Los Angeles Lakers @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 205.5

Vegas Spread: Nyk -3.5

This is a horrible game here outside of one guy I want to play, both these teams play very slow and this is the lowest total on the slate by far. Starting with the Lakers, it looks like LeBron and AD will still be out here so that puts the scoring load on both Dennis Schroder and Kyle Kuzma but again, the total on this is so low that I really won’t be playing either of them. If you’re looking for value, Alex Caruso and Talen Horton-Tucker are also solid plays, as is Montrezl Harrell as his minutes should be blowout proof as well. If Andre Drummond suits up for this one he would be a decent value play here as the Knicks aren’t great against bigs. Now for the Knicks, the only guy I’ll likely be playing from this game is Julius Randle, as this is the ultimate revenge spot for him as he had a sour taste in his mouth with how he got let go from the Lakers after they used a high draft pick on him. RJ Barrett has also been solid and he isn’t too badly priced, but he’s more of a cash game play here today if at all. Elfrid Payton and Nerlens Noel are also in play here, but like I said really the only guy I’ll be targeting from this game is Randle.

5-star play: Julius Randle

4-star play: Dennis Schroder, Andre Drummond, Kyle Kuzma, RJ Barrett, Nerlens Noel

Deeper Value: Elfrid Payton, Alex Caruso, Talen Horton-Tucker

GPP Sleeper: Talen Horton-Tucker (if Kuzma is out again)

Philadelphia 76ers @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: 223.5

Vegas Spread: Phi -3

This game looks like it’ll be pretty entertaining, even with the Mavericks on the 2nd half of a B2B. Starting with the Sixers, Joel Embiid hasn’t looked great since he returned from injury, but this is a great matchup for him as the Mavs have been getting crushed in their frontcourt with all the injuries they’ve had.  Tobias Harris and Ben Simmons are both solid plays as well, but I’m not too high on Ben Simmons here tonight as he doesn’t have a great track record against the Mavericks. Seth Curry is solid here as well, and he makes for solid play here going up against his old team. Shake Milton would also become a really nice value play as well as he leads their 2nd unit in scoring coming off the bench. Now for the Mavericks, Luka Doncic is the obvious play here, but the matchup leaves a bit to be desired here as he’ll have to face Simmons who is one of the better defenders in the NBA. Kristaps Porzingis had a great game last night, but with it being the 2nd half of a B2B his status is in the air tonight, if he plays he is a solid play. Josh Richardson, would become a solid play if Porzingis were to miss, as would Tim Hardaway as he would have to take on a bigger scoring role as well. Willie Cauley-Stein also played last night, and if Kleber is out again then he becomes a solid value, but if both those guys are out then we can maybe even get some Boban Marjanovic love or Nicolo Melli.

5-star play: Joel Embiid, Luka Doncic

4-star play: Kristaps Porzingis (if in), Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons, Tim Hardaway

Deeper Value: Shake Milton, Seth Curry, Willie Cauley-Stein, Nicolo Melli, Boban Marjanovic

GPP Sleeper: Nicolo Melli

San Antonio Spurs @ Orlando Magic

Vegas Total: 220.5

Vegas Spread: Sas -6

This is another ugly game that I won’t have a ton of exposure too, as both these teams have been struggling and the Magic’s rotation is an absolute mess right now. Starting with the Spurs, this is a great matchup for both DeMar Derozan and Dejounte Murray as both had really solid games yesterday and the Magic allow a ton of FPs to opposing guards. Jakob Poeltl also has a solid matchup here as well, and if you’re looking for value, Derrick White and Patty Mills are in play with that solid matchup. Keldon Johnson is also worth a shot in GPPs if you’re looking to get different. Now for the Magic, Mo Bamba has been on a tear, but he’s been splitting minutes with Wendell Carter Jr. so it limits the ceiling on both of them. Cole Anthony and RJ Hampton have also both been getting big minutes off the bench here, but I would prefer if both of them started. Terrence Ross is also in play here with the usage he gets with the 2nd unit, but with Michael Carter-Williams healthy it kind of puts a damper on him, as does Dwayne Bacon. Overall, another game that I won’t have a ton of exposure to.

5-star play: None

4-star play: DeMar Derozan, Dejounte Murray, Cole Anthony, Mo Bamba

Deeper Value: Keldon Johnson, Derrick White, Patty Mills, RJ Hampton, Wendell Carter Jr.

