an R2 submission and +275 to get one at any point, which makes me like him to get some volume in R1 before getting a big finish in R2. At $8700, it is not like he is priced out of this world, so I think he is a stud at a value price. He is -260 on the M/L, which tells us the books have a decent amount of confidence in him getting it done here, and I will run with the books on this one. I like Battle as one of my top DraftKings plays.

Want to know how I found the stats listed above on Bryan Battle???

What if I told you it was all in one spot of your convenience? Cool, Right?! Hit the link below to check out the DFSARMY Research Station that gives us every stat we could need when building lineups for DraftKings.

Research Station

Vegas 59 DraftKings Move: 60-70% of Lineups. SE Lock

Michal Oleksiejczuk $9300

At -580 M/L, the books are telling us that Oleksiejczuk has a good chance of getting it done against Sam Alvey, who has lost seven fights in a row and should be fighting his last battle in the UFC. The under is set at 1.5 (+130), which makes me like the idea of the stud being able to get an early finish bonus against an Alvey who should have been out the door 4 fights ago. I know Alvey has the KO potential, but realistically, Oleksiejczuk makes quick work of him. The price on our stud here is elevated, but I think that could help us with ownership in Large Field GPP tournaments on DraftKings.

Therefore Oleksiejczuk will be in a fair amount of my lineups played this weekend.

Vegas 59 DraftKings Move: AT LEAST 5-10% above the projected field ownership. Great stack with Hill in SE tournaments

UFC Vegas 59 DraftKings Sleeper Plays

Augusto Sakai $7400

Sakai is a +200 dog fighting a 14-3 Sergey Spivak, who averages over 100 fantasy points in his wins. However, I think Sakai is a sneaky underdog play who could pay well in DraftKings. I love dogs with finish potential; this can help them exceed 10x when all the points are added up after the upset. Sakai is +500 KO/TKO/DQ and +1100 to do it in R1, +1400 R2. The under 2.5 is -185, which tells us that a finish could happen. Sakai has lost three straight, but I think he can bounce back here against Spivac as Sakai’s losses include Rozenstruik and Tuivasa, who are good fighters.

I think the price is right, and the ownership will be suppressed= Great Large Field GPP Sleeper pick!!!

Vegas 59 DraftKings Move: Elevate ownership above the field by 5-10%. Invest with caution in Single Entries.

Miranda Granger $7100

Paying close attention to the lines, I like Granger, but I wouldn’t say I will go crazy with investing in her, mainly due to the -300 tag on the over 2.5 rounds. I say this because I think Granger will need a finish to score well in this spot as her volume striking and TD-wise is not very appealing. However, with 6 out of 7 wins being by finish, she could be sneaky to get a finish here. Therefore, I want to ensure I have a little bit of her across my lineups as I think she could end up optimal with a finish victory here. Finally, she is fighting a McKenna who has never been finished, but I don’t believe McKenna has found someone with finish potential like Granger yet.

To that note, I will have some Granger and will likely fade the $9100 McKenna with Limited scoring potential.

Vegas 59 DraftKings Move: Granger at least 5% above field ownership.
