Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides, that said, we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Michael aka @MadnessDFS on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Before I get started, make sure to check out the latest new DFS website. SuperDraft is an innovative new DFS site that does not have salaries but instead uses a multiplier system and better yet, THEY HAVE LATE SWAP! Check out more on how it works below!

Full Court Press:

Houston Rockets @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: 230.5

Vegas Spread: Hou -10.0

Starting with the Rockets, James Harden scored 61 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season. He’s had two down games over the past two games, but I would think he tries to show up at the Garden, I like him at a decreased price tag. Russell Westbrook is smoking hot, going for at least 62 DraftKings points in two straight and is right there with Harden as a top play on this team. He played a boatload of minutes against the Celtics, 43 to be exact, I like him here as well. The last guy I have interest in on this team is Robert Covington who I love in this role on this team, he’ll shoot three’s and grab a bunch of boards as this team has no center. From the Knicks, Julius Randle scored 38 DraftKings points in this matchup last time out and is a matchup that I think he can excel in. The Rockets are going small, so if the Knicks decide to counter that could mean a lot of minutes for Randle at the five. Elfrid Payton is a triple-double threat every time he takes the court, that said he had an off game last time out, more of a GPP option on a full slate than anything. RJ Barrett is kind of meh for me, more of a secondary play. Lastly, Mitchell Robinson is coming off a huge game against the Bulls, I don’t know that they’ll need him here but he did score 36.5 DraftKings points in 26 minutes in this matchup about a week ago.

5-star play: James Harden, Russel Westbrook, Julius Randle

4-star play: Elfrid Payton, Robert Covington, Mitchell Robinson

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Elfrid Payton, Mitchell Robinson, RJ Barrett

Portland Trailblazers @ Orlando Magic

Vegas Total: 222

Vegas Spread: Orl -7.0

Starting with the Blazers, CJ McCollum scored 50 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and has at least 53 DraftKings points in three of his last four games. While Lillard is still out he will continue to run the offense and is a solid play even in a pace down spot. Hassan Whiteside is right there with him, he was on his way to a huge game last time out but ended up with 47 DraftKings points, which is still very solid. I don’t love the matchup, but with Lillard out, he has more shot equity as well. Carmelo Anthony is a fine GPP option, he just makes me so nervous, he needs to shoot well in order to pay off GPP value and that’s not something I really want to go too heavy on. That said, he’s playing a ton of minutes and has a 25.3% usage rate without Lillard out there. Trevor Ariza is playing all the minutes he can handle right now and makes sense as a mid-range option. From the Magic, this is a spot where I will like Nikola Vucevic. I have streamed centers against Hassan Whiteside all season long and I won’t be stopping here, Vucevic scored 57 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and feels too cheap here. Aaron Gordon finally came back to Earth last game but still has at least 53 DraftKings points in three of his last four games, I don’t hate him but his price is getting up there. Markelle Fultz is priced right about where he should be, I don’t see myself getting a whole lot of him on a bigger slate. Lastly, Evan Fournier makes for a nice secondary option and is in better form as of late.

5-star play: Nikola Vucevic, CJ McCollum, Hassan Whiteside

4-star play: Carmelo Anthony, Aaron Gordon, Evan Fournier

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Trevor Ariza, Markelle Fultz

Utah Jazz @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total: 219

Vegas Spread: Utah -8.5

Starting with the Cavaliers, Andre Drummond was a guy that I went nearly all-in on on Saturday when we found out Tristan Thompson was out. If the plan is to sit one of these guys every game going forward then the guy who’s active will simply get all the minutes. I doubt that’s the plan but Thompson is out again here, I’ll go right back to Drummond even in a tough matchup. Kevin Love’s minutes have been all over the place as well, maybe we chalk this up to a new coach, but he scored 48.5 DraftKings points on Saturday but is more of a GPP option in this matchup. Collin Sexton is getting all the minutes he can handle, but again tough matchup.  Lastly, Larry Nance is not in good form over his last couple games, he’s not a guy I’ll get to on a decent sized slate. From the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is on a heater right now, he has at least 42 DraftKings points in four straight games and in a good matchup against the Cavs I don’t blame you if you want to go right back to him here. Drummond has actually been pretty terrible on defense so if you want to go with Rudy Gobert here I don’t blame you one bit, that said he’s not in the greatest of form. Bojan Bogdanovic really isn’t in good form either, he’s more of a deep GPP play in this spot. I’m not sure what it will take for Mike Conley to see a price increase but he has at least 28 DraftKings points in three of his last four, he’s a nice play again here.

5-star play: Andre Drummond, Donovan Mitchell

4-star play: Kevin Love, Rudy Gobert, Mike Conley

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Collin Sexton, Bojan Bogdanovic

Milwaukee Bucks @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is coming off one of his best games of the season last night in which he went for 41 points and 20 rebounds on his way to 77.5 DraftKings points. The guy is unstoppable and an elite option every night. Khris Middleton missed the past two games with a neck injury, but they do feel more cautious than anything, I think he suits up in a big Eastern Conference game. I would expect Jimmy Butler to be on him which makes me leave him for GPPs. Eric Bledsoe isn’t in the best form and in a tough matchup is a GPP play as well, he does have the upside, however. Lastly, Brook Lopez has at least 31 DraftKings points in two of his last three games, he makes sense as a GPP option as well. From the Heat, Bam Adebayo scored 49.3 DraftKings points in this spot earlier, the Bucks play at an extremely fast pace making this team pretty desirable especially the “actually” good players. Jimmy Butler has been very solid as of late but price about where he should be, he’ll have to take control of this offense if the Heat wants to win this one, he’s a nice cash option in a pace up spot. Guys like Goran Dragic, Kendrick Nunn, and Jae Crowder are secondary GPP plays with both Butler and Adebayo active.

