Kansas Speedway

Super excited for Kansas this week. This is in my opinion the best 1.5 mile track NASCAR races on. It has multiple grooves, tire wear, and rewards mechanical grip. A driver can have more input here between car setup, driving style, and maintaining grip over the long run. Long run speed is vital here. Tire fall off is between 2-3 seconds a lap over the course of a green flag run. Homestead and Atlanta would be the two biggest comparisons to Kansas so we definitely have plenty of info from this year to help build lineups.

The best place to research this race would be in the comparable track sections of the DFS Army Research Station.

 Cup DFS Outlook

On DraftKings you will want to play 1-2 dominators in every lineup. The key to this is who you classify as a dominator essentially. Drivers like Larson, Bowman, and Logano start very deep in the field and offer huge place diff but also dominator ability. Hamlin and Truex start mid pack and also offer good place diff potential. Reasonably speaking we will want to play a ton of these drivers and mix and match them with the remaining drivers who have massive dominator potential. Drivers like Keselowski and Blaney stick out. On FanDuel, you will want to focus on the place differential drivers. Unless someone like Keselowski leads a ton of this race and finish first. The HMS cars should be considered the favorites to win but JGR and Penske are in the mix too.

Truck Series DFS Outlook

This is an incredibly interesting race for DFS. It all starts with Kyle Busch being in the race. Starting 2nd he is at the front and ready to crush the dominator points. However, John Hunter Nemechek has beaten Busch straight-up in their last two races. JHN who starts first should be considered the favorite to dominate and win if Busch doesn’t. For me, all lineups start with one of these two or both together hoping they grab all the dom points. Enfinger and Briscoe are super high priced due to their starting positions but it is important to realize both are driving mid pack trucks. Their upsides aren’t as high as one might expect. I think there are so many possibilities for this race. Lastly, Fogleman and Truex are bound to be heavily owned and the fact they are regular chalk bombs is rather concerning. We know they are the best two value plays but they are struggling to stay out of trouble weekly.
