10/26 NBA DFS Full Court Press

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Steve aka @Mutt18 on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. We also have NEW pricing options, where you can sign up for WEEKLY access as opposed to be committed for a full month, so you have no excuse to try us out! With that said, let’s get it started!

Philadelphia 76ers @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: Ny -1.0

This game is predicted to be super close, but a lot of that hinges on the health of Embiid, if he is in I think the Sixers win easily, but crazier things have happened in the NBA. The big news will hinge on the health of Joel Embiid as he comes in with a Q tag again. If he is out, then this’ll be the Tobias Harris show as Simmons is out again as well, and I’ll have increased shares of Tyrese Maxey and Seth Curry as well as both have been playing north of 35 minutes. Andre Drummond is also a GTD here, so if him and Embiid are both out here then you can fire of Georges Niang as he’ll be one of the few big men that the Sixers have left and he did play 20 minutes off the bench last game with Drummond out. Furkan Korkmaz has also been solid off the bench if you are looking to get different.

For the Knicks, they look very legit so far this year, led by their All-Star Julius Randle. He is a premier play here today, but gets a tough matchup against Embiid inside, but if Embiid is out then I will love Randle. Evan Fournier has also been a great addition and R.J. Barrett is flat out solid like we’ve come to predict from him. Mitchell Robinson should also see solid minutes here as the Knicks still have a few injuries in their front court and he’s pretty cheap on both sites. If you’re looking for guys coming off the bench, Derrick Rose is one of the best in the business, and Obi Toppin has been showing why he was drafted early last year as well.

5-star play: Joel Embiid (if in), Tobias Harris, Julius Randle

4-star play: Evan Fournier, Tyrese Maxey, Seth Curry, Evan Fournier, R.J. Barrett

Deeper Value: Mitchell Robinson, Derrick Rose, Obi Toppin, Georges Niang

GPP Sleeper: Seth Curry, Georges Niang (if Embiid and Drummond out)

Golden State Warriors @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Vegas Total: 224

Vegas Spread: Gsw -9

The Warriors are getting healthy, as Stephen Curry is ready to go here to start the year, and with Klay Thompson out he should be in line for big time usage and he’s shown that over the first three games as he’s topped 50+ in each game so far this year. Draymond Green is also rock solid here, and contributes in all categories, so I prefer him more on FanDuel. James Wiseman will also be out to start the year, along with Jonathan Kuminga so Nemanja Bjelica and Kevon Looney will play the majority of those minutes to start. Otto Porter Jr. is a guy you can use to get different, as he is coming off the bench to start the year which does limit his upside a bit. Andrew Wiggins (who is never exciting to roster) and Curry will be the anchors in the front court. Jordan Poole is also going to have a big role here, but he hasn’t been great to start the year, but the break out game is coming and we saw glimpses of it last time out.

For the Thunder, they will be in flux this year as they are super young, so blowouts will happen frequently, but they’ll also put together good games at times as we saw last time out. The main target here will be Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as he’s been their best young player but hasn’t been living up to the hype so far this year, although he did look much better in their last game. Luguentz Dort is always exciting to roster in GPPs, as he could go for 10x or 1x value as consistency isn’t there yet. Darius Bazley is gonna be their main big man here as well and he’s pretty cheap on both sites. Josh Giddey is also going to be a stud and is cheap, but given the blowout issues here I don’t want to be targeting the Thunder a lot in this one, but Giddey did go nuclear for 47 FPs in their last game.

5-star play: Stephen Curry

4-star play: Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Darius Bazley

Deeper Value: Nemanja Bjelica, Otto Porter Jr., Luguentz Dort

GPP Sleeper: Josh Giddey

Houston Rockets @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: 220.5

Vegas Spread: Dal -11

For the Rockets, Christian Wood should feast again here, and he’s still decently priced after that 60 burger he put up the other night and Dallas is a bit soft inside. Kevin Porter Jr. is going to be my other main target from this team, and he’s still decently priced as well, but he’s been inconsistent so far, however we know the upside is there. Jalen Green has looked every bit the part of the #2 pick as well and he’s pretty cheap but I’d like to see his minutes get north of 30 as well, he went crazy in their last game, so I wouldn’t pair him with KPJ. Jae’Sean Tate has also been playing very well, he’ll be virtually unowned and Eric Gordon is the guy who leads their second unit if you’re looking to get different in GPPs.

