Full Court Press:

Atlanta Hawks @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: 245.5

Vegas Spread: Was -3.0

We start this slate off with a MASSIVE implied total at 245, this game should be a gold mine for DFS, as both teams play very fast and with zero defense, so let’s get started. We will start with the Wizards, Bradley Beal has a huge price tag right now, but it doesn’t come without warrant. He has at least 50 DraftKings points in six of his last seven games and scored 53.75 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. He’s playing all the minutes he can handle right now and in this spot, he’s an elite option here. Davis Bertans has at least 31 fantasy points in three straight games and if he can get hot from behind the arch always has a chance to hit GPP value. Rui Hachimura is getting good minutes and performing better as of late, I like him against the Hawks with Capela still out this team is undersized. With Ish Smith still out, Shabazz Napier should start at point guard and play some productive minutes against this bad Hawks team. I was all over him last time out and I’ll go right back to the well here. From the Hawks, Trae Young at under $10k against one of the worst defensive teams in the league? Yes, please! He’s averaging 56.5 DraftKings points per game in two games against the Wizards this season and may get overlooked due to a dud last game. That said, he was pulled early in that game due to blowout and I don’t expect that to be the case here, he’s one of my favorite plays on the slate. John Collins is playing big minutes as well and with Capela still out his rebound equity is very high, I like him against a team that has struggled against big men all season long. You can go right back to Kevin Huerter here, he’s playing big minutes and really fills up the stat sheet although most people view him as pretty scoring dependent. Lastly, De’Andre Hunter seems to be hitting his stride as of late and playing some nice minutes, he makes perfect sense here at sub $5k.

5-star play: Bradley Beal, Trae Young, Shabazz Napier

4-star play: Rui Hachimura, Davis Bertans, John Collins, Kevin Huerter, De’Andre Hunter

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Davis Bertans, De’Andre Hunter

Oklahoma City Thunder @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 219.0

Vegas Spread: Okc -7.0

Starting with the Thunder, Chris Paul is a fine option here, I don’t love the price and don’t really think they need him to beat the Knicks, that said, he’ll still get his minutes. I just think there are better options out there. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a bit all over the place right now, that said he should be able to rack up the ancillary stats in this one that helps him push the scales. This is a phenomenal matchup for Steven Adams, although the minutes are very funky as of late, I would guess due to blowout but still something to monitor. Lastly, Dennis Schroeder and Danilo Gallinari make sense as GPP options as well. From the Knicks, Julius Randle gets a very tough matchup here, much like the rest of the team, he’s a deep GPP option only for me as Adams is one of the best interior defenders in the league. Elfrid Payton bounced back nicely after a dud against the Rockets, I like him here, as his price has come down and is capable of dropping a triple-double every time he takes the court. RJ Barrett has scored at least 28 DraftKings points in four straight games, there’s nothing I love about him here, but he’s playable for GPPs just don’t pair him with Payton. Lastly, Mitchell Robinson is considered questionable for this game. If he’s available I would assume he gets good run as they’ll need his size for Adams and would make a lot of sense for GPPs in hopes he can stay out of foul trouble.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Chris Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Elfrid Payton, Julius Randle

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Danilo Gallinari, Dennis Schroeder, Mitchell Robinson, RJ Barrett

San Antonio Spurs @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Spurs, it sounds like LaMarcus Aldridge will miss this game again, here is how the rest of the team shakes out with him off the court this season…

  • DeMar DeRozan – 30.6% usage rate; 1.21 fpm
  • Rudy Gay – 23.2% usage rate; 1.06 fpm
  • Trey Lyles – 15.1% usage rate; 0.85 fpm

DeRozan would be favorite play on the team as the Nets are pretty bad on defense and the offense will run through him. I also love targeting centers against the Nets, so Trey Lyles makes a lot of sense as well as he’ll play all the minutes he can handle in this one. From the Nets, Caris LeVert went bananas against the Celtics the other dropping 66.5 fantasy points and 51 real-life points. He followed that up with a shortened game against the Grizzlies due to a blowout. He’s shown to be volatile but with Kyrie off the court, he is no stranger to touching the ball. He’s an elite play here and is far too cheap. Spencer Dinwiddie has at least 49 fantasy points in two of his last four games. He’s a nice option too, as he scored nearly 50 fantasy points on the Spurs earlier this season. That said, do not pair the two! That about wraps up my interest from this team unless you want to take a GPP dart on Joe Harris or Taurean Prince.

