Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

I want to give a quick shoutout to VIP Member “Texan9204” on their $100,000 win toward the end of the regular season!! Heading into the playoffs strong!

Washington Wizards @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total: 230.5

Vegas Spread: Phi -8.0

We’ll kick this playoff Wednesday slate off with the Wizards who look to avoid going down 0-2 in the series. Russell Westbrook came down to Earth last time out and has now been held under 55 DraftKings points in three straight games. On these playoff slates, it’s going to be hard to find the value to make you feel good with Westbrook in your lineup. If you can make it work, do it, but this Philly defense can throw the kitchen sink at him. Bradley Beal had a big game last time out and still only shot 1-6 from three-point range, he’s a solid option here and a more affordable pivot off Westbrook. Ish Smith should continue to play around 20-25 minutes and he’s looked fairly decent recently, he makes for a solid mid-range option. Rui Hachimura is never a guy that I’m thrilled to play but he’s going to see big minutes, the matchup is just really tough for his skill set. Daniel Gafford is a guy I do have a little interest in, he just looks like the best center on the Wizards and has been pretty solid as of late. Lastly, Davis Bertans looked good last time out in 28 minutes but we saw what needs to happen for you to feel good about him, he needs to shoot well due to the scoring dependency he comes with. From the Sixers, Joel Embiid is averaging 49.8 DraftKings points per game in four games against the Wizards this season, he should do whatever he wants in this one and is an elite center option. Ben Simmons finally looked like the Ben Simmons we know and love (eh), I like the price tag much more on DraftKings, but he’s a great option if he’s going to play this heavy of minutes in a great matchup. Tobias Harris had a big game one as well but felt like it was due to Embiid having a more mediocre game. I wouldn’t expect him to go out and drop 51 DraftKings points again. Seth Curry isn’t a guy I love, but he makes sense as a last type in sort of guy, the same can be said for a guy like Danny Green.

5-star play: Russell Westbrook, Joel Embiid

4-star play: Bradley Beal, Rui Hachimura, Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris

Deeper Value: Alex Len

GPP Sleeper: Daniel Gafford, Davis Bertans, Seth Curry, Danny Green

Atlanta Hawks @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 212.5

Vegas Spread: Nyk -2.5

Starting with the Hawks, Trae Young silenced Madison Square Garden in game 1 and looked great, it’s hard not to like him in all formats due to the minutes security which will help his production and ceiling. Clint Capela had a pretty average game 1 and just missed the double-double bonus on DraftKings by falling one point short, I have no issue going back to him as a pivot off of Embiid. Bogdan Bogdanovic has been extremely consistent as of late, the minutes will be there, he’s a bit more scoring-dependent than I would like, but he gets enough done in the other columns to feel comfortable. John Collins is more of a GPP guy, he’s been held under 30 FanDuel points in four straight games and priced too high for me due to the volatility he carries with him. Lastly, guys like Kevin Huerter and Danilo Gallinari are both GPP guys if you land on them. I will say, keep an eye on De’Andre Hunter, he’s a guy I really like if he runs into 25-30 minutes, he was a mid-$6k range guy all season before his injury. From the Knicks, Julius Randle had a rough game 1 and just seemed to shoot pretty poorly in that one. I have no issue going right back to him here, we know he’s going to play around 40 minutes. RJ Barrett is averaging 37.8 DraftKings points per game in four games against the Hawks this season and gives us a pretty quality SF option on this slate. Derrick Rose is a guy that made my core in our VIP Coaches Notes/Cheat Sheets, and I’ll go right back to the well on him tonight. The big thing with him this season has been the minutes, but it seems like he’s going to play around 35 minutes in the playoffs, love him here. Alec Burks looked really good last time out but I wouldn’t expect him to shoot 70% again, that said, he’s at a nice price tag and provides some additional scoring for this team. Lastly, Taj Gibson is getting more run than I think the Knicks would like, but it’s sort of by necessity. Mitchell Robinson comes into this one as questionable but he hasn’t played since 3/27, so if he returns he should be limited. Gibson makes sense as a value option on both sites due to the role he has on this team right now.

5-star play: Trae Young, Julius Randle

4-star play: Clint Capela, Bogdan Bogdanovic, RJ Barrett, Derrick Rose

Deeper Value: Taj Gibson, De’Andre Hunter

GPP Sleeper: John Collins, Kevin Huerter, Alec Burks, Danilo Gallinari

Memphis Grizzlies @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 219.0

Vegas Spread: Utah -8.5

We’ll round the slate out starting with the Grizzlies who look to take a 2-0 lead in the series as they look to knock off the top-seeded Jazz. Ja Morant continues to look like a great option and a guy that they’ll look to take a leap in this playoff series and carry this team. He’s a great option in all formats even against a good defense. Jonas Valanciunas should play big minutes in this matchup in order to help stop Rudy Gobert on the other side of this one. He’s struggled with fouls over his past two games but a guy that I love the ceiling on. Dillon Brooks is fun man… he’s going to play huge minutes due to the defense and energy he provides, and just happened to shoot the lights out last game. I love him at this price tag and a guy I’ll go right back to here. Kyle Anderson is never a sexy option but he has at least 35 DraftKings points in three of his last five games. Jaren Jackson has seen his minutes come down since that play-in game, but he’s also struggled with fouls which is nothing new for him, I like him for tournaments. Lastly, if you need a filler you can go to Desmond Bane, but not a guy I love all that much. From the Jazz, it sounds like Donovan Mitchell will finally return here after missing game 1. He hasn’t played in over a month so it will be interesting to see what sort of minute restriction he has here, keep an eye on our Breaking News Feed for updates surrounding him. Rudy Gobert feels like a good cash option due to the floor he brings to the table but if you’re chasing upside, I think you go to one of these other guys in his price range. Jordan Clarkson and Mike Conley are both solid options, Conley had the big game 1 going for a 50 burger and a guy you can play again here. Lastly, guys like Bojan Bogdanovic, Royce O’Neale, and Joe Ingles are all secondary tournament options for me as well.

5-star play: Ja Morant

4-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, Dillon Brooks, Rudy Gobert, Jordan Clarkson, Mike Conley

Deeper Value: Royce O’Neale

GPP Sleeper: Jaren Jackson, Kyle Anderson, Bojan Bogdanovic, Royce O’Neale, Joe Ingles
