Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides last season, so we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Steve aka @Mutt18 on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. Utah Jazz @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total: 228

Vegas Spread: Uth -4.5

This game actually has one of the highest totals on the slate, which tells us a lot about the slate. We get a 7:30 PM lock time tonight so we have an extra half hour to tinker which can be both good and bad. Starting with the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell will have a tougher time here with Marcus Smart back, as Stevens will likely stick him on him to make his life miserable, he’ll be a GPP only play for me tonight. Rudy Gobert should see a benefit from that, as the Celtics are bad against bigs and he should be able to get to the cup with ease tonight. Mike Conley also draws a favorable matchup going up against Kemba, and Jordan Clarkson and Joe Ingles will be the sparkplugs for this Jazz teams coming off the bench. Both are solid values with my preference being Clarkson. If you’re looking for a punt at PF, Royce O’Neale is in play, but you can never get excited about playing him. Lastly, Bojan Bogdanovic is firmly in play here as his price doesn’t break the bank, and his shooting has shown signs of positive regression after his difficult first half. Now for the Celtics, Jayson Tatum draws a decent matchup, whereas the rest of the Celtics have difficult matchups as this Jazz team is really solid defensively, although they have shown cracks as they’ve been struggling over their past 6 games. Jaylen Brown is also in play in GPPs, but he’s draws a tough matchup as does Kemba Walker going up against Mike Conley. Daniel Theis has been playing heavy minutes as well but again this isn’t a matchup that I want to target. Overall I’ll be very light on the Celtics.

5-star play: Rudy Gobert

4-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Kemba Walker

Deeper Value: Bojan Bogdanovic, Jordan Clarkson, Daniel Theis

GPP Sleeper: Royce O’Neale

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total: 224

Vegas Spread: Chi -5.5

Here we have two pretty bad teams going up against one another, but the Bulls have been playing a bit better as of late. The Thunder are still struck by the injury bug, as Darius Bazley has already been ruled out again, and Al Horford, Luguentz Dort and Theo Maledon are all GTD. Either way, this is a great matchup for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as he’ll dominate usage with that 1st team and be the main scorer. Ty Jerome would also be in line for big minutes if Maledon is out again and he makes for a nice value piece. Isaiah Roby would also be in line for more minutes if Horford is out again and the Thunder’s first round pick from this year, Aleksej Pokusevski shined in their last game against Memphis. Kenrich Williams will also likely play heavy minutes off the bench if Dort is going to miss again as well. Now for the Bulls, Zach LaVine’s usage takes a hit with Lauri Markannen and Otto Porter both both, but all 3 are in play tonight against this Thunder team who have struggled defensively this year. The Bulls shook it up last game, adding Tomas Satoransky and Thaddeus Young to the starting lineup, both are solid plays again tonight if they continue to start. Patrick Williams also shined last game, which was a bit of a surprise, but given that he is a rookie it is tough to try and continue that type of production on a consistent basis, so he’ll be a GPP only play again tonight. Overall there aren’t a ton of guys I want to target in this game given the low score.

5-star play: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Zach LaVine

4-star play: Lauri Markkanen, Isaiah Roby, Ty Jerome, Kenrich Williams, Thaddeus Young

Deeper Value: Tomas Satoransky, Patrick Williams, Ty Jerome

GPP Sleeper: Ty Jerome

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

This should be one of the lower total games on the night, as both of these teams do not play fast, and the Heat in particular slow everything down. Starting with the Cavs, Collin Sexton has been the bright spot in this offense the past few games, and he should shine again tonight if Darius Garland were to miss again. Kevin Love will be a fade for me again tonight, as they ease him back in, but this is a nice boost to Jarrett Allen who gets a nice matchup here with Bam likely out again tonight. Larry Nance has also been playing big minutes off the bench and he’s in play for GPPs here as he can rack up FPs in a hurry when he gets going. Darius Garland did end up playing last game, but the matchup is difficult for him tonight. The only other option I’d consider here is Cedi Osman as he also played 26 minutes off the bench which tied Nance. Overall not a ton to love from the Cavs tonight. Now for the Heat, its looking like Bam Adebayo will be out again, which opens up the door for Jimmy Butler once again, as he’s been having monster games with him out of the lineup. Kelly Olynyk has also quietly been on fire and his price continues to stay way too low. He’ll likely be a core play tonight at that price. Goran Dragic should also play heavy minutes off the bench, as should Tyler Herro but its a tough time in guessing which one of them is going to go off, as Kendrick Nunn’s minutes continue to tick downward. If you’re looking to get different in GPPs, Duncan Robinson has been playing 30+ minutes a game, but he’s more in play on DK where you get the 3PT bonus as you hope he catches fire from beyond the arc.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler

