Full Court Press:

Boston Celtics @ Indiana Pacers

Vegas Total: 210

Vegas Spread: Ind -1.5

Starting with the Celtics, Gordon Hayward was the ultimate chalk last game due to his minuscule price tag but the sites were quick to adjust it (one game late, but whatever). It doesn’t sound like he’ll be on any type of minute restriction so he’s firmly in play here as he was one of the hotter players in the NBA before he went down. Kemba Walker has some pretty intense home/road splits this season and is averaging 12 more fantasy points more at home than on the road. I don’t know that it’s not just a fluke but it’s something to keep an eye on. Jayson Tatum has been in great form scoring 44+ Draftkings points in four of his last five games. Jaylen Brown is in pretty good form as well, he’s more of a GPP guy though. From the Pacers, Domantas Sabonis just continues to play great basketball, I won’t talk you off of him here. Malcolm Brogdon isn’t in the greatest of form but I don’t hate him as a secondary cash option. The rest of this team is deep gpp plays at best considering the matchup and their current form on a massive slate.

5-star play: Gordon Hayward, Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum, Domantas Sabonis

4-star play: Jaylen Brown, Malcolm Brogdon

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: TJ Warren, Jeremy Lamb

Los Angeles Lakers @ Orlando Magic

Vegas Total: 213

Vegas Spread: Lal -7.5

Starting with the Lakers, it’s really pretty simple. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are the guys you want on this team and should be able to manhandle this Magic frontcourt. Anthony Davis is in the better form as he has at least 62 Draftkings points in back to back game but hard to say one guy is a better play than the other here. From the Magic, this is a tough spot for the forwards in Aaron Gordon and Jonathan Isaac. AD will be guarding them throughout the game and will make it tough on them. Evan Fournier has played some good basketball as of late and they will need his scoring to keep this one close, I like him here. Markelle Fultz and Terrance Ross are solid GPP guys as well.

5-star play: LeBron James, Anthony Davis

4-star play: Evan Fournier, Jonathan Isaac

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac, Markelle Fultz, Terrance Ross

Los Angeles Clippers @ Toronto Raptors

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Clippers, both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are in great spots here as they lead this team with usage pretty handily. The big story in this game is that it is a return to Toronto where Kawhi just won this team a championship. We’ve seen Kawhi dud in revenge games before, maybe it’s just not in his nature, but this will be a fun one regardless. Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell are both secondary plays but great for GPPs. From the Raptors, Pascal Siakam is playing an unreal amount of minutes right now, he gets a difficult matchup against either Kawhi Leonard or Paul George, but I think he’s worth a look in GPPs. Kyle Lowry is getting similar minutes and with Fred VanVleet currently questionable he could be in for some extra usage as well. If VanVleet plays I’ll likely fade and see how he treats this knee injury. Marc Gasol has 30+ Draftkings points in two of his last three games, on an 11 game slate I don’t feel the need to go there. Lastly, Norman Powell becomes a great value option if VanVleet ends up sitting.

5-star play: Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Kyle Lowry

4-star play: Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Pascal Siakam, Norman Powell (If FVV sits)

Deeper Value: OG Anunoby

GPP Sleeper: Lou Williams, Montrezl Harrell, Marc Gasol, Serge Ibaka

Houston Rockets @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Vegas Total: 228.5

Vegas Spread: Hou -11.0

Starting with the Rockets, James Harden has had three straight “down” games in his standards, being held to less than 60 fantasy points in each of them. I don’t see myself paying this price tag for him, it’s an insane $12.9k meaning he needs 64.5 Draftkings points just to hit 5x. Now, 5x value isn’t everything, you still need raw points, but on a big slate in a game that could blowout, I’ll go elsewhere. Russell Westbrook has actually looked pretty good as of late and I don’t mind paying the price on him. Clint Capela isn’t in the best form since having back to back 58 point fantasy nights, that said, he’s a secondary center option if you need one. Both Ben McLemore and PJ Tucker are playing big minutes right now and are solid last guy in plays. From the Cavaliers, Kevin Love is in terrible form as he has been held under 21 Draftkings points in five of his last six games. I will wait until he starts to get back on track before I go back to him. I don’t hate Tristan Thompson here, but on a big slate, he’s not any kind of priority against Capela. Both Collin Sexton and Larry Nance make sense as GPP plays, while Darius Garland can be played as a GPP value in a massive pace-up game for the Cavs.

5-star play: James Harden, Russell Westbrook

4-star play: Clint Capela, PJ Tucker, Ben McLemore, Tristan Thompson

Deeper Value: Darius Garland

GPP Sleeper: Kevin Love, Collin Sexton, Larry Nance

Charlotte Hornets @ Brooklyn Nets

Vegas Total: 217

Vegas Spread: Bkn -9.5

Starting with the Hornets, Devonte’ Graham has been pretty average compared to his price tag against the Nets this season as he has two starts averaging for 38 Draftkings points per game. That said, he’s an elite GPP play. This is a good spot for Terry Rozier as well but has been a bit boom-or-bust as of late. I would expect Cody Zeller to take back this starting center role at some point soon and if it is tonight I will be all over him against a bad Nets frontcourt. Miles Bridges and PJ Washington also make sense as secondary options. From the Nets, Kyrie Irving continues to be out, so fire up Spencer Dinwiddie who is one of the safer options on the slate in this matchup. Jarrett Allen is averaging 41 Draftkings points per game in two games against the Hornets this season, tough not to like him again here.

5-star play: Devonte’ Graham, Spencer Dinwiddie

4-star play: Terry Rozier, Miles Bridges, Cody Zeller, Jarrett Allen

Deeper Value: Bismack Biyombo

GPP Sleeper: PJ Washington, Taurean Prince, Joe Harris

Utah Jazz @ Minnesota Timberwolves

Vegas Total: 223.5

Vegas Spread: Utah -1.0

Starting with the Jazz, Mike Conley has already been ruled out for this game which should benefit Donovan Mitchell. That said, Mitchell struggled a little more than we may have thought given the extra usage. Overall I still like him as he has a 32.6% usage rate and 1.1 fantasy points per minute with Conley off the court. Rudy Gobert has averaged 41 Draftkings points per game in two matchups with the Wolves this season, he’s a solid option here. The same can be said for Bojan Bogdanovic who is very scoring dependent, but tough not to like him in an up pace matchup. Joe Ingles has been the biggest beneficiary of Conley being out, he will slide into the starting lineup and has scored 30+ Draftkings points in three of his last four games. From the Timberwolves, this is a difficult matchup for the whole team as the Jazz are one of the better defensive teams in the league. Karl-Anthony Towns who has averaged 49 Draftkings points in his two starts against Gobert this season is a decent option. Andrew Wiggins is in good form and will be in play for all formats. Jeff Teague went back to the bench and is questionable here, I’ll fade even if he plays. Finally, Robert Covington is a fine GPP play to round out the team.

5-star play: Karl-Anthony Towns, Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert

4-star play: Andrew Wiggins, Joe Ingles, Bojan Bogdanovic

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Andrew Wiggins, Robert Covington

Atlanta Hawks @ Chicago Bulls

Vegas Total: 222

Vegas Spread: Chi -5.0

Starting with the Hawks, Trae Young had a rough day last night but I’ll chalk that up to Jimmy Butler defense, I like going back to him here in a great matchup. De’Andre Hunter had a big night last night and played 40 minutes, he’s worth a shot in GPPs. Any time Jabari Parker goes back to Chicago I will have interest, this guy is a narrative guy, so I’ll be overweight in GPPs. From the Bulls, Zach LaVine is getting a crazy amount of minutes and playing pretty well, I like him here against a bad Hawks defense. Wendell Carter is apparently made of paper mache as he is probable due to an illness, a left thumb sprain, and a bruised tailbone. That said, it’s a nice matchup for him, but I don’t like the price tag. Lauri Markkanen is getting back to that price tag where I want to see more consistent higher scores, that said this is an elite matchup for him. Tomas Satoransky bounced back nicely last game after two duds, he makes sense here as well.

5-star play: Trae Young, Zach LaVine

4-star play: Lauri Markkanen, Tomas Satoransky, Jabari Parker

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Lauri Markkanen

New Orleans Pelicans @ Milwaukee Bucks

Vegas Total: 234

Vegas Spread: Mil -13.5

This game has the highest total on the slate and should be incredibly fast as we have two of the fastest teams in the league here. From the Pelicans, Brandon Ingram’s minutes have come down a bit over his past two games but I do like going back to him here hoping he comes in at lower ownership. Giannis will likely guard him on defense but in a game, with this kind of total, I’m not all that worried about “set” defensive ranks. Jrue Holiday isn’t in the greatest of form but the Bucks funnel points to three-point shooters so he could be in line for a big game here. Lonzo Ball has been all over the place, he’s a GPP play simply due to the fact he’s a triple-double threat every time he takes the court. From the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo is the man here and has a usage rate of over 35%, I would prefer him over Harden at almost $2k cheaper, which seems ridiculous. Khris Middleton seems to have made it back up to the 30-minute mark and I wouldn’t be surprised if that minute’s restriction is lifted here. I like him at this price tag. Eric Bledsoe isn’t in the best of form but has some good upside, I’ll save him for GPPs. The same can be said for Brook Lopez, who you hope can get hot from three.

5-star play:  Brandon Ingram, Jrue Holiday, Giannis Antetokounmpo

4-star play: Khris Middleton, Eric Bledsoe

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Lonzo Ball, Brook Lopez

Oklahoma City Thunder @ Sacramento Kings

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Starting with the Thunder, I don’t hate the price on guys like Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but they’re more of GPP guys due to the matchup. Danilo Gallinari and Steven Adams both draw pretty good matchups and aren’t priced terribly, both are secondary plays at worst here. Finally, Dennis Schroeder is always in play for GPPs for me. From the Kings, Buddy Hield is the boom-or-bust guy on this team, but he plays massive amounts of minutes which keeps him in play for me and has been fairly consistent as of late, he has 40+ Draftkings points in five of his last six games. Bogdan Bogdanovic is considered probable for this game but just doesn’t feel healthy right now, I’ll use this game as a wait-and-see type of approach. Richaun Holmes bounced back nicely last time out, but Marvin Bagley is expected to be back here if so Holmes will likely go back to the bench taking him out of my player pool. Guys like Nemanja Bjelica and Harrison Barnes may lose a few minutes as well.

5-star play: Buddy Hield

4-star play: Harrison Barnes, Chris Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, Steven Adams

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Harrison Barnes, Chris Paul, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, Steven Adams

Memphis Grizzlies @ Phoenix Suns

Vegas Total: 232.5

Vegas Spread: Pho -7.0

Starting with the Grizzlies, Jonas Valanciunas came back down to Earth in his last couple of games, but in a matchup against a weak frontcourt, he’s an elite GPP play. Ja Morant returned from injury with a bang going for 41 Draftkings points last time out, tough to not like him in a fast-paced game against this Suns defense. Lastly, Jaren Jackson and Jae Crowder make sense as GPP guys against this Suns team but nothing more than that. From the Suns, Devin Booker has put up some big numbers lately and the Grizzlies struggle with guards on defense, I love him for GPPs. Ricky Rubio has been so consistent it’s tough not to like him here, the price tag is more than reasonable as well. Kelly Oubre is the GPP guy that could get you 20 points or 50 points, boom-or-bust. Aron Baynes is probable here which takes Frank Kaminsky out of play and makes Dario Saric more of a GPP guy.

5-star play: Devin Booker

4-star play: Jonas Valanciunas, Ricky Rubio, Kelly Oubre, Dario Saric

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Jae Crowder, Jaren Jackson, Aron Baynes

New York Knicks @ Golden State Warriors

Vegas Total:

Vegas Spread:

Talk about a crapper of a game… two very bad teams to cap off the night. Starting with the Warriors, nobody other than Bobby Portis played well from this team last night. That said, this Warriors team plays some pretty bad defense other than Draymond, so I think we can target these guys in GPP. The only issue is, most of the guys we want to target are in that Draymond area for defense. These guys include Marcus Morris, Julius Randle, and even Mitchell Robinson. If I’m going anywhere on this team it will likely be with RJ Barrett but he only played 19 minutes last night so it doesn’t come without risk. From the Warriors, D’Angelo Russell is right back up to where he should be in minutes, this is a fair price tag for the usage we can expect out of him. Eric Pascall and Draymond Green are similarly priced, I don’t hate both as secondary plays. Alec Burks hasn’t seen his minutes impacted by Russell coming back and looks like he will continue to be a viable DFS option on this team. Finally, Glenn Robinson is playing good basketball and makes sense as a GPP option.

5-star play: D’Angelo Russell

4-star play: Eric Paschall, Draymond Green, Alec Burks, RJ Barrett, Julius Randle

Deeper Value: None

GPP Sleeper: Glenn Robinson, RJ Barrett, Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, Marcus Morris
