Full Court Press:

Dallas Mavericks @ Utah Jazz

Vegas Total: 225

Vegas Spread: UTH -4.0

Starting with the Mavericks, the main target you’re going to want in this game is Luka Doncic as he is playing really good basketball right now, and even with Kristaps Porzingis back, he’s still be playing at an elite level. Porzingis has a tougher matchup tonight, but he’s still in play for single game. Willie Cauley-Stein was also just traded to the Mavs, and if he clears his physical he’ll likely draw the start here as the Mavericks need bodies. If he doesn’t play, then it opens the door for Maxi Kleber to play big minutes as well. Tim Hardaway Jr. is also in play for GPPs but he’s very scoring dependent.

For the Jazz, Donovan Mitchell is way too cheap still, and even with Conley back he’s been starting at PG. Rudy Gobert continues to play 37-38 minutes per game and could be in store for another 20/20 game here, as the Mavs don’t have the size to matchup with him even if WCS plays, and he should feast on the boards.  Both Joe Ingles and Bojan Bogdanovic are playing well with Mike Conley coming off the bench and Royce O’Neale is also a decent value play as he’s been playing big minutes. I’ll have more interest in Conley is when he gets his starting role back.

5-star plays: Luka Doncic, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert

4-star plays: Kristaps Porzingis, Bojan Bogdanovic, Joe Ingles, Willie Cauley-Stein (if he plays), Maxi Kleber (if WCS sits)

Deeper Value: Joe Ingles, Royce O’Neale, Maxi Kleber, Mike Conley

GPP Sleeper: Joe Ingles, Mike Conley

Brooklyn Nets @ Detroit Pistons

Vegas Total: 227.5

Vegas Spread: BKN -2.0

For the Nets, Kyrie Irving is an elite play here, as he’s playing big minutes and the Pistons have been horrible at defending opposing PGs. With him and LeVert back that backcourt is now very crowded and limits Spencer Dinwiddie’s upside as well, but I do like Dinwiddie’s usage with the 2nd unit here. Jarrett Allen has been pretty up and down over the past week or so, but I like him as a GPP option here as the Pistons have no interest in playing defense, and he gets a boost if DeAndre Jordan sits again. Taurean Prince is always a GPP option at the very least due to the amount of stats he can produce across the board.

From the Pistons, Andre Drummond is a premier play here as Blake has basically been shutdown for the year so Drummond will handle the load offensively, and we all know the cheat code is to play bigs against the Nets, and he should be able to do whatever he wants here. Derrick Rose has been playing well recently, and he gets a solid matchup here, and that will be boosted with Luke Kennard out again tonight, and if Morris is out as well so we have some value opening up here from the Pistons in the form of Christian Wood and Sekou Doumbaya, although Doumbaya’s price has come up across the industry. Reggie Jackson makes sense as a deeper GPP play as well, but he is risky as he is scoring dependent but with Kennard out he sees a nice boost, and he has been playing pretty well since coming back from injury. If he sits then that puts Langston Galloway in play.

5-star play: Andre Drummond, Kyrie Irving

4-star play: Derrick Rose, Jarrett Allen, Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie

Deeper Value: Reggie Jackson, Sekou Doumbaya, Christian Wood

GPP Sleeper: Reggie Jackson, Christian Wood

Chicago Bulls @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total: 214.5

Vegas Spread: CLE -1.5

From the Bulls, Lauri Markkanen sat last night, and is a GTD again tonight, if he suits up he’s in play for me tonight. Zach LaVine is firmly in play here, as he should be able to do whatever he wants in this game as Cleveland has been getting torched guards all year long and he disappointed last night in a smash spot, so I have no problem going back to the well here tonight. Wendell Carter is still out for this game, and if Lauri sits as well that puts both Thad Young and Luke Kornet in play and Daniel Gafford would be in play for value as well if he suits up. Lastly, Tomas Satoransky has come down a bit over his past couple of games but I don’t hate the idea of going to him for GPPs if you land in that price range. Kris Dunn is also in play for value as Cleveland really does struggle against guards.