For the Mavericks, this is a great matchup for Luka Doncic as he should be able to get whatever he wants here, and with the Rockets new young core they should be able to keep pace in this game I believe. Kristaps Porzingis is finally healthy, but we’ve all been on that rollercoaster ride too many times before, but his price is enticing on FanDuel. Jalen Brunson has also been playing some heavy minutes off the bench, he’s a solid value and could come into play here with the blowout factor. Dorian Finney-Smith is also never fun to roster, but he is cheap on both sites.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Christian Wood

4-star play: Jalen Green, Kristaps Porzingis, Kevin Porter Jr.

Deeper Value: Jalen Brunson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Eric Gordon, Jae’Sean Tate

GPP Sleeper: Eric Gordon, Jalen Brunson, Jalen Green

Los Angeles Lakers @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total: 220.5

Vegas Spread: Lal -4.5

For the Lakers, this will take a few games to shake out as they made a huge offseason acquisition in Russell Westbrook and he will soak up a ton of usage here and will take away from both LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but all 3 are still elite plays especially on a slate where I don’t see any of them being too highly owned. AD has looked really good so far this year and he’s my favorite of the big 3. The Lakers have also added Kendrick Nunn, DeAndre Jordan, and Carmelo Anthony who will also soak up usage, but I expect those guys to run with the 2nd unit, all 3 present decent value here on a smaller slate. Rajon Rondo and Dwight Howard have also returned, and both should see significant roles early on, and I do believe Howard will see solid minutes with this 2nd unit again here tonight. If you think this game blows out then the Laker bench will provide some much needed value here.

Now for the Spurs, my favorite play here is going to be Derrick White, as this Lakers frontcourt is not good defensively and FanDuel just refuses to raise his price despite great performances in each game. Dejounte Murray is also in a fine spot, but you have to pay up more for him here but he should be worth it. Keldon Johnson looks like he’s taken a nice step forward as well, but he can be a bit scoring dependent at times and he has a tougher matchup on his plate tonight with LeBron. Jakob Poeltl will also need to play big minutes here, as he’s really the only guy they have that can stop AD downlow, but he’s been prone to foul trouble so far this year, so if you want to get really deep you can take a shot on Drew Eubanks as well. Bryn Forbes has also been seeing some decent minutes and he could be a factor for value in this one as well.

5-star play: Derrick White

4-star play: Dejounte Murray, LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, Keldon Johnson, Jakob Poeltl

Deeper Value: Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Drew Eubanks

GPP Sleeper: Carmelo Anthony, Bryn Forbes

Denver Nuggets @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 219.5

Vegas Spread: Uth -7.0

Here we have the Nuggets on the 2nd half of a B2B, and Nikola Jokic is coming off a huge game and gets to face Gobert here who allows a lot more FPs than people realize, so he is someone I want shares of here. Michael Porter had a rough shooting night, and I fully believe the Nuggets were looking forward to this game when they lost to Cavs last night. Will Barton has been really solid as well, and should see some run with the 2nd unit. Aaron Gordon also seems more comfortable in his role here, and should do more offensively this year. If you’re looking to get really deep, Monte Morris has been starting but the usage is limited with Barton healthy.

Now for the Jazz, they are 2-0 on the year and come in healthy. They’ll be led by Donovan Mitchell who is a nightmare to figure out in GPPs, but this is one of those games where he could go nuclear on a small slate and in the hammer game. Rudy Gobert should also have to play big minutes here, as he’ll be the primary guy on Jokic, and he could feast on the glass. Mike Conley is also rock solid, and should be able to get whatever he wants from Monte Morris on the offensive side of the ball. Bojan Bogdanovic is also always in play for GPPs if he gets hot from 3, but with the Jazz fully healthy he’s not a guy I’m huge on. Jordan Clarkson is also always in play for GPPs with his ability to score off the bench, and he’s pretty cheap on both sites as well.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic

4-star play: Michael Porter, Will Barton, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley

Deeper Value: Jordan Clarkson, Bojan Bogdanovic, Monte Morris

GPP Sleeper: Jordan Clarkson, Aaron Gordon
