Esports – CBLOL 4/17 12pm ET

Notes for Today’s 4/17 12pm ET CBLOL Slate

4 Game Slate. If you really want something to gamble on this is just what the doctor ordered. Best of 1 Brazilian League of Legends. I do not have a full database for this league as I do for other leagues but I have watched a good amount of CBLOL and will give my thoughts/picks for this slate. A lot of these games have close odds so pretty much all teams are in play, but you have to pick a side somewhere. No starting lineups are released for this league either so similar to LCK, try and focus on players without substitutes.

CBLOL

FUR (+112) vs PRG (-150)

Expected Starters (FUR): Tyrin, Minerva, Anyyy, Alternative, Damage
Expected Starters (PRG): fNb, Yampi, Aloned, Garo, Wos

FUR are 7-8 on the season and PRG are 8-7. FURIA is in 5th and PRG is in 4th. Top 4 is the cutoff for the playoffs for CBLOL so this game is very important and has a major impact for both teams. These teams have played each other twice this season with a split season series between them. One thing to note is blue side advantage in the CBLOL is very important, after looking through most of the games Blue side has a massive win rate boost over Red in CBLOL. PRG are blue here and are better at playing objectives as a team than FUR. I will take PRG to win this one.

Players to watch (FUR) Alternative, Anyyy
Players to watch (PRG): Alone, Yampi, fNb

PNG (-158) vs INTZ (+109)

Expected Starters (PNG): yang, SeongHwan, tinowns, brTT, Key
Expected Starters (INTZ): Tianci, Shini, Hauz, micaO, RedBert

Pain Gaming (PNG) are 9-6 for the split and INTZ is 6-9. These teams have also played each other twice, and in both match ups Pain has won. Pain has some notable players on their team, including famous Brazilian star ADC brTT and 2 Korean imports (SeongHwan and Key). Both of these Koreans have played in the LCK before and stack up very well in the Brazilian league. INTZ is on the blue side in this game but they also lost to Pain in their first blue side match-up as well. I like Pain Gaming to take this one. INTZ also runs a lot of substitutes so it can be hard to tell who will play on any given day.

Players to watch (PNG): SeongHwan, Key, TinOwns
Players to watch (INTZ): Shini, Hauz

KBM (-246) vs RDP (+179)

Expected Starters (KBM): Parang, Wiz, Tutsz, Disave, Ceos
Expected Starters (RDP): Glowcore, Sephis, Kraystel, Patrick, BocaJR

Both these teams are pretty bad. KBM are 5-10 on the season and RDP are 4-11. These teams have also split the season series against each other. Both teams won their blue side match-up and RDP has blue side here. KBM have yet to win a game on red side all season so I will take the underdog in this game. KBM are the biggest favourites on this slate surprisingly even though both these teams are pretty terrible. It is probably inflated a bit because KBM beat Vivo Keyd (VK) recently but between these two bottom of the barrel teams I will take the dog if I had to choose. Both teams are in play of course since this game could swing either way.

Players to watch (KBM): Parang, Ceos, Wiz
Players to watch (RDP): Sephis, BocaJR, Patrick

VK (-120) vs FLA (-115)

Expected Starters (VK): Robo, Grell, NOsFerus, Klaus, Professor
Expected Starters (FLA): WoofE, Ranger, Goku, Absolut, Jojo

Just like we had a battle of the bottom feeders in previous match, here we have a battle of the two top teams in the league. VK are 11-4 and FLA are 10-5 this season. This is the match with the highest projected kills and these two are also the most bloody teams in the region. This will be a big game to target for DFS. The teams have split the season series as well with both teams winning on blue side. This game is virtually a 50/50 so FLA having blue side is a big advantage for them. I slightly lean FLA for this reason but once again this game is basically a pick’em so you can use either side.

Players to watch (VK): Grell, NOsFerus, Professor
Players to watch (FLA): Ranger, Absolut, Goku