5-star play: Giannis Antetkounmpo, Bam Adebayo

4-star play: Khris Middleton Jimmy Butler

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Eric Bledsoe, Brook Lopez, Kendrick Nunn, Goran Dragic, Jae Crowder

Memphis Grizzlies @ Atlanta Hawks

Vegas Total: 240.5

Vegas Spread: Atl -2.5

Ladies and gentlemen, this is it. This is DFS gold in the making right here. Two of the faster teams in the league with a close spread and an implied total of 240, woof. Starting with the Grizzlies, Jonas Valanciunas has at least 49 DraftKings points in two straight games and I’ll keep playing big men against this Hawks team until Capela comes back. I do worry a bit that he gets run off the court due to the pace of this game though. Both Jaren Jackson and Brandon Clarke will be out again for this matchup. Kyle Anderson will likely continue to start but just never a guy that I will get to, he’s torturous to watch. Dillon Brooks is playing great basketball and hasn’t really seen his price move, he’s a great option here and has shot at least 22 times in three straight games. Lastly, Ja Morant bounced back nicely against the Lakers and scored 59.5 DraftKings points, he’s an elite option here as well. From the Hawks, this is a similarly great spot for Trae Young. He has at least 48 DraftKings points in seven straight games and in a high pace game like this one, he’s an elite play. John Collins has flashed his huge ceiling as of late scoring at least 46 DraftKings points in three straight games, I would expect his rebound equity to stay increased while Clint Capela is still sidelined and is coming off a 50 point fantasy outing last game out against the Blazers. Kevin Huerter is playing all the minutes he can handle right now and makes for a great play in all formats coming off a 45 point fantasy night.

5-star play: Ja Morant, Dillon Brooks, Trae Young

4-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, John Collins, Kevin Huerter

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jonas Valanciunas, DeAndre Hunter

Dallas Mavericks @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Bulls, Zach LaVine scored 45.8 DraftKings points in this spot earlier this season and is playing nearly 40 minutes per game lately, he’s a great option. Coby White is on one hell of a heater, he has at least 42 DraftKings points in three of his last four games, he’s currently questionable, but if he suits up it’s tough not to like him. Thad Young has been kind of all over the place lately, but he’s shown a nice ceiling going for 40+ fantasy points a few times over the past week or so, he’s a fine option in this game. Lastly, just keep an eye out for who is all active here, this team is starting to get healthy again. From the Mavericks, Luka Doncic sat out yesterday’s game so keep an eye on his status, if he plays he’s an elite option and should be able to do what he wants here. If he’s out, we can go right back to Kristaps Porzingis who scored 75 DraftKings points in yesterday’s game and is an elite option any time Doncic misses as the offense runs through him. Both Tim Hardaway and Seth Curry would see a boost as well and a great matchup to round out this team. Guys like Delon Wright and JJ Barea are just too hard for me to trust with their minutes being volatile.

5-star play: Zach LaVine, Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis (If Doncic is out)

4-star play: Coby White, Tim Hardaway, Seth Curry, Kristaps Porzingis (If Doncic plays)

Deeper Value: Bulls starting center

GPP Sleeper: Tomas Satoransky, Thad Young, Delon Wright

Indiana Pacers @ San Antonio Spurs

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

We end the slate with an ugly one to say the least, but ya never know! From the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge is questionable here, but here is how the team shakes out if he should miss.

  • DeMar DeRozan – 32.9% usage rate; 1.29 fpm
  • Jakob Poeltl – 13.4% usage rate; 1.13 fpm
  • Rudy Gay – 23.1% usage rate; 1.07 fpm
  • Dejounte Murray – 21.1% usage rate; 1.14 fpm

Trey Lyles would also be a big beneficiary with Poeltl now sidelined (we also won’t get screwed by him anymore now that he’s out thank goodness). Lyles and Gay really picked up the slack last game and I would have no issue going right back to them even in a tough matchup should Aldridge sit again. From the Pacers, Domantas Sabonis has at least 54 DraftKings points in two of his last three games and gets a great matchup here. He’s an elite play and feels too cheap. Malcolm Brogdon has played well over his past two games, the Spurs sneakily struggle badly with point guards as well. Both TJ Warren and Victor Oladipo are GPP options and are coming off great games against the Cavs. Lastly, Myles Turner is always on my GPP radar due to his ability to rack up blocks.

5-star play: Domantas Sabonis

4-star play:  Malcolm Brogdon, DeMar DeRozan

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: TJ Warren, Victor Oladipo, Myles Turner, Rudy Gay, Dejounte Murray, Trey Lyles