4-star play: Kelly Olynyk, Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, Goran Dragic, Jarrett Allen

Deeper Value: Cedi Osman, Larry Nance, Duncan Robinson

GPP Sleeper: Duncan Robinson

New York Knicks @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total: 216

Vegas Spread: Phi -7

The Knicks are on the 2nd half of a B2B after barely losing to the Nets last night, and they get an Embiid-less 76ers team that is otherwise at full strength. The best matchup here will be for Julius Randle as he does all the heavy lifting for this Knicks team and he makes for a great play in all formats. We have to keep an eye on injury news as well, but if Derrick Rose and Elfrid Payton are out again, that’ll open up a ton of minutes for Immanuel Quickley again he played great last night as well. RJ Barrett would also see a nice boost and he makes for a solid play as well at his price. Nerlens Noel is also in play without Embiid, but his price has caught up to his production so I think he’s priced right about at value. Reggie Bullock played 42 minutes last night as well, he’s in play for value as is Alec Burks if all those guards are out again tonight for the Knicks as well as they’ll run a tight rotation of 8-9 guys. Now for the Sixers, Ben Simmons returned last game, and we know that we can count on him to have some massive games when Embiid is out, and the matchup is phenomenal for him here tonight against this Knicks team that has smaller guards. Tobias Harris is also a solid option in all formats, especially cash games at his price and usage with Embiid out of the lineup. Seth Curry also sees a boost here, but his ceiling is a bit lower with Simmons back, and I really like Shake Milton to bounce back here after getting into foul trouble last game. Dwight Howard and Tony Bradley will also split the minutes at the 5, both are in play for value again here tonight but their prices are coming up.

5-star play: Ben Simmons, Julius Randle

4-star play: Immanuel Quickley, Nerlens Noel, RJ Barrett, Tobias Harris

Deeper Value: Shake Milton, Tony Bradley, Dwight Howard, Seth Curry, Reggie Bullock

GPP Sleeper: Reggie Bullock, Alec Burks

Atlanta Hawks @ Houston Rockets

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Now this is a game that has some potential, as the Hawks tend to play down to their competition and the Rockets have just been flat out bad since they released Cousins. Starting with the Hawks, Clint Capela is a GTD here tonight, and if he sits again then that’ll open up a ton of usage for John Collins as we saw last game. He’s still priced very nicely and would make for a great play in all formats. Trae Young would be another big beneficiary as his usage would get an uptick as well, and with Wall out again tonight the matchup is one that he should be able to take advantage of again tonight. Kevin Huerter will also see a ton of minutes with Reddish out again, and it’ll open up a few more minutes for Bogdan Bogdanovic and Danilo Gallinari coming off the bench. Gallo even started last game and played 28 minutes, so my preference would be Bog as he won’t have as much competition for touches on that 2nd unit. Now for the Rockets, Wall, Wood and House have already been ruled out for this game, so we can go right back to Kevin Porter Jr. and Kenyon Martin Jr. as these two have been staples in our lineups the last few games with all the Rockets value. Both are still criminally underpriced on FanDuel, especially Kenyon Martin Jr. who is minimum once again. Justin Patton should also play heavy minutes here, as should Jae’Sean Tate, both have been really solid in that front court and the value is there again tonight especially given the matchup against the Hawks who play fast and loose. Lastly for the Rockets, we can’t forget about Victor Oladipo as he’ll run the point here and get a ton of usage with that 1st team, but he is the most expensive Rocket tonight, but for good reason.

5-star play: John Collins, Trae Young, Kevin Porter Jr.