Starting with the Cavs, Kevin Love sees a really good matchup here, as the Bulls struggle against bigs, but especially ones that can stretch the floor. Tristan Thompson who has also been playing really well over the past few games and he draws a phenomenal matchup as the Bulls are near the bottom of the NBA at defending C’s. Collin Sexton and Darius Garland are both in play for GPPs. I like Sexton here more as he’s been playing really well as of late. Cedi Osman is also in play here, as Kevin Porter has been ruled out for the next 4-6 weeks and Larry Nance makes for a decent value play as well, but he’ll be a premier value play if Love ends up sitting for whatever reason.

5-star play: Kevin Love, Zach LaVine

4-star play: Tristan Thompson, Collin Sexton, Darius Garland, Lauri Markkanen

Deeper Value: Cedi Osman, Larry Nance, Thad Young, Luke Kornet

GPP Sleeper: Luke Kornet, Larry Nance

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 227.5

Vegas Spread: OKC -2.0

From the Thunder, Chris Paul continues to be a consistent producer and makes a lot of sense for cash games here, and he’ll go a little overlooked in the late game and the matchup is there against the Wolves who have struggled against PGs all year long. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is in a great spot here tonight as well and has been playing really well. Steven Adams should be a solid play here as well, as he is pretty cheap and draws a nice matchup against KAT. However, he sat out last night so that is something to keep an eye on. Lastly, Nerlens Noel will be another great value play if Adams ends up sitting again. Dennis Schroder and Danilo Gallinari also makes sense as GPP plays here.

From the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns is back and his minutes are trending upward. He still doesn’t look 100% to me, but if Adams is out he draws a really good matchup. Andrew Wiggins has found some consistency this season, he’s in a great spot here as well especially if KAT ends up sitting as he’ll dominate usage with the starters, although the ceiling hasn’t been there lately. Jarrett Culver has come back down to earth lately, but he’s in play for GPPs on a small slate. Shabazz Napier is also in play here, as he’s been starting at the point and with Teague gone it opens him up to 25+ minutes at what is still a discounted price, although the matchup isn’t the greatest.

5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

4-star play: Andrew Wiggins, Steven Adams, Chris Paul, Shabazz Napier, Danilo Gallinari

Deeper Value: Dennis Schroder, Jarrett Culver, Shabazz Napier

GPP Sleeper: Dennis Schroder

Los Angeles Lakers @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total: 218.5

Vegas Spread: LAL -4.0

From the Lakers, it’s pretty simple, it’s LeBron James and it’s Anthony Davis. Davis is a GTD once again, so if he sits then you can lock in LeBron at one of your SF positions as it is pretty thin there tonight. If Davis sits as well, Kyle Kuzma will draw the start and he’ll be a chalky, but good, value option as he’s been playing really well with Davis out. If Davis sits it also puts JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard both firmly in play, with my preference being Howard as he plays more minutes with AD out than McGee does. McGee also sat last game, so if he does so again then plug in Howard and move on.The other Lakers’ guards are all a crapshoot to figure out, so I’ll likely be avoiding it all together.

Starting with the Sixers, Joel Embiid has already been ruled out and is slowly coming back from that finger injury, leaving us with the big 3 of Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, and Al Horford. Simmons is going to be my favorite of the three as the Lakers don’t really have anyone that can matchup with him, aside from LeBron, but I don’t think he’ll guard him here. Tobias Harris also sees a nice usage boost here (+2.5%) and will take on more of a role offensively here, which raises his ceiling. The biggest beneficiary of Embiid’s absence will be Al Horford as he sees a 4.5% usage increase. Horford will be a much better play if Anthony Davis is ruled out. Josh Richardson has already been ruled out as well, which means Furkan Korkmaz also makes for a decent value play, as he has been shooting well and will see extra run if this turns into a blowout.

5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis (if he plays), Ben Simmons

4-star play: Tobias Harris, Al Horford, Kyle Kuzma, Dwight Howard

Deeper Value: Furkan Korkmaz, Dwight Howard

GPP Sleeper: Furkan Korkmaz, Dwight Howard
