DFS NBA Full Court Press: FanDuel & DraftKings Main Slate, November 2nd

11/2 NBA DFS Full Court Press

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Steve aka @Mutt18 on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. We also have NEW pricing options, where you can sign up for WEEKLY access as opposed to be committed for a full month, so you have no excuse to try us out! With that said, let’s get it started!

Milwaukee Bucks @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

From Milwaukee, Brook Lopez has already been ruled out here, and Jrue Holiday is a GTD, but he’s missed the past 2 weeks so I’m going to write this as if he is going to be out again. Bobby Portis’s role will increase here, as Khris Middleton has also already been ruled out due to Covid protocols and Jordan Nwora can’t possibly do any worse than he did last game. Keep an eye on Breaking News Feed for updates, as we may see him get the start at the five with Lopez out, I would have a ton of interest in him in that scenario (I may anyway based on this price tag). With Jrue Holiday, Donte DiVincenzo and Brook Lopez off the court last season, below are how the Bucks operated:

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo – 34.7% usage rate; 1.91 fantasy points per minute
  • Pat Connaughton – 14.6% usage rate; 0.81 fantasy points per minute
  • Bobby Portis – 21.8% usage rate; 1.23 fantasy points per minute
  • Jordan Nwora – 29.3% usage rate; 1.29 fantasy points per minute

They obviously didn’t have guys like George Hill and Grayson Allen last season which will impact these numbers a little bit but gives you an idea of what to expect from them. I love the matchup against the Pistons who haven’t really stopped anybody but are good enough to hang in this game.

Now for the Pistons, they’re pretty much just as terrible as they were last year, but Cade Cunningham may be back here after resting last game, but I’d expect him to be limited again here as well. Jerami Grant led the team with a 29% usage rate last season and will likely continue that and he has the highest upside of anyone on the team. Isaiah Stewart hasn’t been getting the PT I’ve expected this season, as the Pistons seem intent on playing Kelly Olynyk over him even though you’d think they’d want to develop a talented young big, GPP only for both him and Olynyk. Saddiq Bey but he is a guy who is streaky, if he is shooting well from 3 he can light it up at low ownership but his price is less than desirable on both sites.

5-star play: Giannis Antetokounmpo

4-star play: Jordan Nwora, Bobby Portis, Jerami Grant

Deeper Value: Cade Cunningham, Isaiah Stewart, Kelly Olynyk, Saddiq Bey

GPP Sleeper: George Hill, Grayson Allen

Miami Heat @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

From the Heat, Jimmy Butler has been on a tear and gets another good matchup in this one, even facing Dorian Finney-Smith, he contributes in all categories so you don’t have to rely on scoring there. Tyler Herro is gonna be in limbo again it looks like this year, because if Lowry is in then he’s going to really limit his ceiling, he is still in play for GPPs though. This leads me to Kyle Lowry, he’s more of a floor manager on this team, I’ll make him prove me wrong, which he hasn’t yet before I go back to him, he won’t get the same usage he did with the Raptors last year but he’s a safer option but with a lower ceiling. Bam Adebayo is a GTD again here as well, and he missed last game. If he were to miss again then I’d be all over Dewayne Dedmon an elite value option, he was on pace to crush last game before getting into foul trouble and only seeing 15 minutes.

From the Mavs, we will need to keep an eye on the Breaking News Feed with Kristaps Porzingis coming into this one as questionable. He’s missed their last couple of games, so for now I’m just going to operate under the assumption that he’s out again here, which is probably best for all parties involved from a DFS perspective. Maxi Kleber has also been ruled out here, so the Mavs are gonna be pretty thin in their front court which should open up more options for Dorian Finney-Smith and Dwight Powell as well. With Kristaps off the court this season, Luka Doncic has a 36.5% usage rate and 1.54 fantasy points per game, he would be a guy I go right back to even after a bad past couple of games. Then the last two pieces I’ll have interest in from the Mavs are Tim Hardaway for tournaments and Jalen Brunson continues to produce at a nice price tag for cash games. Brunson has been rock solid here this year and they aren’t raising his price on either site for whatever reason.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler, Luka Doncic

4-star play: Kyle Lowry, Jalen Brunson, Bam Adebayo

Deeper Value: Tyler Herro, Dorian Finney-Smith, Dwight Powell

GPP Sleeper: Dewayne Dedmon

Sacramento Kings @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox hasn’t started the season all that great but that’s due to the insane amount of guards that this Kings team uses in their rotation. He’s gonna be a GPP only option from me going forward unless one of those guards gets hurt. Then we get to the group of Harrison Barnes, Buddy Hield, and Tyrese Haliburton who are all solid secondary options, but none are really exciting with this crowded Kings backcourt. Barnes is going to be your most consistent and has started the season really well but his price reflects that here. Then, Richaun Holmes owns this frontcourt right now with Marvin Bagley essentially being out of Sacramento in the near future. Holmes will have a definite size disadvantage here though going up against Rudy Gobert. If you’re looking for a cheap option on this team I would go down to rookie Davion Mitchell who has seen an increased role here, he is cheap and probably my favorite of the Sacramento guards from a value perspective.

