Daily fantasy players (with little experience) can profit quickly with just some basic information because very little is written about CFL inside the industry. CFL DFS Week Eight – Quick Glance
The data and insights going into our CFL Research Station provides an edge that other sites simply don’t have. A lot can happen in a week for Canadian fantasy football. I won’t be updating this article with any roster changes etc but will be providing updates in our Discord channels.
Hamilton @ Ottawa
UGLY is the only way to describe this game. We get David Watford vs Dominique Davis. Watford won his first career start last week, putting up 149 passing yards, 35 rushing yards and 9.5 Draftkings points. Watford and his receivers get a great matchup as Ottawa is allowing the most DraftKings points to qbs on the slate and over 312 passing yards per game. The Hamilton wr are cheap, just can’t be certain which one(s) will be “the guy(s)”.
For Ottawa, Davis has put up 333 and 291 passing yards over his last two games. He’s also tossed three picks and lost a fumble. Ryan Davis isn’t listed as a returner for this game, but I don’t mind him at his price, he’s averaging 6.8 targets a game. Timothy Flanders is a punt option at RB If you want (need) to go in that direction. Just don’t get your hopes up as he’s only averaging 8 DK points through three games.

In this section I will identify two of my top CFL plays from each game based on a couple of metrics that I have created (full Value and Ratings data is available to our VIPS in my weekly cheat sheet and Research Station):
- Value: Player data and performance from multiple categories weighted against the player’s weekly Draftkings salary
- Rating: A metric that measures how a player ranks in various categories vs players of the same position

Montreal @ Toronto
Montreal comes in as the highest scoring team on the slate averaging 26.2 points per game so far this season. They are 5-4 over their past 9 road games averaging 31.7 points per game over that period. Montreal is averaging 149.4 rush yards per game this season and 139.9 over their past 9 away games.
Toronto WR are priced up this week but they do have a great matchup as Montreal allows 59.4 DK points per game to wr this season.

This is my favorite game of the week. Both offences can put up points and they have pieces that are priced pretty well on DK. BC allows the most DK points to RB on the slate so Powell has a chance at a decent game, especially since he’s coming off of his best game of the season. BC also allows 1.5 rush TDS per game which is good news for Powell and for Fajardo and his rushing upside. Newcomer Kian Schaffer-Baker has had back to back huge weeks and is still only $3800.
For BC, Lucky Whitehead has been lights out and is severely underpriced. He’s averaging 93 yards per game and somehow his price dropped $400 this week. Keon Hatcher has TDs in back to back games and is DK minimum if you’d like to punt at wr.
