Full Court Press:

Welcome to another year of the DFS Army NBA Full Court Press! Members had a ton of success using the Full Court Press along with various articles and tools that DFS Army provides, that said, we are glad to be back with another year of the all-inclusive article. You have to start your research somewhere, and oftentimes going game by game and breaking down every matchup and its key players is the first step in our process. My name is Steve aka @mutt_18  on Twitter, make sure to give me a follow as I’ll occasionally make updates to the advice in the article. But, you’ll mostly find me in our VIP coaching forums where I provide detailed lineup maneuvers and answer all lineup questions. With that said, let’s get it started!

Before I get started, make sure to check out the latest new DFS website. SuperDraft is an innovative new DFS site that does not have salaries but instead uses a multiplier system and better yet, THEY HAVE LATE SWAP! Check out more on how it works below!

Full Court Press:

Philadelphia 76ers @ Washington Wizards

Vegas Total: 234

Vegas Spread: PHI -7.5

From the Sixers, Joel Embiid is back over $10k after going for 55+ fantasy points in three of his last 4 games. He also gets a cake matchup here, as the Wizards have been bleeding FPs to opposing Centers all year long, as Bryant doesn’t have the size to matchup against many of them. Ben Simmons is coming off a great game last time out and is a triple-double threat every time he takes the court, I like him again here but may hold him for GPPs considering his price tag and the blowout risk. Tobias Harris and Al Horford are very similar to me this season, both are GPP plays in a really easy matchup against the Wizards horrible defense. Josh Richardson has already been ruled out for this one, which means Furkan Korkmaz will likely get the start, but James Ennis is the guy I will want from a DFS perspective.

This game is tied for the highest total on the slate so we will want to get some exposure here. Starting with Washington, Bradley Beal is priced up to where he should be finally especially for this matchup. With that being said, he’s going to have the ball in his hands a ton and could shoot 30+ times in this game. It’s also big games like this that he tends to go nuclear in, when people tend to think the Wizards will get blown out, but they tend to hang around and play everyone tough. Davis Bertans has been playing out of his mind lately and I like him quite a bit in an up-tempo game and he also won’t have to face the tough defense of the Sixers starting 5. Both Mo Wagner and Isaiah Thomas are GPP guys who could thrive in a fast game like this one but still just GPP guys at best. The guy I like here is Mo Wagner, as he can put up FPs in a hurry, however he was out last game so that’s something to keep an eye on. If Mo Wagner is ruled out again tonight, then lock and load Rui Hachimura as he’ll play close to 40 minutes again and is still too cheap.

5-star plays: Joel Embiid, Bradley Beal, Ben Simmons

4-star plays: Al Horford, Tobias Harris, Isaiah Thomas, Rui Hachimura

Deeper Value: Davis Bertans, Isaiah Thomas, Ish Smith, James Ennis

GPP Sleeper: James Ennis, Isaiah Thomas, Rui Hachimura

Houston Rockets @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total: 230.5

Vegas Spread: TOR -2

For the Rockets, it always is going to come down to whether you want to roster, Russell Westbrook or James Harden as the two of them still do eat into each others usage. Tonight is more of a Harden night in my opinion, as he tends to get up for big games like this, like we saw last game against the Spurs where he went nuclear. Clint Capela is expected to play tonight as well, and will draw a decent matchup, but not easy by any standard against Gasol. If both Eric Gordon and Danuel House are out again tonight, then you can go right back to the well with Ben McLemore who will once again play a ton of minutes, although I doubt he goes for 40+ FPs again as he did a few nights ago, but on a small slate he’d be one of the better value options.

Starting with the Raptors, Pascal Siakam now has been really consistent so far this year, but I don’t love his price on FanDuel, although it has come down a bit. He excels in faster paced games like this, and with Lowry back I think it’ll actually help take some of the offensive pressure off of him in what will be a very competitive game. Fred VanVleet is out of play for me right now with Lowry back, at least until his price comes back down. Kyle Lowry came back with a bang, and his price isn’t too bad either, but the Rockets have been surprisingly good at defending the PG position so far this year. He doesn’t have a minutes limit which is nice. Marc Gasol is also in play on a small slate as we have limited center options here tonight.

5-star play: Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Pascal Siakam

4-star play: Kyle Lowry, Clint Capela

Deeper Value: Ben McLemore (if House sits), Austin Rivers, Marc Gasol

GPP Sleeper: Austin Rivers

Denver Nuggets @ New York Knicks

Vegas Total: TBD

Vegas Spread: DEN -7.5

This game has one of the lowest totals on the night so I’m not going to be targeting it a ton. Nikola Jokic has been struggling big time in all aspects of the game, but maybe this is a matchup where he can get himself going again. Jamal Murray is also in play here, but he has been a little too scoring dependent for me as a PG. Gary Harris has been shooting the ball really well lately, and he’ll play a ton of minutes to matchup against Barrett. The guy I’m liking here is Will Barton as he has been playing really well lately, and his price isn’t too expensive. I like playing Paul Millsap against biggers 4s as well, and if the Knicks start Randle at the 4 it’ll be a really good matchup for Millsap.

Starting with the Knicks, if Marcus Morris misses another get then it’ll open up another start for Kevin Knox who actually played pretty well given the circumstances. If he is to miss again, I would assume Knox is the beneficiary. Julius Randle continues to play big minutes but is sort of bland in them, he’s a fine option in all formats and the matchup isn’t great downlow against this Nuggets frontcourt. RJ Barrett’s price has finally come up, I don’t hate him for GPPs but not someone that I’m seeking out. Dennis Smith Jr. will be another value play again if Ntilikina sits out again as well. Given this low total and two bland teams, I don’t think you need many pieces from this game.

5-star play: None

4-star play: Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, Paul Millsap

Deeper Value: Kevin Knox, Dennis Smith Jr. (if Morris and Ntilikina sit), Gary Harris

GPP Sleeper: Kevin Knox

Phoenix Suns @ New Orleans Pelicans

Vegas Total: 234

Vegas Spread: NOP -3.0

Now this is a nice hammer game to target. Starting with the Suns, Devin Booker is the most expensive guy on the team but this is due to the ceiling he has, not his floor. In a matchup like the one he has tonight, this could be one of his ceiling games as this Pelicans team doesn’t play defense and doesn’t defend the perimeter either. However, if you’re looking for safety at a position/salary Ricky Rubio has been the far more consistent player this season, although in bad form right now after returning from injury, but he played last night so I expect him to be good to go. Kelly Oubre is a guy that I like to get to in GPPs because of his massive ceiling, and he would see a solid boost if Rubio was to sit out this game. Dario Saric has been playing really well, but not if play Baynes suits up as he’ll end up splitting minutes with Kaminsky. Finally, if Aron Baynes is ruled out again tonight, it’ll open up a ton of minutes for Frank Kaminsky and it’ll also make Cheick Diallo playable again for value.

For the Pels, Brandon Ingram continues to play great and has 40+ FanDuel points in 6 of his last 8 and the two other games he didn’t, he scored 39.5 and 39.4 FPs, he’s about as consistent as they come right now and draws a solid matchup tonight, as the Pels will rely on his scoring to keep pace in this game. Jrue Holiday continues to play well but I think his ceiling is a little limited here if both Lonzo and Hart play. Derrick Favors is a GTD and his price is elevated still so I’m fading even if he plays. JJ Redick is also pretty cheap here, but I’ll like him more if Kenrich Williams is ruled out. Jahlil Okafor is also in play here, especially if Favors sits again. There’s a ton of options from this game, and we’ll want to target it with the highest total on the slate.

5-star play: Devin Booker, Brandon Ingram

4-star play: Jrue Holiday, Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, Frank Kaminsky (if Baynes sits)

Deeper Value: Dario Saric, Frank Kaminsky, Cheick Diallo, JJ Redick (if Kenrich sits), Jahlil Okafor

GPP Sleeper: Cheick Diallo, JJ Redick
