PITCHERS

Tonight we actually get a pretty solid pitching slate compared to last night, we have a few options we can go to here with some confidence and some really solid GPP options as well to pivot off of the chalk.

Chang-Mo Koo ($9,400/$30) – Happy Chang-Mo Koo day again! This guy is an absolute stud and he’ll be chalk around the industry, but for good reason. On the season, he is 5-0 with a 0.75 ERA/ 9.8K/9IP/ 0.69 WHIP/ and he’s only allowed 2 ER’s over his last 19 IPs which actually made his ERA go up, which is mind-boggling. The guy is absolutely the best pitcher in the KBO and I’ll be going heavy on him here, even more-so than the field. There are options to differentiate yourself here, but on both sites I think you eat the chalk as he’s still under priced on DraftKings. Koo is an ALL format type play, and borderline lock in play on FanDuel where you only get 1 SP. Love him here tonight and he’ll be chalky but for good reason, I’ll be getting a ton of ownership on him, even going above the field for exposure.

Tyler Wilson ($8,200/$26) – Wilson finds himself in a fantastic matchup tonight, as he gets to face off against this pathetic Hanwha team that simply can’t find themselves at all this year. Wilson has also already had success against them on the year, going 6 innings, allowing 0 ERs and K’ing 3 over 6 innings. I think he’ll be a popular option as an SP2 on DK in cash games here tonight. Wilson is an ALL type format play here tonight, as he is pretty safe given the matchup, but the upside isn’t as high as a guy like Gagnon or Straily.

Dan Straily ($7,600/$28) – I like him a lot more on DraftKings at his price, as he’s been a stud so far in the KBO. His overall W-L record doesn’t reflect it, but he’s currently sporting a 2.08 ERA, averaging just over 9K/9IP and he’s only allowed 2 ERs over his last 25 2/3 innings. He makes for a great all around play here as he’s been shutting everyone down, but the matchup is a bit difficult, but this Kiwoom team has been cold against RHPs. Straily makes for an ALL format type play as he’s been dealing over his last 4 starts, and this Kiwoom team has really been scuffling at the plate against RHPs.

Drew Gagnon ($7,800/$26) – Gagnon has the highest K upside of anyone on the slate as he averages 10K/9IP, but he doesn’t have the greatest of matchups against the best offense in the KBO right now, which is the NC Dinos. He’s going to be a nice GPP option that can get you leverage on the field, but be aware that this has blowup potential as well. He’s definitely worth taking a few shots on as an SP2 on DraftKings in your GPPs. Gagnon is going to be a GPP only play here tonight, as he has blowup potential but also has one of the highest ceilings on the night if he has on as he has the most K potential of any SP on the slate.

Hitting STACKS

Here are several of my favorite hitting teams for tomorrow. For the purposes of this article, our hitter focus will revolve around teams to stack. You can also see a detailed look at individual hitters by gandering over to at our KBO Cheat sheets! The cheat sheets have core plays highlighted in blue as well as other cash and tournament options.

Tonight’s Cheatsheets are coming alive!  You have time to jump in, save hours of tedious research, and apply our help for the overnight slate.  You unlock core plays to build around, key pieces to stacks, great 4 and 5 star one-offs, and detailed coaching notes providing the why behind the play.

DOOSAN (vs Yoon-Dong Heo) – Doosan has been too quiet despite a few good matchups in a row, and I’m waiting for that team that won us all a bunch of money earlier this year to starting swinging it like that again. The matchup is a bit tougher than it was last night, but I think they have success here once again.

LOTTE (vs Seung-Ho Lee) – There’s no way around it other than this Kiwoom team is struggling in every aspect right now, as they can’t stop anyone offensively or score either. Lee has an ERA hovering just above 6 and I like Lotte to continue their hot streak here tonight against another bad SP.

LG (vs Shi-Hwan Jang) – LG gets another fantastic matchup, especially if Ramos makes his return, that is something to keep an eye on here. Regardless, LG has been white hot at the plate even without Ramos, and while they don’t have big time power without him, they can string together rallies like nobodies business, and this matchup against Hanwha is another really good one for them as a team overall.

SK (vs Odrisamer Despaigne) – Turns out Despaigne is who everyone though he was before coming over to the KBO. He’s really struggled in his last few starts and I don’t see it getting better as this SK team is starting to heat up. He may spite us and throw a gem though so there is some more risk in this one if you are stacking against him.