GPP Sleeper: Mo Bamba

Brooklyn Nets @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 236.5

Vegas Spread: Bkn -8.5

This should be a very interesting game, as the Nets will be shorthanded here so this game could be pretty close and we have a nice total here as well. Starting with the Nets, Kyrie Irving is out here tonight for personal reasons, as someone must’ve told him the earth was round and hurt his feelings. Kevin Durant is still being eased in, so I’m not crazy about him at that price tag, but with Harden out its hard not to see him dominating usage. We’ll need word on how many minutes he’ll get here. I’ll have some interest in Bruce Brown and Joe Harris as well with both of those guys out tonight as it opens up a ton of usage. LaMarcus Aldridge is also out tonight with an illness, so that opens up more minutes for Blake Griffin and Nic Claxton as his role has continued to increase throughout the year. Landry Shamet is also in play here with all the injuries to their guards and he is a great GPP option. Now for the Wolves, Karl-Anthony Towns should have an absolute field day here, as the Nets get crushed by opposing bigs, and he has been hot as well. D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards are also solid plays here as well, as the Nets don’t play defense. Ricky Rubio actually had a solid game yesterday as well, and he’s in play for value at the PG spot tonight. Jaden McDaniels has also taken over that 4 spot for the Wolves, and he’s a solid play here as well tonight if you’re looking to get different in GPPs.

5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Kevin Durant (if no restrictions)

4-star play: Bruce Brown, Joe Harris, Blake Griffin, D’Angelo Russell, Anthony Edwards

Deeper Value: Jaden McDaniels, Nic Claxton, Bruce Brown, Joe Harris, Landry Shamet

GPP Sleeper: Ricky Rubio, Landry Shamet

Chicago Bulls @ Memphis Grizzlies

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Both of these teams are on the 2nd half of a B2B, so it should be interesting to see how this shakes out here. Starting with the Bulls, Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine have been absolutely dominating the usage here, and both are great plays again here tonight, I especially like LaVine as he’s been heating up the past week and a half. Thaddeus Young has also been really solid, as Lauri Markkanen’s role continues to diminish. Daniel Theis’ role has also been expanding, as he is eating into both Markkanen and Thad’s minutes. Patrick Williams is also as solid value as he has some serious upside but the consistency is his main issue. Tomas Satoransky is also in play as long as he continues to start, and if Coby White were to miss he would be a great play tonight. Now for the Grizzlies, Ja Morant has the best matchup here on the night, as the Bulls struggle to defend PGs and Jonas Valanciunas is coming off a monster game, but he runs into the buzzsaw that is Vuc here tonight, so I’m likely fading him here. Dillon Brooks has been solid as well, but he’s priced right about at value here so he’s more of a cash game type play tonight. Desmond Bane also played big minutes, and I’d expect him to do some more here tonight on a B2B, as I like Brandon Clarke here as well.

5-star play: Nikola Vucevic, Zach LaVine, Ja Morant

4-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, Dillon Brooks, Thaddeus Young

Deeper Value: Tomas Satoransky, Dillon Brooks, Desmond Bane, Brandon Clarke

GPP Sleeper: Patrick Williams

Sacramento Kings @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total: 232

Vegas Spread: Nop -3.5

This is another game I want to target, as we have a high total and it should be very competitive as well. Starting with the Kings, De’Aaron Fox has been really solid outside of one really bad game, but he gets a solid matchup here, as the Pels are not great against PGs. Tyrese Haliburton seems to have hit that rookie wall over the last month, which benefits Buddy Hield as he’s seen an uptick in usage, but he performed well in their last game and neither guy breaks the bank, I prefer Haliburton here though as the Pels defend the perimeter pretty well. Richaun Holmes has also been solid, and he’s shown to have some really nice games from time to time, but the matchup isn’t the best against Steven Adams. Harrison Barnes also has been really solid despite his dud the other night, he’s in play in all aspects here tonight as well especially in cash games. Now for the Pelicans, Zion Williamson has been lighting it up in all aspects, and his price is approaching 10K but for good reason. He’s a premier play here tonight. Brandon Ingram also returned yesterday, but with it being a B2B he may rest here so that is something to watch for, if he does then it pushes Lonzo Ball into elite play territory if he plays tonight. Najii Marshall also continues to start, and he is a solid value here, especially if Ball and Ingram were to miss. James Johnson is also playing big minutes off the bench as well, I like him for value tonight again as well.

5-star play: Zion Williamson, De’Aaron Fox

4-star play: Tyrese Haliburton, Harrison Barnes, Richaun Holmes, Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball

Deeper Value: Najii Marshall, James Johnson

GPP Sleeper: James Johnson

Washington Wizards @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 234.5

Vegas Spread: Uth -12.5

This should be an interesting game, as we have a high total and if the Wizards can keep this one close then this game has some GPP winning upside for sure. Starting with the Wizards,  Russell Westbrook a premier play once again, even in a matchup like this as he is hard to contain. If Bradley Beal is in here tonight I will like this game more, as he could help keep this game competitive, he has said that his hip is literally day to day depending on how it feels when he wakes up, so it is a toss up if he plays tonight. Rui Hachimura has also turned it on the past few weeks and he would be a great play if Beal were to miss here tonight. Robin Lopez is my favorite play off the bench, as Len will likely be a bit limited here as well, but Daniel Gafford is back as well, and he is a solid value especially if Bertans is out. Deni Avdija didn’t have a great game last night, but he would be a really nice value as well if Beal and Bertans were to miss. Lastly, if Bertans is out as well then I’ll have a few shares of Chandler Hutchison as well as he’ll dominate usage with that 2nd unit along with Gafford. Now for the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is on absolute fire right now, as he’s been lights out these past few games and I don’t see that changing here tonight, he’s an elite play here tonight. Mike Conley has also been really solid and he has a great matchup against Westbrook tonight. If either of those guys were to sit out this game then it would also make Joe Ingles and Jordan Clarkson really nice value plays as well, especially Ingles if Clarkson misses again. Rudy Gobert should also be able to get whatever he wants here against this Wizards team as they can’t defend bigs at all. Lastly, Bojan Bogdanovic has had an off year, but he should see plenty of open 3 opportunities in this one so he is in play for GPPs. UPDATE: Conley is out tonight, this makes Joe Ingles a premier play tonight.

5-star play: Russell Westbrook, Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: Bradley Beal, Rui Hachimura, Rudy Gobert, Joe Ingles

Deeper Value: Joe Ingles, Daniel Gafford, Deni Avdija, Chandler Hutchison

GPP Sleeper: Daniel Gafford

Denver Nuggets @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total: 229.5

Vegas Spread: Den -3.5

This is going to be a game that I want to target here, as we have a nice total and with the Nuggets on the 2nd half of a B2B this game should be pretty competitive as the Warriors have been playing some solid basketball. Starting with the Nuggets, the obvious play here is going to be Nikola Jokic, as he has been on an absolute tear all year and I love him in all formats tonight as the Warriors won’t be able to stop him. Aaron Gordon is also fitting into this offense nicely, and Michael Porter Jr. has also been on a tear offensively as well, I’ll like both of them a lot more if Jamal Murray is out again here tonight as well. If he is out, Monte Morris would be the guy I want to target, even if he doesn’t start, and I’ll even have some shares of Will Barton as he can run the point for them as well. Now for the Warriors, Steph Curry has been on fire these past few games, and he’s a premier play tonight after coming off multiple 50+ FP performances and the Nuggets don’t defend PGs well. Kelly Oubre Jr. missed last game, so if he is out again then it opens up more usage for Andrew Wiggins as he had a really solid game last night with him out as well. Draymond Green also gets a tougher matchup here, but they’ll need him as James Wiseman hurt himself again the other night, so we’re unsure of his status, if he were to miss, then it would put Juan Toscano-Anderson in play again here tonight for value.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic, Steph Curry

4-star play: Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr.

Deeper Value: Juan Toscano-Anderson, Will Barton, Monte Morris

GPP Sleeper: Juan Toscano-Anderson, Will Barton

Houston Rockets @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 228

Vegas Spread: Phx -13

This game has some sneaky shootout potential as well, as both of these teams play very fast, but I do have a worry about this game staying close as this total already opened up at PHX -13. Starting with the Rockets, if John Wall is in tonight he is firmly in play, however, if he were to miss, then Kevin Porter Jr. would run the point and he would become a really solid play. Christian Wood would also be a great play here as long as he doesn’t rest as he is still to cheap for the usage he has on this offense and the matchup is solid against Ayton. Kelly Olynyk has also been great as well and he’s reasonably priced still. Kenyon Martin Jr. would also be in line for some run here if Wall is out, and I wouldn’t hate Sterling Brown coming off the bench either. Now for the Suns, Chris Paul and Devin Booker should have a field day here, as the Rockets really struggle to defend guards and the two of them have been trending upward, especially Booker. DeAndre Ayton also has a great matchup here tonight, as the Rockets are probably the worst defensive team in the NBA. Mikal Bridges also plays well in fast paced games like these so he’s in play as well for GPPs. Lastly, Dario Saric should see some solid run here, and Cam Johnson even showed some signs of life the other night as well as his minutes are trending upward. I could even go to some Cameron Payne here in GPPs as well if you think this game blows out.

5-star play: Devin Booker, Chris Paul

4-star play: John Wall, DeAndre Ayton, Kevin Porter Jr., Kelly Olynyk, Christian Wood

Deeper Value: Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Dario Saric, Sterling Brown

GPP Sleeper: Cameron Payne, Cam Johnson

NBA Lock of the Day:

(Joe Ingles FD: $5,500 DK: $5,700)

Mike Conley has already been ruled out for this game, so either way he would be in play, but Jordan Clarkson is also a GTD here, and if he misses as well then Ingles will run the point and he would absolutely crush value. Add in that this is a game against WAS who struggles to defend the perimeter and plays at a fast pace, and you have a recipe for success with Jingles here tonight.
