Esports – LEC/LCS 11 AM ET Playoff Slate 4/4

Notes for Today’s 11am ET LEC/LCS Playoff Slate

2 Game Playoff (Best of 5) Slate

Games

FNC (-245) vs OG (+175) – Note this line has moved in Fnatic’s favour since yesterday

I touched on this game yesterday and my thoughts remain similar to that today. OG are typically very good against weaker teams as they play a controlled and objective focused style. They have always struggled against teams like FNC and G2 because they both push the tempo and cause chaos in the game. Origen have typically not handled this well, although they did beat Fnatic in a playoff series last year. Fnatic have all the skill to match Origen one on one, and I think they have the match-up edge. If Origen continue doing the same thing and hope it will consistently work against Fnatic/G2 I don’t think they will be successful. Fnatic have typically always had Origen beat, and their style of play is a massive advantage for them.

Players to watch (FNC): Rekkles, Bwipo, Nemesis
Players to watch (OG): Upset, Alphari, Xerxe

FLY (+150) vs EG (-210)

Flyquest have really fallen off since their hot start. PowerOfEvil was looking like an MVP candidate for most of the split, but came back down to Earth in these last few weeks. FLY has taken losses to GG, 100T, etc. Those were all winnable games that should have been in their favour, but they are just not as proactive as they used to be earlier in the split. EG on the other hand have been playing very good. They started heating up at the right time, and besides a loss to C9, they have been really solid. Pretty close game especially if FLY step up their game a bit, but I will take EG.

Players to watch (FLY): PowerOfEvil, Santorin, Wildturtle
Players to watch (EG): Jiizuke, Bang, Zeyzal

Favourite stacks: FNC > EG > FLY > OG
