Choi ($9,100) Vs. Culibao ($7,100)

This will be the fight I fade as I think Choi will win, but I don’t think he will score well enough to hit the nuts at this price. Choi averages 92.3 ftpts over his last three wins, which I do not feel will outscore some of the other high-priced fighters on this card.

Therefore, the turd of the week will be Choi Vs. Culibao, resulting in a complete fight fade.

Four Fights To Target:

Teixeira ($7,300)Vs. Prochazka ($8,900)

Vegas Odds: Teixeira (+170), Prochazka (-200)

This one will most likely end before or during the 3rd round as both fighters come in with their most likely forms of victory in the form of a finish. Prochazka is a rising talent in the division that brings excitement to the ring as he is explosive and is not afraid to come in hot. Also, after watching the last fight, Reyes landed some shots, specifically leg kicks, before Prochazka finished him with a back spinning elbow to land the finish at the end of round two.

To the note of that spinning elbow, I think that highlights how this guy can be quite the wild man. Therefore I love the value of Teixeira in this one. He has the experience, and if he can capitalize on the youth of Prochazka getting him to the mat, he could land a submission here. Furthermore, Prochazka was submitted in 2020 by Abdul-Kerim Edilov, which tells us it is possible in this one as Teixeira is firm in his submission game supported by the +330 submission line. Therefore, I will go with the value that I think is there with Glover and his experience with a younger Prochazka. I am going in on this fight 100% and will have 60% Glover Teixeira to 40% Prochazka.

Pick: Teixeira $7,300

Bontorin ($7,000) Vs. Kape ($9,200)
Vegas Odds: Bontorin (+180), Kape (-220)

I thought Cody Saftic made a good point on his podcast this week when he noted that Bontorin is quite large for his weight class. If he wins this fight, he will likely have accumulated some takedowns as he comes in with a TD/R of 1.0. However, the likely outcome will be Kape getting a KO to win early or late as he comes in with +130 to win by KO/TKO/DQ.

Pick: Kape $9,200

HoKang($7,900) Vs. Danaa ($8,300)
Vegas Odds: Kang (+130), Danaa(-150)

Before his loss to Gutierrez, Danaa had one three straight by first-round KO. Hokang, on the other side, will win this fight by making it dicey and landing a decision. Specifically, Kang has seven takedowns in his last three wins.

Therefore, I like how this will score regardless of the winner, but I like the favorite to bounce back here and get a finish (+180 KO/TKO/DQ) but will ensure I have plenty of the dog as well across multiple entries.

Pick: Danaa $8,300

Na ($7,600) Vs. Juarez ($8,600)
Vegas Odds: Na (+130), Juarez (-150)

I like Geek’s take on this one as he refers to it as a core play, and I think he explains it better than I can:

The Ends Inside the Distance odds for this one sitting at -260. Liang fights at a hectic pace. Her style leads to fights ending inside the distance. SGJ swings fantastic bombs and has been submitted. Neither of these fighters belongs anywhere near the UFC. I’m loading up on both sides of this fight in GPP. Forced to choose a winner, I’m going Na. SGJ has been submitted in the past, and that’s Na’s best path to a win.

I am splitting my ownership on these two 50/50.