4-star play: Kevin Huerter, Danilo Gallinari, Justin Patton, Jae’Sean Tate, Victor Oladipo

Deeper Value: Kenyon Martin Jr., Justin Patton, Bogdan Bogdanovic

GPP Sleeper: Kenyon Martin Jr.

New Orleans Pelicans @ Portland Trail Blazers

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: TBD

Here is another game that we can get excited about, as both of these teams have been playing some good ball and both play fast which is a recipe for success with fantasy points at stake. Starting with the Pelicans, Zion Williamson has had the keys handed to him, as he does it all for the Pelicans and he makes for a phenomenal play here as the Blazers are terrible defensively. Brandon Ingram has also looked a lot better as of late, and he even went off their last game against the Clippers. Lonzo Ball has also been quietly having the best season of his young career, and gets a fantastic matchup going up against Dame here who doesn’t play defense. Eric Bledsoe is also in play for GPPs, but I’d rather get to Lonzo. Steven Adams should also have a field day down low going up against Kanter who is basically a revolving door at the rim. Josh Hart is a solid value for GPPs as he’ll play 25+ minutes off the bench and isn’t afraid to do the dirty work either. Now for the Blazers, the big news here is that CJ McCollum will return tonight after missing 25 games with a broken foot. I expect he’ll be on a minutes limit here tonight so though so he’ll be a fade for me. Damian Lillard is the obvious play as he is this Blazers team, and he’s been white hot from the field over the past week or so. Enes Kanter draws a difficult matchup though going up against Adams, so I like Robert Covington a bit more here for GPPs. Lastly, Carmelo Anthony will anchor that 2nd unit, and we know that he can get hot as he is trying to continue to move up that all-time scoring list. Overall this is a great game that we should look to target tonight.

5-star play: Zion Williamson, Damian Lillard

4-star play: Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Robert Covington, Carmelo Anthony

Deeper Value: Josh Hart, Steven Adams, Eric Bledose

GPP Sleeper: Steven Adams

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total: 225

Vegas Spread: Lal -9

Here we have the last game of the night, and it really isn’t one to get excited about unless LeBron is out, as this Timberwolves team has had a tough time keeping pace with anyone this season. Starting with the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns has looked a lot better over the past week, and he gets a nice matchup here as AD is still out so he won’t have to worry about banging with him down low. Anthony Edwards has also been white hot, and his price continues to stay in a very playable range to where he still has plenty of upside. Ricky Rubio is also dirt cheap and will continue to play big minutes with Russell out. Jaylen Nowell has been a favorite target of mine as well, and if McLaughlin is out again tonight then I’ll be going right back to him as well as his minutes are blowout proof. Jake Layman has also been starting and he’s cheap as well, he’s a decent value tonight. Now for the Lakers, I don’t see any designation on LeBron James this evening so it looks like he’ll be a full go here after only playing 30 minutes last night. He’s a triple double threat anytime he steps on the court. Talen Horton-Tucker also logged a ton of minutes last night due to the blowout and I can see that happening again tonight as well. Dennis Schroder is also firmly in play here, as he’ll play heavy minutes at the PG spot especially with Caruso out, and he comes at a nice price on all sites. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is a GPP option here tonight as well at his price, especially on FanDuel where steals are worth 3 FPs as the Wolves are very turnover prone. Not a ton to target on the Lakers here tonight but there is some value on the Wolves side.

5-star play: LeBron James, Karl-Anthony Towns

4-star play: Anthony Edwards, Dennis Schroder, Ricky Rubio

Deeper Value: Jaylen Nowell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Talen Horton-Tucker

GPP Sleeper: Anthony Edwards, Talen Horton-Tucker

NBA Lock of the Day:

(Kenyon Martin Jr. FD: $3,500 DK: $5,300)

Going right back to the well here with Kenyon Martin Jr. as he is still minimum on FanDuel and has legitimate 10x upside. DK has made a bit of an adjustment but he’s still been over 30 FPs each of the past few games there as well.  Him and Kevin Porter Jr. have been locks for me these past few games, and at their respective prices on FanDuel that isn’t going to change tonight either. Lock him in tonight and move on. As always, check back here for updates throughout the day, and as always, stay updated in our VIP Coaching forums as news breaks throughout the day!
