Full Court Press:

Denver Nuggets @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: 209.5

Vegas Spread: Den -2.5

Starting with the Nuggets, I’ve been streaming big men against this Nets team all season and I don’t see myself stopping now. Nikola Jokic is coming off of a 56 point Draftkings game, I like him a good deal here. Jamal Murray struggled in his first outing against this Nets team, I don’t hate him as a bounceback candidate here for GPPs. Will Barton and Paul Millsap are fine secondary plays on a short slate, but not priorities while Gary Harris makes sense as a value play. From Brooklyn, Spencer Dinwiddie continues to put up big numbers in fill-in for Kyrie, but this is a difficult matchup and the price is high enough for me to go elsewhere. This is also a tough matchup for the priced up Jarrett Allen, I don’t love attacking Jokic, so I’ll fade him as well. Taurean Prince has played great basketball lately, he’s priced up but he makes sense as a GPP option, the same can be said for Joe Harris. DeAndre Jordan’s size may be needed against this big frontcourt of the Nuggets, I don’t hate throwing him in a GPP or two as a game script play.

5-star play: Nikola Jokic

4-star play: Spencer Dinwiddie, Jamal Murray, Will Barton, Paul Millsap, Taurean Prince, Joe Harris

Deeper Value: Gary Harris

GPP Sleeper: DeAndre Jordan, Spencer Dinwiddie

Atlanta Hawks @ Charlotte Hornets

Vegas Total: 224.5

Vegas Spread: Cha -4.5

Starting with the Hawks, Trae Young has 60+ Draftkings points in two of his last four games and matchups up with a Hornets team that I have no issue picking on here, I like him quite a big especially on the two-game early slate. If you’re playing that early slate, I would recommend loading up on this game as it will be the more DFS friendly game. Jabari Parker has really fallen on his face ever since having a career night against the Bucks, I can’t pay this price for him right now in anything other than a GPP flyer. Cam Reddish is fairly scoring dependent but I don’t hate taking a shot on him in a short slate. De’Andre Hunter is doubtful which will solidify both Reddish’s and Bembry’s minutes, both are solid value”ish” options. From the Hornets, Devonte’ Graham has seen his price come all the way up and is now at $9k on Draftkings, it isn’t without warrant though he is playing great basketball. The Hawks rank 28th in the league in defense against opposing point guards on the season, this makes Terry Rozier a solid play as well. I don’t hate PJ Washington but he’s more of a GPP guy for me, while Miles Bridges is more of a cash guy.

5-star play: Trae Young, Devonte’ Graham, Terry Rozier

4-star play: Jabari Parker, Cam Reddish, PJ Washington

Deeper Value: DeAndre Bembry

GPP Sleeper: PJ Washington, Cam Reddish, Jabari Parker

Los Angeles Clippers @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

There isn’t a total on this game yet, it wouldn’t surprise me to see one of the Clippers superstars sit here against a terrible Wizards team. That said, we will start with the Clippers and assume everyone is playing. Both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are in great spots here as the Wizards can’t stop anyone on defense. Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell are both secondary plays but great for GPPs, particularly Harrell as the Wizards are very short-handed in their frontcourt. From the Wizards, Bradley Beal is the man here but will likely get a lot of attention from this great Clippers defense. He’ll likely get the Kawhi treatment or the Paul George treatment or the Patrick Beverley treatment… name one… it’s not going to be a great matchup. That said, he is one of the best scorers in the NBA and is a great GPP option. I can’t believe the price on Davis Bertans but he has earned it, scoring 34+ Draftkings points in four straight games, they’ll need his scoring if they hope to pull an upset here. Rui Hachimura and Mo Wagner should play all the frontcourt minutes they can handle, they make sense as great cash options here and are fully blowout proof. Finally, with Isaiah Thomas still out you can still go right back to the Ish Smith train.

5-star play: Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Bradley Beal

4-star play: Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Rui Hachimura, Mo Wagner, Davis Bertans, Ish Smith

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Rui Hachimura, Mo Wagner, Davis Bertans, Ish Smith

Chicago Bulls @ Miami Heat

Vegas Total: 212

Vegas Spread: Mia -7.5

Starting with the Bulls, this is a tough matchup for Zach LaVine as the Heat will likely stick Jimmy Butler on him, he struggled with him last time out. Wendell Carter also struggled in this game last time out and feels a bit too expensive for me. Lauri Markkanen is finally in better form as he has 31+ Draftkings points in two of his last three games, I like the price on him here. Tomas Satoransky is coming off of a dud game but has been getting consistent minutes, I don’t hate going back to the well on him. From the Heat, I was all over Jimmy Butler last game and he went bananas, he now has 55+ Draftkings points in three straight games, I don’t hate chasing the points on this one. Bam Adebayo and Justise Winslow are both questionable for this game, for the sake of this article I’ll operate under the assumption that they are both in, but be sure to keep an eye on the Breaking News Tab and in slack. Bam is in a great spot here, however, the price has come way up, I hesitate paying that price on a guy who may not be fully healthy. Finally, both Winslow and Kendrick Nunn make sense as secondary options while Winslow is probably the better GPP guy.

