PITCHERS

Straily will be recommended for the 3rd day in a row as Lotte got rained out again last night. We have a decent pitching slate here tonight, but we unfortunately lost out on our Koo day last night even though he got lit up.

Dan Straily ($9,500/$24) – Well, I’ll now be recommending Straily for the 3rd day in a row, as Lotte got rained out again last night. Straily has gone from being a human pitching machine in the MLB, to an absolute stud in the KBO as his ability to pitch to contact actually works really well for him overseas. Over his last 5 starts, he’s thrown 33 2/3 innings allowing only 4 ERs which is an ERA of 1.07, he has a WHIP of 0.87, 37K’s which averages out to 9.9 K’s/9. He gets a slightly worse matchup here tonight though, as he doesn’t get Kia but faces Samsung tonight who have been heating up a bit over their last few games. Still, he shouldn’t have any difficulty here tonight in that department. Vegas has Lotte as a -178 favorite here tonight which is tied for highest on the slate. Straily is an ALL format type play here tonight, as he’s been on fire lately with that 1.07 ERA over his last 5 starts.

Casey Kelly ($9,000/$25) – I really like this matchup for Kelly here tonight, as SK has really been scuffling at the plate as Romak is in a slump, and Choi has just been inconsistent, and outside of those two guys they don’t get much production out of the rest of their lineup. He’s already had success in this spot earlier this year as well, going 7 innings, allowing 1 ER while K’ing 4. He makes for a rather safe SP2 option on DraftKings, and is even cash viable on FanDuel as well as LG is tied with Lotte for the highest favorite on the slate. Kelly is an ALL format type play here tonight, I expect him and Straily to be paired together frequently on DraftKings and both make sense for cash on FanDuel as well.

Warwick Saupold ($8,500/$28) – Saupold has been a bit hot and cold lately, as he shut down two of the top offenses in the KBO in each of his last 2 starts against Doosan and NC, but got lit up by Lotte in the start before those two. KT also put up 19 runs last night and are heating up, so there is a bit of risk there. The K upside isn’t as high as a guy like Gagnon’s, but he’s more likely to pitch deeper into this game. The main issue is he doesn’t get much run support so he’ll need some help in that department in order to pick up the W. Still, I think he is a pretty safe cash option as your SP2 on DraftKings. Saupold is a HYBRID play here tonight, as I expect he’ll be heavily owned as an SP2 on DraftKings along with Casey Kelly and Dan Straily.

Drew Gagnon ($7,900/$24) – Gagnon has massive K upside in every game he starts, as he is one of the very few pitchers in the KBO that averages close to 10K/9 IP (comes in at 9.7K/9 tonight). He has probably the 2nd highest ceiling of any pitcher on the slate, and he comes at a nice value compared to the rest of the guys on this slate. Gagnon is a GPP only option here tonight, as Kiwoom has been heating up, but the K upside is just what you need for an SP2 option on DraftKings.

Hitting STACKS

Here are several of my favorite hitting teams for tomorrow. For the purposes of this article, our hitter focus will revolve around teams to stack. You can also see a detailed look at individual hitters by gandering over to at our KBO Cheat sheets! The cheat sheets have core plays highlighted in blue as well as other cash and tournament options.

Tonight’s Cheatsheets are coming alive!  You have time to jump in, save hours of tedious research, and apply our help for the overnight slate.  You unlock core plays to build around, key pieces to stacks, great 4 and 5 star one-offs, and detailed coaching notes providing the why behind the play.

NC (vs Jong-Gi Park) – I expect a ton of runs to be scored in this game, as the top 2 offenses in the league face off here tonight. Neither of these pitchers are very good so I’ll gladly game-stack this game and have plenty of shares of both.

DOO (vs Jae-Hak Lee) –  See above, Lee has also been very up and down this year and doesn’t have the greatest track record here. I love both sides of the ball here tonight and like I stated above I’ll have plenty of shares of both of these teams here.

KIW (vs. Drew Gagnon) – I do like Gagnon here, as he does get a bunch of K’s but he definitely isn’t untouchable. Kiwoom has been heating up though and they have the ability to hit the long ball which was Gagnon’s weakness in the MLB, but not so much in the KBO here this year. I think he’s a bit overdue for some regression in that department and Kiwoom is the team that can do it.

KT (vs. Warwick Saupold) – Here’s my hedge stack of the night, as I recommended Saupold earlier in the article, but he’s been a bit up and down as of late, and he has the ability to get lit up. KT also put up 19 runs last night and they’ve been heating up since Kang returned from the DL.