5-star play: DeMar DeRozan, Caris LeVert

4-star play: Trey Lyles, Spencer Dinwiddie

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Joe Harris, Taurean Prince

Orlando Magic @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 234.5

Vegas Spread: Orl -2.0

Starting with the Magic, Nikola Vucevic is in a great spot here. He’s scored at least 50 DraftKings points in three of his last four games and put up a 50 burger against the Wolves earlier this season. The Wolves just don’t have enough size to compete with him and in a pace up spot I like Vucevic quite a bit here. Aaron Gordon seems to have come back down to Earth a bit over his fast couple games. That said, he scored 56.75 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season, it’s an elite spot if you can stomach the asking price. Terrence Ross is a professional bucket-getter, no he won’t shoot 80% from three again here but in a good matchup, I have no issue going here in GPPs. Markelle Fultz is priced right about where he should be, I don’t see myself getting a whole lot of him on a bigger slate. Lastly, Evan Fournier makes for a nice secondary option and is in better form as of late. From the Wolves, D’Angelo Russell isn’t in the best form, but with Towns still out he has a 28% usage rate and 1.32 fantasy points per minute, you can make a case for him in GPPs. Malik Beasley continues to play great basketball, I would expect this to continue making him a great cash option in his price range. Juancho Hernangomez is also in good form and has at least 32 DraftKings points in three of his last four games, he’s worth a look here as well. Naz Reid has back-to-back 40 points fantasy nights and is worth a look here, they’ll need his size for Vucevic.

5-star play: Nikola Vucevic

4-star play: Malik Beasley, Juancho Hernangomez, D’Angelo Russell, Naz Reid, Aaron Gordon

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Juancho Hernangomez, Aaron Gordon, Terrence Ross, Markelle Fultz

Utah Jazz @ Boston Celtics

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell has been pretty good as of late, it’s not the best matchup but with all the injuries the Celtics have he makes sense. He scored 50.75 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. I don’t necessarily love the price tag but he’s a fine GPP option. Rudy Gobert has back to back games with at least 42 DraftKings points, the Celtics don’t have much in his way in the frontcourt, I like him as well for cash games. Bojan Bogdanovic followed up his huge game with 33 fantasy points, I like going right back to him here if you fall in this price range, but not a guy that I’m prioritizing. Mike Conley is starting to see his price come up and is probably right where he should be now, he’s still viable for cash games, with that being said. From the Celtics, both Jaylen Brown and Gordon Hayward will be out for this game, here is how the rest of the team shakes out with these guys off the court…

  • Jayson Tatum – 36.4% usage rate; 1.42 fpm
  • Kemba Walker – 30.1% usage rate; 1.29 fpm
  • Marcus Smart – 19.1% usage rate; 0.85 fpm

These are the three guys I would be biggest on from this team, particularly Tatum if we see that Kemba is still on a minutes limit (he played 23 last time out).

5-star play: Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, Jayson Tatum

4-star play: Marcus Smart, Kemba Walker, Mike Conley, Bojan Bogdanovic

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Daniel Theis

Indiana Pacers @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Pacers, Domantas Sabonis should be able to do what he wants here, this Bulls frontcourt is not very good, to put it bluntly. He’s playing massive minutes right now and makes a lot of sense here. This team is very banged up, Malcolm Brogdon is out for this game while TJ Warren and Victor Oladipo are both questionable. We will need to wait for some more clarity to really breakdown this team, but for the time being, Sabonis will benefit more if any more of these guys sit, and the bench guys will be determined as we get more insight from the team. Lastly, Myles Turner is always on my GPP radar due to his ability to rack up blocks, he’s also in great form as of late. From the Bulls, Zach LaVine will miss this game, here is how the rest of the team shakes out with him off the court this season (along with Kris Dunn, Luke Kornet, and Chandler Hutchinson)…

  • Coby White – 27.5% usage rate; 0.99 fpm
  • Thad Young – 23.2% usage rate; 1.01 fpm
  • Denzel Valentine – 25.1% usage rate; 1.11 fpm

These are going to be the guys that I have the most interest in. I’m willing to go a little higher on White as well, I don’t think that 0.99 fpm is very representative of what he has done over the past few weeks. In fact, if we take those guys off the court over the past two weeks, Coby White has an insane 38.9% usage rate and 1.46 fantasy points per minute. I want to like him more but we have seen this Pacers team smother opposing guards lately, I’ll be more on him if Oladipo and Warren are out. Wendell Carter is slowly seeing his minutes come back, I wish he was a little cheaper, but I’ll likely wait for his minute restriction to be lifted before I go to him. Lastly, Tomas Satoransky and Thad Young both make for fine secondary GPP options.