5-star play: Jimmy Butler

4-star play: Tomas Satoransky, Lauri Markkanen, Bam Adebayo, Justise Winslow, Kendrick Nunn

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Lauri Markkanen, Zach LaVine, Wendell Carter

Toronto Raptors @ Philadelphia 76ers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread: Phi -3.0

Starting with the Raptors, Pascal Siakam feels way too cheap here he has a 29% usage rate on the season although it isn’t the best matchup. Kyle Lowry has returned from injury and is being thrown right back into 40ish minutes per game, he makes sense here as well. The return of Lowry hasn’t affected Fred VanVleet’s minutes as he is still getting around 40 per game, tough not to like the price on him. From the Sixers, Joel Embiid is expected back here but I don’t love the matchup here, I may just go with him in GPP today. Ben Simmons is in great form and is a triple-double threat every time he steps on the court, he’s a great play here. Both Tobias Harris and Al Horford feel a bit overpriced with Embiid now back, I’ll wait for that price to come back down. Josh Richardson is out again, my favorite value on this team is James Ennis who scored 23 Draftkings points last night.

5-star play:  Pascal Siakam, Ben Simmons

4-star play: Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, Joel Embiid

Deeper Value: James Ennis

GPP Sleeper: Tobias Harris, Al Horford

Sacramento Kings @ Dallas Mavericks

Vegas Total: 216

Vegas Spread: Dal -7.5

Starting with the Kings, Buddy Hield is the boom-or-bust guy on this team, but he plays massive amounts of minutes which keeps him in play for me and has been fairly consistent as of late. Bogdan Bogdanovic is considered probable for this game but just doesn’t feel healthy right now, I’ll use this game as a wait-and-see type of approach. Richaun Holmes has two straight games of at least 43 Draftkigns points, I like him against a fairly weak frontcourt of the Mavs. You can also throw Nemanja Bjelica and Harrison Barnes in that category as well, both have played well lately, but Holmes, Bjelica, and Barnes would all lose a few minutes if Marvin Bagley gets ruled in. From the Mavs, it’s really just two guys for me, Luka Doncic (obviously) and Kristaps Porzingis. Doncic has had back to back dud games but this is a nice bounceback spot for him, however, there is a case to be made to fade him at this price tag. Kristaps Porzingis hasn’t scored over 30 Draftkings points in six straight games, he feels way overpriced here, nothing that I want to touch at least.

5-star play:  Luka Doncic, Buddy Hield

4-star play: Richaun Holmes, Nemanja Bjelica, Harrison Barnes

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Kristaps Porzingis

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Portland Trail Blazers

Vegas Total: 223

Vegas Spread: Por -3.5

Starting with the Thunder, Chris Paul is coming off of a 50 burger and matches up with Damian Lillard so this may be a game he gets up for, I like Paul as a cash option at his price tag. Steven Adams is also coming off a 50 point game and gets a great matchup here against Hassan Whiteside, he is a great play. Danilo Gallinari and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander are both secondary options but both should see good matchups. Finally, Dennis Schroeder is more of a GPP play but a good one at that. From the Blazers, Damian Lillard has 48+ fantasy points in two straight games and the Thunder have struggled with point guards all season. Hassan Whiteside has been playing great basketball but this is a tough matchup for him, I may wait for a better matchup on him. As always, CJ McCollum is a GPP option for me, I never love running him when Lillard is active. Carmelo Anthony is getting a consistent 35 minutes per game, I like him for GPPs. Rodney Hood tore his achillies last game which should open up more minutes for Kent Bazemore in this one.

5-star play: Damian Lillard, Chirs Paul

4-star play: Danilo Gallinari, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, CJ McCollum, Kent Bazemore, Carmelo Anthony

Deeper Value: Kent Bazemore

GPP Sleeper: Kent Bazemore, Carmelo Anthony

Minnesota Timberwolves @ Los Angeles Lakers

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns is probable while Andrew Wiggins and Jeff Teague are both questionable. This team will be hard to gauge until we know who’s all active, but I will assume everyone is in for this one. This is a tough matchup for Towns but I still think he can rack up some points in a back and forth game against AD. Andrew Wiggins will matchup with LeBron who isn’t what he used to be on defense, he’s a solid play if he’s active. Jeff Teague feels too expensive here is everyone is active. Finally, Robert Covington makes sense for GPPs. We know the story with the Lakers, both LeBron James, and Anthony Davis are elite plays, picking which one to play on any given slate isn’t easy, you can’t go wrong with either of them. Rajon Rondo is a fine GPP play if you want to get more exposure to this game.

5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, LeBron James, Anthony Davis

4-star play: Rajon Rondo, Andrew Wiggins, Robert Covington

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Andrew Wiggins, Rajon Rondo, Jeff Teague
