Esports – LPL 4/14 3am ET

Notes for Tonight’s 4/14 LPL 3am ET Slate

3 game slate tonight.

LPL

JDG (-550) vs RW (+335)

Important to note is that Holder and Wuming are both remaining starters for this game. RW are always an interesting underdog target since they love to fight. They have taken games over some very good opponents recently and Haro has stepped up massively since WeiYan was banned for match-fixing. Their style of play is entertaining to watch and helps make for high action games. JDG just look elite. I wouldn’t hesitate to put them as the 2nd best team in the LPL , and with Zoom back they have looked fantastic. JDG are excellent at skirmishes since Kanavi is so good at early game plays, and JDG overall have higher quality players. I will be taking JDG as an elite option in all formats, but RW is fine for GPP.

Players to watch (JDG): Kanavi, Loken, Zoom
Players to watch (RW): Haro, Zwuji

VG (-245) vs SN (+175)

Both these teams are technically still in the playoff hunt and while SN are kind of a long shot to make it they will still be playing like they can. VG have had a very tough schedule recently are are still putting up good performances. Vici are a better macro team and play the map much better than SN. SN just wants to fight you all game long and if VG plays smart and disciplined they will have the advantage. Vici are not the best team ever however and they have flaws. I would say VG will probably win this game and that makes them a cash play, but the upside on SN is great for GPP. This game could be higher scoring than expected as VG have been relatively more aggressive than we would expect, and SN is just a fighting machine.

Players to watch (VG): iBoy, Forge, Cube
Players to watch (SNM): Huanfeng, Angel, SwordArt

LGD (-150) vs BLG (+110)

This should be a good series to watch. Both these teams have picked up their play recently. LGD play a hyper aggressive early game snowball type of style led by Peanut and it has been very effective in recent weeks. Watching Peanut in this form is great to see again after a couple average splits in Korea and Kramer has been excellent for them on the Senna. BLG have been excellent recently themselves as well. They almost beat IG and did take town TES 2-0. These are not easy teams to take wins off of and BLG did just that. BLG are still playing rather controlled, but with a more uptempo style with more early game pro-activity. This has helped them in the long run and Meteor is doing work for them. This game could be very bloody as well and both sides make good targets. I picked BLG to win due to their game-plan being one that is more consistent. I am not sure how LGD will react if Senna is taken away and their super snowball style doesn’t work. BLG almost took care of IG who are similar to LGD and I while I still expect a close one tonight, I like BLG to win.

Players to watch (LGD): Peanut, Kramer, Yuuki
Players to watch (BLG): Meteor, Fofo, Jinjiao

Favourite stacks: JDG > VG > BLG > SN > LGD > RW
