Welcome to a brand new NBA season. We have a lot of changes this year in terms of where players are however the one thing that never changes are the injuries that happen.
The purpose for this article is to give you an early morning look at the injuries on the upcoming slate and how those players could impact your player pool. The most important thing to remember with this article is that while there is a lot of information here you will want to become a VIP Member for the most update and current information as this article will not change. A quick reminder here as we roll into the new season with so many changes to rosters some of the usual information such as usage will be difficult to grab. However once we get more games under the belt, this information is going to get much cleaner.
Pacers VS Hornets – 07:00 PM
Pacers: Malcolm Brogdon is Probable. Justin Holiday and Jeremy Lamb are Questionable. Caris LeVert, Kelan Martin and TJ Warren are OUT!
Notes: Two big names currently listed as out with LeVert and Warren. Holiday and Lamb will be the news we are waiting on as they get impact the plays even further. Brogdon being probable is good as he should see a significant usage increase without LeVert at the two. The guys I want to target here tonight with this news:
- Malcom Brogdon
- Domantas Sabonis
- Torrey Craig
- TJ McConnell – especially if Holiday/Lamb are out.
- Oshae Brissett – probably a deep GPP play here as he is pretty deep on the depth chart.
Hornets: Miles Bridges and Terry Rozier are probable.
Notes: With no major news here as both of these guys are probable there isn’t much to note other than Graham and Monk are no longer on the team. A couple of additions this year were Mason Plumlee and Kelly Oubre Jr. Some of the players I am willing to target here are:
- LaMelo Ball
- Gordan Heyward
- Mason Plumlee
- Kelly Oubre Jr.
- P.J. Washington
Bulls VS Pistons – 07:00 PM
Bulls: Troy Brown JR. is Questionable. Colby White is OUT!
Notes: This team made a few great moves in the offseason with the addition of Lonzo Ball and DeRozan making this team competitive this year. It will be a challenge on guessing which of the starting 4 are going to go off but it could easily be 2 or 3 each night. Without Colby White we should see Alex Caruso get more run. Below are the guys I am looking at:
- Lonzo Ball
- Zach Lavine
- Nikola Vucevic
- Alex Caruso
Pistons: Cade Cunningham, Isaiah Livers and Chris Smith are OUT!
Notes: We don’t really know how these guys impact the team because they are all new to the team. That being said they were not starters on the depth chart so not much of an impact there however Cade being out should push Cory Joseph up a little. With the news and the adjustments to the team the below are the guys I will target.
- Killan Hayes
- Jerami Grant
- Hamidou Diallo
- Kelly Olynyk
Celtics VS Knicks – 07:30 PM
Celtics: Jaylen Brown Questionable. Al Horford is OUT!
Notes: Really need the news on Jaylen Brown to really drive my love for Tatum which is already relatively high however if he is out, I’m all in on Tatum. Horford coming out should push Enes Kanter up as the #2 behind Time Lord (Robert Williams). If Brown is out we should see Josh Richardson jump into the starting lineup. Here is the players I am targeting:
- Jayson Tatum – Love him currently and he will likely be a core of mine if Brown is out.
- Robert Williams
- Enes Kanter – really a deep GPP play
- Dennis Schroder – especially if Brown is out.
Knicks: Nerlens Noel is Doubtful. Luka Samanic is OUT!
Notes: Luka Samanic doesn’t impact anything really and without Nerlens Noel that pushes Taj Gibson as the #2 in theory so he does see an increase but other than that it’s relatively calm. Below are the guys you can target.
- Julius Randle
- Derrick Rose
- Mitchell Robinson
- Kemba Walker – will be curious to see what kind of role he takes with the team.
Wizards VS Raptors – 07:30 PM
Wizards: Thomas Bryant, Rui Hachimura and Cassius Winston are OUT!
Notes: The biggest news out of the three is Rui being out, this should push Kuzma into the starting line up. The team to bring in Spencer Dinwiddle and KCP during the offseason which we shall see how Dinwiddle comes out but there is some interest. Below are the guys I can see targeting from this game.

- Bradley Beal
- Daniel Gafford
Raptors: Chris Boucher is Questionable. Pascal Siakam and Yuta Watanabe are OUT!
Notes: It’ll be interesting without Lowry this year however it makes things interesting. We will see if Boucher is out but assuming he plays he is always a guy that sparks some interesting. Without Siakam I really expect Scottie Barnes to start and I love going with him. Here are the guys I want to target:
- Scottie Barnes – If he starts, he is core for me
- Fred VanVleet
- Khem Birch
Cavaliers VS Grizzlies – 08:00 PM
Cavaliers: Dean Wade and Dylan Windler are OUT!
Notes: These were deep bench guys so no real impact here. The team didn’t make a ton of changes so the guys I’ll target here are:
- Darius Garland
- Jarrett Allen
- Collin Sexton
- Evan Mobley
Grizzlies: Dillon Brooks are OUT!