For the Jazz, Mike Conley appears to be back and healthy as he is not on the injury report, but if he were to miss then I would have a ton of interest in both Jordan Clarkson and Joe Ingles to soak up more production, with Donovan Mitchell thrown in there as well, but if he is in then all of these guys are GPP darts at best as this Jazz team is not fantasy friendly. Rudy Gobert is another guy who has been really solid this year, he’s probably my favorite Jazz player tonight if you want exposure to this game. Then you can round this team out with GPP guys like Bojan Bogdanovic and Royce O’Neale who are both solid role guys who play good minutes but aren’t high usage.

5-star play: Rudy Gobert

4-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley, De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton, Richaun Holmes, Harrison Barnes

Deeper Value: Buddy Hield, Jordan Clarkson, Joe Ingles, Bojan Bogdanovic

GPP Sleeper: Royce O’Neale, Davion Mitchell

New Orleans Pelicans @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

From the Pelicans, Jonas Valanciunas have been front and center in this offense, and they’ll be relying on him heavily until Zion gets back. The price is way up on him but for good reason, he’s a solid play even at his new price on both sites. Devonte’ Graham continues to look good as well and in a solid matchup here, especially if Brandon Ingram is out again, but Graham is a GTD himself so that is something to keep an eye on as well. With Zion off the court last season, Brandon Ingram was the guy you wanted, he’s been consistent to start the season and gets a decent matchup here, but we’ll have to keep an eye on news here with him as he did miss last game. If Ingram is out again, then Nickeil Alexander-Walker is a guy I’ll go back to in this one as well, as he will probably jack up about 30 shots. If you’re looking to get really different, Herbert Jones has also been starting but not doing much, until Ingram was out last game, if he is out then I’ll have a few shares.

From the Suns, they’re generally not a team that is fantasy friendly, and tonight should be the case again as I won’t be heavy on them at all. Devin Booker will be a GPP guy for me, as he hasn’t really had any ceiling games yet, but that will likely be the case as long as CP3 is healthy and taking all those assists he used to have. Chris Paul has had a few games over 50 FPs this season and he is my preferred option of the two. DeAndre Ayton has been all over the place from a fantasy perspective as well, but he gets a good matchup here against JoVal and his slow feet on defense. Then you can round this team out with GPP darts in guys like Mikal Bridges and Jae Crowder if you really want to get frisky, of the two I would really only play Bridges as he has way more upside.

5-star play: Chris Paul, Jonas Valanciunas

4-star play: Devin Booker, Devonte’ Graham, Brandon Ingram, Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Deeper Value: Mikal Bridges, Herbert Jones

GPP Sleeper: Herbert Jones (if Ingram is out)

Houston Rockets @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Starting with the Rockets, Kevin Porter Jr. has been very up and down to start the year, but that is to be expected from a young guard. Christian Wood is going to be a solid play here as well, but the matchup leaves a bit to be desired going up against AD but he still has a high ceiling, that doesn’t come without risk of a floor, but on a short-slate, he’s firmly in play. Jalen Green is a guy I’ve been high on all season and has been a bit volatile, so probably more of a GPP guy, but in play nonetheless as he seems like a gamer who wants to show up when he is playing against other NBA stars. That really concludes my interest in the Rockets. Maybe some Alpherun Sengun if you think this games gets ugly as he’ll get some blowout run.

From the Lakers, LeBron James has been questionable for about the past week, but he played in their last game so I have a feeling that he will play in this one as well… however, if he were to sit, Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis would be the obvious beneficiaries. Westbrook probably isn’t a guy I’ll have much interest in if LeBron plays just because they haven’t shown the ability that they can each go off in a given game, and LeBron really is the main usage guy in this offense. When you play Westbrook you want that 80 point fantasy ceiling, when LeBron is in there, he doesn’t have it. LeBron being out would also open up some value in Carmelo Anthony and Malik Monk, but again, we’ll keep the VIP Members updated on that in our Discord chat and Breaking News Channel.

5-star play: LeBron James

4-star play: Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Porter, Christian Wood

Deeper Value: Malik Monk, Carmelo Anthony, Jalen Green

GPP Sleeper: Alpherun Sengun
