Clipping Coupons for NFL Week 12
Another week is in the books and now we start this puzzle all over again for week 12. We are over half way done with the NFL season and there is a ton of money to be won in Daily Fantasy Football every single week and we have solid data to work off at this point in the year. Somebody can win a million dollars each week on DraftKings and FanDuel and there are tons of other contests that can fit your personal DFS goals. However, if a player is a good play on one site, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are a good play on the other site. Salaries are everything in DFS and in this article I am going to point out the best deals on each week on each site and help you clip some coupons if you are looking to bargain shop around the DFS industry. Here are some of the best deals this week at each offensive position:
Quarterbacks
Philip Rivers on FanDuel $6,800. This is a big game, and the winner will be the favorite to win the division. Rivers is questionable this week but if he plays, I am interested over on FanDuel. Rivers is the 10th highest priced QB on DraftKings this week but on FanDuel he is towards the bottom as the 17th highest priced. This game does have a 51.5-point total and the Colts are at home in the dome. It is hard to get the stack right with Rivers because he spreads the ball around so much, but they are all cheap so if you get it right not only do you have a cheap stack but it will be very low owned as well.

Matt Ryan on DraftKings $5,900. This is the 2nd highest game total on the slate at 54-points and the Falcons are always a team I look to target through the air. I like Ryan more if Julio Jones plays but even if he sits, I am fine using Ryan here and stacking this game. We are getting a discount on Ryan over on DraftKings this week priced as the 14th highest QB on the week compared to FanDuel where he is priced up at #7. Ryan is averaging 19.5 DK points on the season and LV has allowed opposing QBs to score 19 or more in 7 games this season and over 25 DK points in 5 of those games. This is one of my favorite games to stack this week and this coupon makes it difficult to pass up on Ryan over on DraftKings.
Running Backs
Kalen Ballage on FanDuel $5,500. Ballage has had at least 15 rushes in the 3 games he has been the lead back and his targets have increased each week. He has seen 3, 6, and 9 targets in the passing game and now he is facing a Bills defense who has allowed at least 15 FD points to opposing RBs in every game this season. Ballage does have a Q tag though and Ekeler could return as well, so we have to keep an eye on the news but if Ballage plays and Ekeler sits he becomes one of my favorite FD options at RB. We are getting a discount on him on FD priced the same or below 29 other RBs where DraftKings has him priced up as the 14th highest on the slate. We currently have Ballage projected as our top Fpts/$ play over on our Domination Station Optimizer at RB this week and that is a coupon I am willing to click if we don’t have to worry about Ekeler eating into his role.
Melvin Gordon on DraftKings $5,200. MG3 is my preferred RB on this Broncos team and we are getting a coupon on his salary this week over on DraftKings. FanDuel has Gordon priced way up as the 9th highest on the slate this week which makes him a fade for me on that site. However, on the full-point PPR site, where I prefer MG3 anyway, there are 21 other RBs priced the same or above MG3 and that discount has me interested. He saw the endzone twice last weekend and he has carried the ball for 15 or more times in five games this season, so the potential for a big workload is there. I wouldn’t want to trust Gordon in cash games, but this coupon definitely puts him in play for GPPs.
Wide Receivers
Cooper Kupp on FanDuel $6,700. DraftKings has Kupp priced as the 9th highest WR on the slate and I think that makes sense. He is averaging over 13 targets in the last 3 games and he always has big play ability. He has had a 20 yard or longer reception in 7 games this season and he is coming off an 11-catch game for 145 yards against a tough defense. FanDuel has him priced down as the 15th highest WR on the slate and that is even lower than Robert Woods. I am willing to clip that coupon this week on FanDuel and we have him projected as the 2nd highest Fpts/$ play at WR this week on our Domination Station Optimizer.
Tyler Boyd on DraftKings $5,000. This is not a play I love with Burrow done for the season, but it is still a coupon available to us. FanDuel has Tyler Boyd priced right above the Rams duo as the 13th highest WR and that is the highest price ($6,900) he has been all season for some reason. That makes him an easy fade for me on that site but DraftKings has Boyd priced down as the 34th highest WR on the slate and that makes him playable in all formats. It’s hard to know what the new QB will do with the ball and who is top WR will be, but Boyd has been the most consistent WR this season snap wise as you can see from our Research Lab below, and the opportunity is really all we can ask for at this point.
Tight Ends
Evan Engram on FanDuel $5,600. There really aren’t any good coupons at TE this week on FanDuel. They are pretty even on both sites, but Engram is one towards the top that is a couple of slots lower over on FanDuel and he is a play I kind of like moving forwards. DraftKings has Engram priced as the 5th highest compared to 8th over on FanDuel. In the 3 previous games prior to last week Engram saw 10, 10, and 9 targets in those games. He also saw 5 Red Zone targets in those games as well. He does have big play ability as well and I think he ends the season stronger than he started it so he is in play for me on both sites, but I do prefer clipping that coupon on FanDuel instead.
Jared Cook on DraftKings $3,500. Cook only saw 1 target with Hill at QB last week but we are getting a discount on DraftKings this week because of it. FanDuel still has Cook priced as the 6th highest TE on the slate so that will make him a fade for me over there. We have a nice coupon available to us on DraftKings though with him priced as the 15th highest TE on the slate. Only seeing 1 target last week is not good at all, but that 1 target was in the Red Zone, and if Cook catches 1 pass for a TD at this price then we will take that. He also has a ceiling that is much higher, and a one-game sample size is not enough to know where Hill will be throwing the ball. Cook is in play in all formats for me with this coupon over on DraftKings
