Esports – LPL 4/13 3am ET

Notes for Tonight’s 4/13 LPL 3am ET Slate

3 game slate tonight.

LPL

OMG (+150) vs ES (-210)

Let’s start with OMG. They are an individually skilled team that has very skilled players in their lanes. They are not a good macro team and often make a lot of mistakes there causing them to lose the game. They have struggled against top teams this season and are a decent middle of the table team. Estar are not the greatest individual players (besides Cryin) but their teamwork is excellent. They play with a rapid aggression and will hope to run you over early and continue stomping you while you’re down until the game ends. These styles are very different and it can really go either way dependant on those styles. While I personally think Estar’s aggressive map play is going to prevail over OMG’s individual skill there is potential for OMG. If OMG can slow the game down to their pace and avoid Estar’s early aggression it will bode well for them. OMG are the top GPP option tonight and definitely the most viable dog on the slate.

Players to watch (OMG): H4cker, icon, Smlz
Players to watch (ES): Cryin, Wink, ShiauC

LNG (+290) vs RNG (-450)

LNG are starting Chenlun17 and also Light again. Chenlun is a relatively unknown player who will be playing his first LPL game tonight after spending his entire pro career in the developmental league. I wouldn’t expect too much from him. With Asura and now Flandre out of the roster, they have lost 2 of their more skilled players. This makes it much easier to roster RNG after they have had some pretty bad losses recently. LNG typically do not play aggressive at all, and that is how most teams punish RNG. RNG have shown  they can play aggressively so I think if anything this will allow them to switch it up and dominate LNG. I think RNG should have this one. LNG is playable in GPPs but I like them a lot less than OMG.

Players to watch (LNG): Maple, Light
Players to watch (RNG): Langx, Betty, Xiaohu

TES (-2500) vs V5 (+800)

The main story-line and main chalk of the night will be from this game. Jackeylove and yuyanjia are playing for TES and they are both cheaper than other favourite prices. TES is in the best game environment of the night as V5 play horrible and they like dying while doing so. While Jackeylove will be the main story tonight, Knight is still their “best” player and how they usually win games. I wouldn’t doubt seeing JL in a supportive role tonight and letting Knight take the reigns while he gets acclimated to the team. Either way TES are elite targets tonight and rightfully so. V5 don’t have much of a shot here and I would fade them completely unless you are making 150+ lineups.

Players to watch (TES): Knight, Jackeylove, Karsa
Players to watch (V5): y4, mole

Favourite stacks: TES > RNG > ES > OMG > LNG > V5