Notes: Dillon Brooks being out should push Melton into the starting lineup. The biggest change was bringing in Steven Adams and moving JoVal to another team. Guys I want to target:
- De’Anthony Melton
- Ja Morant
- Jaren Jackson Jr.
- Brandon Clarke – a bench guy
Rockets VS Timberwolves – 08:00 PM
Rockets: Danuel House JR is Questionable. Garrison Matthews is OUT!
Notes: House is a deeper bench guy then he has been in the past so no real impact here. Not much to say otherwise so here are the guys I will target:
- Kevin Porter Jr.
- Jalen Green
- Christian Wood
- Alperen Segun – Should come off the bench behind Wood
Timberwolves: Jaylen Nowell and Jordan McLaughlin are Questionable. Patrick Beverly is OUT!
Notes: Deeper bench guys here which shouldn’t impact the rotation that much if they were to miss. If any of these two were going to be important it would be McLaughlin who if played would be behind Russell. Below are the guys that I am looking at in this game:
- D’Angelo Russell
- Anthony Edwards
- Malik Beasley
- Karl-Anthony Towns
76ers VS Pelicans – 08:00 PM
76ers: Shake Milton, Grant Riler and Ben Simmons is OUT!
Notes: The drama around Ben Simmons continues as he was issued a one game suspension yesterday and without Shake Milton we should see Maxey coming into the starting lineup. They’ll go Maxey or they will go Korkmaz then bring Maxey off the bench for the 2nd unit which is where I would have a little more interest. Here are the guys I want to target:
- Joel Embid
- Tyrese Maxey
- Furkan Korkmaz
- Tobias Harris
Pelicans: Zion Williamson is OUT
Notes: With Zion out, we will need to see who climbs into that starting lineup. I’m guessing it will likely be Naji Marshall or Jaxson Hayes. That’s a big loss with Zion however it opens to the door for Brandon Ingram and NAW to get some more shots up. It’s a tough matchup however could be a good one. Below are the guys I want here:
- Nickell Alexander-Walker (NAW)
- Brandon Ingram
I usually want to target some of the backup guys however I don’t feel good about their matchup enough to get to them.
Magic VS Spurs – 08:30 PM
Magic: Michael Carter-Williams, Markelle Fultz, Jonathan Isaac, E’Twaun Morgan and Chuma Okele is OUT!
Notes: It just rolls over as we look at the Magic injuries. They had a rough time last year with everyone that went down for an extensive time and unfortunately that has carried over to this year. Because of that below are the guys I want to target:
- Cole Anthony
- Jalen Suggs
- Wendall Carter JR
- Mo Bamba – should get the backup center minutes.
Spurs: Jock Landale is Questionable. Devontae Cacok and Zach Collins are OUT!
Notes: The team took one to the chin with losing DeRozan as that’s a big spot to fill. The guys that are out really have no impact on the team as they are super deep bench guys. That being said below are the guys I have no problem targeting.
- Dejounte Murray
- Lonnie Walker
- Keldon Johnson
- Derrick White
Thunder VS Jazz – 09:00 PM
Thunder: Nothing of note as of now.
Notes: No real news to report here and not in a great matchup but below are the guys I will target:
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
- Darius Bazley
- Josh Giddey
Jazz: Eric Paschall is Probable. Rudy Gay and Trent Forrest are OUT!
Notes: Without Gay, Paschall should jump into the 2nd unit which could provide a slight bump but not something I want to target. This is a hard game to predict because how close will it be? That being said below are my guys:
- Donavan Mitchell
- Jordan Clarkson
- Joe Ingles
- Rudy Gobert – he should be able to beat up this team
Nuggets VS Suns – 10:00 PM
Nuggets: Vlatko Cancar is Probable. Jamal Murray is OUT!
Notes: Biggest news here is Murray being out which will move Monte Morris into the starting role. That being said this is a boost to Porter JR and Nikola Jokic as that means more shuts to put up. Below are the guys I want to target:
- Monte Morris
- Michael Porter Jr
- Nikola Jokic
- Facundo Campazzo – should run the 2nd unit.
Suns: Dario Saric is OUT!
Notes: No major news here as Saric was deep into the rotation. The guys I’ll target are:
- Devin Booker
- Chris Paul
- Cameron Payne – saw him do big things last year with little run
- Mikal Bridges
Kings VS Trail Blazers – 10:00 PM
Kings: Nothing to note.
Notes: The only thing major to note here is that Bagley is upset with him not starting. No injuries so below are the guys I want to target:
- De’Aaron Fox
- Tyrese Haliburton
- Terence Davis
- Richaun Holmes
Trail Blazers: Tony Snell is OUT!
Notes: Tony Snell being out should push Larry Nance Jr into some more minutes but we will need to see how he fits in. After Nance it should lift up Nassir Little a little as well not much interest there. Below are the guys I want to target:
- Damian Lillard
- CJ McCollum
- Larry Nance Jr
- Jusuf Nurkic
