How To Play Rocket League DFS

What’s up boys, it is @LowOwnedWR, the one and only fantasy Rocket League coach here at DFS Army. You may be wondering “What is Rocket League?” “How to play rocket league?” or even just “How do I make money so my wife quits yelling at me for this” well I am going to try and go over all of that with you now.

What Is Rocket League?

Rocket League is a video game where up to 4 players play for what is for lack of better words “Car Soccer.” Players have 5 minutes (overtime if needed) to score goals and beat their opponent. There are Saves, Goals and Assists, for every goal there can only be 0-1 assists, the whole team is incapable of getting a point on each goal.

The Scoring System.

On DK there are bonuses for SOG (every 6 per game) Saves (every 3 per game) and Goals (every 3 per game) so you have to look for players who score points to go along with scoring goals (Goals are the most important but are also hard to project). That “Score Adjustment” you see can be summed up as this, say it is a best of 5 series, and a team wins 3-0, but another team won 3-2, the players who played 5 games will have more points than those who played 3, so DK takes their average score from the games and adds it on for each game they did not play. FanDuel offers 45 points for a winning team not playing and then 30 for a losing team not playing, which I find suboptimal compared to how DK does it, so play DK if you can. FanDuel is also offering a win bonus so it is more incentive to play players from good teams there.

How To Build A Line Up.

So here it is, the most important part of any DFS sport, line up construction. Luckily DFS Rocket League only has 4 roster spots so this is not a complicated process. The optimal 2 stack (2 players from 1 team) has always been in 1st place in GPPs, so stacking is important. Stacking in 3’s (3 players from 1 team) is not nearly as viable as one of your players is guaranteed to miss out on each goal scored (But 3’s are for sure more viable on the 2 game slates) . So the best build is usually going to be a 2-2 stack or a 2-1-1.
