Finally, we get away from the road courses and back toooooo, shit, 550hp and no passing. NASCAR has eliminated Indy and Cali off the schedule this year so this race is pretty much an outlier. We have very little to go off of other than 1.5 intermediate results and the fact that Harvick has destroyed the field here for the last 5 years or so. Michigan is a massive 2 mile track that since the repave has become very single file and one lane…. REPAVES ARE STUPID. Michigan with the 550hp is essentially a race where almost nobody passes and there is zero tire wear. These races are all about track position.  The Xfinity race will be a little more exciting but will have much of the same characteristics.

NASCAR Cup Series DFS Outlook

We will look to play at most two dominators in this race. Outside of that it will be all about the place differential plays and which ones can get as far forward as possible. There are 4 or 5 chalk place diff plays but that opens the door for a lot of lower owned plays starting 10th-20th in the race. Could be some opportunities there. I think we are all expecting Larson to dominate here this weekend but if the HMS cars run like they did at Atlanta then JGR and more specifically Kyle Busch could be in a position to take the win. I am very interested in how much speed Harvick has this week and I would love if he could contend for the win. The best thing that could happen to this race entertainment wise is that it becomes a fuel mileage race but if that does happen it could screw things up for DFS.

NASCAR Xfinity Series DFS Outlook

Not a ton of laps here but we should end up with a couple of main dominators. There isn’t a clear cut favorite for the win this week but instead about 7 drivers in the mix. I will look to play two of these drivers in each lineup and then really attack the place differential plays. There a tons of them in this race this week. Plenty of opportunities here especially with how poor the back of the pack cars are. A handful of drivers will be able to break 40 points on DK without having to work hard at all. Smash the place diff plays and mix in dominator threats will be my strategy.

NASCAR Truck Series DFS Outlook

I absolutely love this track, especially for the Truck Series. We almost always leave this track with a great show, and a feud or two. The three favorites for this race will be Nemechek, Gilliland, and Creed. They all start at the front and all have massive dominator potential. This race has a real shot at being an old fashioned, NASCAR short track race with multiple elite race winning contenders battling for a trophy. This should be a great race. Plenty of strong plays all throughout the field that should open up lineup building nicely. I will probably look to stack two dominators together for this race.
