Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Mike aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Minnesota Timberwolves @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 214.0

Vegas Spread: Min -3.0

We’ll kick this short slate off with the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns has been in good form and has played a lot of minutes lately. He has at least 45 DraftKings in four straight games and is a guy I like quite a bit here. Anthony Edwards had a rough game last time out but he and D’Angelo Russell look like really solid options on a short slate. Jarred Vanderbilt is more of a tournament option due to the inconsistency in his production. Patrick Beverley has been a lot more consistent than we’ve seen in past years and comes into this game with a 15.7% usage rate and 1.00 fantasy points per minute on the season. Then we can round this team out with deeper options like Malik Beasley, Jaylen Nowell, Jaden McDaniels, and Naz Reid due to the size of the slate. From the Knicks, Kemba Walker hasn’t been available since the end of December, so I’m going to operate under the assumption that he’s out again here. With Kemba out we’ve seen RJ Barrett and Alec Burks show some more consistency as of late. Barrett has at least 43 DraftKings points in three of his last four games and playing a ton of minutes. Burks did have a down game last time out, but assuming Kemba misses this game again I have no problem going right back to him here. I do like this spot quite a bit for Julius Randle, the Wolves haven’t stopped any big men this season. He looks like one of the better spend-up options on a short slate. The same can be said for Mitchell Robinson, he’s been playing more consistent minutes as of late and dropped 43.5 DraftKings points on the Wolves earlier this season. Then we can round this team out with Evan Fournier and Immanuel Quickley as tournament options.

5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, D’Angelo Russell, RJ Barrett, Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson

4-star play: Patrick Beverley, Jarred Vanderbilt, Alec Burks

Deeper Value: Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid

GPP Sleeper: Malik Beasley, Jaylen Nowell, Jaden McDaniels, Naz Reid, Evan Fournier, Immanuel Quickley

Detroit Pistons @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total: 216.0

Vegas Spread: GSW -14.5

Starting with the Pistons, Cade Cunningham has been a bit more volatile than I’ve loved to see as of late, but he did drop 46 DraftKings points on the Warriors earlier this season and on a short slate will be a guy I’ll have a good amount of interest in. Generally, I would be off of Hamidou Diallo and Saddiq Bey now that this team is back to pretty much full health, but due to the size of the slate, they’re firmly in play in all formats. Cory Joseph has at least 25 minutes in three straight games and assuming Frank Jackson is out again, this should continue again tonight and looks like a solid mid-range option. The minutes on Trey Lyles have fallen off a bit, but he’s still produced at least 28 DraftKings points in four of his last five games and looks like a decent tournament option here especially if the Warriors force them to go small. Isaiah Stewart’s playing time has been all over the place as well which will make him more of a GPP guy as well, if he’s able to keep up with these Golden State small-ball lineups he should be able to crush down low, but again, a bit riskier. From the Warriors, it sounds like Steph Curry will return here and will look like one of the better spend-up options on the slate even coming in with bad form. He’s been held under 32 DraftKings points in back-to-back games but both were mostly due to being in blowout game scripts, so I don’t have any issue going right back to him here. We should see Jordan Poole go back to the bench with Klay Thompson also back. Thompson got his minutes up to 23 last time out, so I would expect he’s around the 25 range again here and looks like a decent mid-range option. Andrew Wiggins and Poole will be more of GPP options with these two back in the lineup. Otto Porter Jr. has at least 36 fantasy points in back-to-back games and should continue to see solid minutes with Draymond Green on the shelf again. Kevon Looney and Jonathan Kuminga are probably the last pieces I would consider for cash games due to the form they’ve been in, but guys like Nemanja Bjelica and Gary Payton are fine flyers on a short slate.

5-star play: Cade Cunningham, Steph Curry

4-star play: Hamidou Diallo, Saddiq Bey, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney, Otto Porter Jr., Jonathan Kuminga

Deeper Value: Nemanja Bjelica

GPP Sleeper: Cory Joseph, Isaiah Stewart, Trey Lyles, Jonathan Kuminga, Nemanja Bjelica, Gary Payton

I wanted to give a quick shoutout to VIP member “GhostfaceKillaa” on his $30k win earlier in the season. A pivot to Curry off the chalky Doncic was the key for him, congrats man!
