Esports – LPL/LCK 4/12 2am ET

Notes for Tonight’s 4/12 LCK-LPL Slate

5 game slate tonight.

LPL

DMO (+155) vs SN (-215)

SN and DMO are 11th and 16th in the LPL respectively. They have both had some up and downs this season and neither have been consistent. SN have been a middle of the pack all season and have played like it. They have beat teams worse than them and lost to all teams above them. This could be a very bloody game as both these teams do like to fight. Suning have the better talent as far as individual skill goes and I think they are the better macro team. Both sides are targetable in this match though and I do like DMO as well for GPP. Suning is my pick to win but it could be rather close.

Players to watch (DMO): Gala. Xiaopeng, Xiye
Players to watch (SN): Huanfeng, Angel, SofM

FPX (-335) vs EDG (+235)

This is the game that could have sneaky upside. FPX have not hit their ideal fantasy point goals in a long time. They have crushed their opponents too hard and haven’t had a chance to even earn any kills. They did lose their last game to VG and GimGoon is back in the lineup for them tonight. GimGoon may not be a better player than Khan but FPX is a better team with GimGoon in the lineup. In a closer match against another good team I could see FPX scoring pretty well here. EDG are getting back into the flow of things with their original starting roster returning. They had a very clean game against LNG the other night and this roster does have serious potential. I think FPX will bounce back in a close game here and that contested upside could be very good for GPPs.

Players to watch (FPX): Doinb, Lwx, Tian
Players to watch (EDG): Scout, Hope, Jiejie

IG (-575) vs BLG (+355)

This is a pretty interesting game to target. IG are the big favourites here and they are coming off a crushing defeat to JDG. BLG are actually playing very well recently, they have played quality League of Legends with a decent amount of aggression from them and there is some potential they win this game especially with IG’s volatility. I can see BLG getting a game here but in the end I think IG will be the winner. IG are the much superior team at full strength but we never know when they will go full out or not. BLG are worth a shot in GPP for that reason but I don’t think it is extremely likely they can win the series.

Players to watch (IG): Rookie, TheShy, Puff
Players to watch (BLG): Fofo, Meteor, Jinjiao

LCK

DRX (-400) vs AF (+270)

DRX are an elite team. They barely won their last game against a rejuvenated DWG and it came down to a single hit on the nexus. They have been very good this season and consistent as well. AF have been the opposite, they have dealt with many roster and gameplay issues throughout the season and have gone from looking good to looking terrible varying week to week. Afreeca has a tendency to lose drafts extremely hard and against a team like DRX there isn’t much room for error. I will take DRX to win and I think they can 2-0 rather cleanly.

Players to watch (DRX): Deft, Chovy, Pyosik
Players to watch (AF): Mystic, Kiin

HLE (+450) vs GEN (-850)

GEN are still number one in the standings for the LCK. They have been consistent all season except against T1, and they have easily handled weaker teams for the most part. HLE are one of those weaker, bottom half of the table teams and they are wildly inconsistent. They have had a couple decent games recently and they are still fighting as best they can for seeding. I think GEN are the vastly superior team however and they should be able to 2-0 this game. HLE do give up a good amount of fantasy points so depending on whether or not GEN choose to be more aggressive they can put up a good score.

Players to watch: (GEN): Ruler, Bdd, Clid
Players to watch: (HLE): Haru, Vsta, Tempt

Favourite stacks: IG > FPX > SN > GEN > DRX > DMO > EDG > BLG > AF > GEN