5-star play: Domantas Sabonis

4-star play: Indiana TBD, Coby White, Tomas Satoransky

Deeper Value: Indiana TBD, Denzel Valentine

GPP Sleeper: Indiana TBD, Thad Young

Miami Heat @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total: 235.5

Vegas Spread: Nop -1.5

Starting with the Heat, Bam Adebayo scored 51.5 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season, it’s a pace up spot and should be a fun matchup between him and Zion, I like him for GPPs. Jimmy Butler has been held under 40 fantasy points in five straight games and just hasn’t shown a big enough ceiling as of late for me to love going here, he’s more of a secondary cash option. That said, he did score 50 fantasy points in this spot earlier this season. Guys like Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, and Jae Crowder are secondary GPP plays with both Butler and Adebayo active. From the Pels, Jrue Holiday will likely draw Jimmy Butler on defense which is enough to get me off of him here on a big slate. Zion Williamson saw his price come down a bit since last game, I don’t mind the matchup here he makes a ton of sense for cash games. Brandon Ingram has gone back to playing nearly 40 minutes per game, I don’t love the price on him but anyone playing that kind of minutes that has the talent that he has is worth a GPP look at the very least. Lonzo Ball is really the only other guy I have an interest in here. He has three straight games with at least 50 fantasy points but shot 7-10 and 7-11 from three in his last two games which isn’t sustainable obviously. I don’t hate going back to him here if you think he can keep the heater going

5-star play: Bam Adebayo, Zion Williamson

4-star play: Jimmy Butler, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, Jae Crowder, Jrue Holiday

Memphis Grizzlies @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

It feels like these two teams play each other 4 times per week, maybe it’s just me… Starting with the Grizzlies, Jonas Valanciunas has at least 49 DraftKings points in two of his last four games. That said, he’s averaging just 20 per game against the Mavs in two games this season. Both Jaren Jackson and Brandon Clarke will be out again for this matchup. Kyle Anderson will likely continue to start but just never a guy that I will get to, he’s torturous to watch. Dillon Brooks has dropped off a bit since I’ve been touting him up, the shot attempts and minutes have fallen off, but this is solely because they have blown out the Nets, Hawks, and Lakers in three straight games. I love the idea of buying low on him here. Lastly, Ja Morant has been pretty volatile as of late, he’s more of a GPP option, but it is worth noting that he’s back under $7k again. From the Mavericks, Luka Doncic and Tim Hardaway are both questionable here, keep an eye on their statuses as we move later in the day tomorrow. If they sit it would open up a ton of minutes in the backcourt, but the real winner would be Kristaps Porzingis who is playing out of his mind right now. He has at least 66 DraftKings points in two straight games and sees the usage funnel to him any time Luka is out. He would become one of the top plays on the slate if Luka is out. Other guys that would benefit from these guys being out would be Seth Curry and Delon Wright, Curry is dominating right now and has at least 34 fantasy points in three straight games.

5-star play: Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis (if Doncic is out), Seth Curry (if either Doncic or Hardaway is out)

4-star play: Dillon Brooks, Ja Morant, Seth Curry (if both Doncic and Hardaway are in)

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Delon Wright, Jonas Valanciunas

Portland Trailblazers @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Blazers, Damian Lillard played 32 minutes in his first game back from injury so it seems like he won’t have any kind of restrictions going forward. This is an elite matchup for him and is averaging 44.3 DraftKings points per game against the Suns this season in two games. Lillard being back takes me off of CJ McCollum at this price tag, I will wait for his price to come back down to where it should be with Lillard on the court. I love Hassan Whiteside in this spot, I don’t love the price tag, but he’s been playing great basketball and the lane should open up a bit more with Lillard back. Carmelo Anthony should lose a few shots but he is still a fine GPP option. From the Suns, Devin Booker vs Damian Lillard should be a fun one. Booker dropped 50 fantasy points in this matchup earlier this season and I love going back to him here especially in GPPs. DeAndre Ayton is doubtful here meaning a combination of Aron Baynes and Cheick Diallo will start here, neither have been playing any minutes really at all. Keep an eye throughout the day and see if we get a starter listed, one of these guys will be a great value option. Ricky Rubio continues to play basketball and is priced fair, I like him as a secondary option.

5-star play: Damian Lillard, Devin Booker

4-star play: Hassan Whiteside, Ricky Rubio

Deeper Value: Suns starting center

GPP Sleeper: Trevor Ariza, Carmelo Anthony, CJ McCollum

Milwaukee Bucks @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total: 227.5

Vegas Spread: Lal -1.0

We finish off the night with the game of the night in terms of actual basketball, we could have a potential finals preview here, let’s break it down. Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 64.3 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season in 32 minutes. I would expect him to get his full minutes again here, he’s an elite play per usual. Khris Middleton has seen his price come way down and is back in the playable range. I like him to take some of the focus off Giannis here and makes perfect sense as an option. Eric Bledsoe bounced back nicely last game, I like him a lot more if George Hill misses this game, it would secure his minutes. Lastly, Brook Lopez feels too cheap here, he scored 31.5 DraftKings points in this spot last time out, I like him a good deal. From the Lakers, it’s really just LeBron James and Anthony Davis here for me, both guys are elite plays but I would tend to lean Davis here as he’s cheaper with similar upside. LeBron scored 56.5 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season while Davis scored 65, take that for what it’s worth.

5-star play: Giannis Antetkounmpo, LeBron James, Anthony Davis

4-star play: Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez
